Matthew Henry was a Christian theologian born at Broad Oak in Wales, United Kingdom. His father was a Church of England Cleric and gave his son a good education. He studied theology in London and became minister of Presbyterian Church at Chester.
He was the author of many publications, but the work for which Henry is famous is The Exposition of the Old and New Testaments.
This remarkable work provides a verse-by-verse study of the Bible, covering the complete Old Testament and the New Testament until Acts. After his death, the work was completed by a commission of ministers based in the notes taken by Henry.
Famous evangelical Protestant preachers as Robert Hall, George Whitefield and Spurgeon used the work and strongly recommended it.

Very nice app. Would be nice if there were different bible versions.
I absolutely love this app. It has a tool bar that is handy for when you need to get to the Bible quickly etc. Also I absolutely love that there is a daily (optional choices) verse that is shown with a nice scenic background accompanying it. Great for uplifting the spirit for GOD. Very good commentary to help understand the chapter you're reading. Only wish there were multi version of the Bible. Highly recommend it ....YES!!!!
I love the commentary. I just wish you would place it at the end of each verse, or at least every 2 or 3 verses, instead of all after verse 1 for the entire chapter (at least that's the way it is in Proverbs, which I read daily). I have vision problems, so I appreciate being able to enlarge the print to a size I can read.
I enjoy the commentary. It is very relevant to the verses. The only problem I have is that it seems to jump to another chapter and verse while I am scrolling. It may be my fault. I also would like to be able to mark the chapters after completing the study . Overall great job on the app!
Love how it can explain each verse(s)! The audio is good, you can change the speed and tone of voice. It also works offline! Seriously, I love this app! I cannot say anything bad about this amazing and simple app! Thank you so much for creating this app.
Easy to use and good information
A great app. My best for devotional study. I have used it for years, and quite glad about its seamless function.
Initially all was well with the app. As of today I'm not sure what happened. I went to read from Psalms and the system has reaped the chapter numbers from 1-6 I'm not able to open anything else. I will Uninstaller and see what happens
Fantastic app....but there should be a way to control those disruptive ads from interfering with the smooth running of this app.
This Bible commentary is different from several other commentaries that the authors claimed to be the best but on checking, I discovered they were all similar. I feel this one should claim first position. It is indeed an excellent app!
Very interesting Bible commentary, it's help me to know more about God, and lead's me to draw nearer to Jesus Christ my Savior. When I read bible verses and it's commentary for example Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 The first Verse of the Bible gives us a satisfying and useful account of the origin of the earth and the heaven. When we see heaven and earth, we learned the power of Great Creator. This Bible apps give us more insight about God, about His Son and of His Holy Spirit and about us.
I find this app true to its content, handy friendly interface and fast. It's satisfactory and rich in content for every user.

I really like the daily Word that comes every evening that sets the rest of my night and the commentary that follows. Easy to understand.
I ennjoy reading scriptures. And the commentary right below is the cherry on top. Providing deeper knowledge/ understanding, is at hand. Notes can be taken, for further research.

Its an app that would have been excellent except that after Psalm 99, the rest of the chapters appear as 11, 11, 11, 11, 12, 12, 12, 12 etc.
