Last year this app worked okay as well as the year before. This year, I'm unable to change the moisture level (it keeps referring back to wherever it was), I'm unable to change the frequency of watering as in the past, and other glitches. I'm not sure what's wrong. The app has been okay in the past, but I actually much preferred my Hunter controller at my last house with a weather station. It automatically adjusted the run time depending on the temperature and time of year.

App notifications are blank. They used to show what was performed (what program completed) but not anymore since the last few updates. The notification pop-up after watering only says "B-hyve". This is on my Galaxy ZFold 3. I do like that i can point the app to my rooftop weather station. The app will use it to decide when to override my programmed settings based on MY weather at home and not the airport conditions like other systems.

I have purchased 3 timers to use at all three of our properties. I can control all of the units remotely (as long as they are connected to WiFi) and program and test zones SO easily. I recommend this app and the B-Hyve to everyone! Even my best friend who is a branch manager for a large irrigation supply company likes these for the ease of use and simplicity of programming.

Horrible - looks good but is a total hot mess. Confusing, host of intermittent issues, and completely unreliable. Horribly frustrating and a complete and utter waste of time and energy. Regret the hours of wasted time I've spent wrestling with this useless app! Save yourself the frustration and skip it all together. Hard Pass.

The app doesn't display text in the notification so you have no idea what the notification is for. The support email posted in the app store kicks back that it's no longer used. Orbit needs real developers.

Hideously bad. Non-intuitive, with no help or explanations. I get the impression this was made by the guys who designed the sprinkler systems, rather than an actual developer.

Since latest update app has gone from bad to worse. Still can't group zones into one zone to see all at once. Imperial only, metric doesn't work. Can no longer see live stats. So essentially usually when you're checking if it's working correctly.

Lately there's a display bug in custom watering. It crowds my stations up to the very top; The bottom of the screen is blank. The names of the stations on the bottom row are chopped off. Otherwise I love this app.

This new update is broken. Notifications are blank, cannot update wifi settings, doesn't water even though the program is still running. The 2021 version is so much better. Bummer!

Falls short on details. Test function locks up after 2 or 3 zones. Manual still shows old round pics, names are cut off. But, once it is set up, it seems to water pretty reliably.

So far it's been a waste of time just trying to set everything up. It found it then wifi won't connect. Now nothing will connect.

A terribly designed app for a product that struggles to do its relatively simple task. We're returning our devices, sadly.

App is buggy and does not accurately represent current moisture conditions. Showing 100% ground water saturation when is actually drought conditions.

The app is fairly intuitive, easy to use and has a lot of options for tweaking your watering schedule. My only major issue is not having more than four manual program slots with only four start times in each. If I want to run something for 10 minutes once an hour all day, I can't. This limitation doesn't make sense, especially with an app-controlled system. For basic needs like sprinkler and drip control it's great. Anything needing more frequent watering and this controller likely won't cut it.

I like being able to remotely control my irrigation. However, this app does have some bugs. I am using an Android version 10 device, and have issues when setting moisture percentages. After setting the percentages, they immidiately change to a different number. I have to input them multiple times. Also, text on the home page is run off the screen and not viewable.

I purchased this system in 2021 and love this controller. I am able to customize based on drought restrictions and other watering limits. One of my favorite features is being able to test the system without having to run back and forth to the main controller. I can do it all from my phone while standing next to the head I'm testing or fixing. The system is very intuitive and easy to program, and, in my area, it qualified for a rebate because of its "smart watering" conservancy capabilities.

Looked at several systems and the apps. Between this and Rain Bird, this has a far better rating. Waiting for my timer to come in the mail. In the meantime, I've noticed I shouldn't expect too much for features except ability to change things remotely. I've also noticed the app developers don't bother reading the reviews. That's sad. I hope mine works as well as some of the good reviews, but it's possible I won't have a history to view, good tech support, or any reason to buy a ground sensor.

Works well and in basic ops is pretty simple. I didn't turn on smart function so can't comment on its effectiveness. The notifications for watering completion I find are useful. The ability to have pics of the zones is a great way to have in working one creating/editing schedules. The scheduling is easy to set up for just about any typical lawn.

Great app! Works in Canada! You enter your city water restrictions (odd/even days, allowed hours, etc) and your type of grass/soil/terrain and the app manage the weather and decide when to water automatically! it is definitely a water saver! (You also have the option to create manual program and/or not to dedicate a specific zone to the automatic management). I can almost say nothing is missing :) ... Maybe only a tutorial and more manual programs slots.

Schedule never updates, no watering history, random soil moisture levels, back button no longer works, flow no longer shows. What kind of business is this

Loving It So Far! Replacing Scott's Gro with B Hyve. So far, very good! Only issue is when I attempted to add photos for the zones, Zones 1 and 2 somehow duplicated to Zone 2 and deleted Zone 1. I had to delete the duplicate and readd Zone 1. Also took photos a minute to stick for each zone and had to retake Zone 1 a few times. Issue is with the app and not the system though.

Unless I go out and see water coming out of my drip lines, I have no idea what's going on anymore. The water history doesn't seem to reflect what actually happened. When I manually turn on the zone it doesn't show on the app as if the zone is running. It might be it running or might not be. Scheduled watering's might go on or they might not even with the rain delay turned off.

Orbit B-Hyve works fine for their older products. Their newer products (XD timers for example) don't actually work with wifi, even with the Gen2 Hub. Orbit support is nearly nonexistant as they don't know how to troubleshoot beyond their script. Their go-to response is "get a warranty replacement". It's either that or they have you download the 'Orbit Assist' app to troubleshoot wifi and then take whatever that horribly inaccurate app says as gospel. I regret buying into B-Hyve and wish I could return all of the equipment and get a better supported system.

GAB. A. May 6, 2022

I just installed the B-hyve 8 zone this winter which i purchased from Amazon, and Installation was relatively easy. For the month of April and May I decided to use the smart watering feature which is working nicely. I'll continue to use the smart watering until there's a need to change. However, I'm extremely pleased with my new sprinkler water console vs my old digital 20 years old dinosaur.

So far so good! I'm pleasantly surprised switching over here from the blossom/ gro controller. This is a minimal fuss app, you put in your details, it accepts them, and implements it on the back end. There isn't a lot of hand holding, but if you know details like your emitters, soil type, and slope, you are rewarded with an intelligent schedule with minimal effort. There are some UX opportunities for sure, but honestly I just installed my controller and programmed it over my lunch break. A+
