The deeper commentary is an in depth verse by verse exposition of the entire Bible by Duncan Heaster; it is the complete version of the New European Christadelphian Commentary series. This is a modern, contemporary verse by verse exposition of the Bible released only in the last few years, already very popular amongst Biblical mainstream Christians, from Unitarians to Baptists, Christadelphians, Evangelicals and Pentecostals. This app offers more features and resources, absolutely and genuinely free, than probably any other free Bible app.
With this app you can study the Bible at whatever level appropriate to you. The opening screen has brief devotional thoughts on a selection of chapters for the day, according to the “Bible Companion” reading planner. If you just want a few quick thoughts on those chapters, then you can glance them in a few minutes. Tap on the chapters, and the text opens. Using the “Bible Companion” reading planner, you’ll read the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice in the course of a year. You can listen to the text of the Bible being read on audio by tapping a button. Or you can hear that chapter being read with basic interpretation and explanation, suitable for youth or those just beginning to engage with the Bible. Or there’s an in depth audio Bible study on every chapter, averaging around 15 minutes. The New Testament studies tend to be longer, and most of them would be appropriate for use in a breaking of bread / communion service.
Tap on any Bible verse, and you’ll get in depth exposition of it on the screen. There’s a powerful search facility too, if you want to find a Bible verse or Bible teaching about a specific theme or word. If you want to study the Bible systematically, there’s the Bible Basics study course. There are questions at the end of each chapter, and if you wish to study in this way, you can submit your answers and get a responses by email from a real, live personal human tutor. The Bible Basics course can also be listened to as audio. It’s been widely used for nearly 30 years as a course to prepare people for baptism.
All the audio material has the possibility of progressive play. If you start listening to the audio on one chapter, once the file is finished the player moves on automatically to the next chapter in the Bible. Whether you’re out jogging or going to sleep at night, this enables you to keep listening to the audio without having to manually click on to the next chapter.

Duncan has spent 35 years teaching and writing about the Bible, and pastoring churches in Eastern Europe and elsewhere. The material seeks to combine depth of thought and exposition with practical exhortation and appeal.

I love the commentary so much and its other features! I have one main problem though. I can't adjust the reading plan. I just started reading in the NT last February but the book on the home page is not the book that I am currently reading. It takes a few clicks before I arrive at the chapter that I was currently on. Please fix it :'> thank you and God bless!
This must be the best app available. NO ADS. Easy to navigate. Listen to the text as you drive and messages on every chapter. And for in depth study there's a verse by verse commentary which is not too academic and brings out the main themes. Makes some of those tedious Old Testament chapters come to life.
I was really on the lookout for a great audiobook version of the Bible and the content and lessons in this app are great, but the voice over artist really mucks this up with his constant swallowing of saliva, large gulps and heavy breathing I'm In the business of entertainment and this is such a put off as when you hear it, that's all you hear - and the content is lost. Such potential but completely lazy on the execution. Unfortunately dropping the app.
It helps to be exposed to progressively packaged reading material. Helps one to see perspectives which otherwise one may not have seen. I love material that has commentary. It really helps. God bless.
A very well thought out Bible companion. It is worth using daily for everyone who wants to learn more about God. Has audio of the text and inspiring encouragements too, which are great for driving/walking. Thank you!
Stumbled upon this site. Amazing very informative I am learning into the inside of Gods nature and the basics again. Even though I have been a Christian from 2005. This app is really helping me to really understand the Lord in a very deep way. And in a simplified form that is good for me. I am not really a reader more visual learning. But I seem to be reading alot on this app. Thank you Holy Spirit.
At the beginning (after installation) I almost gave up the apps because it took time to load (open), but after been patient for some minutes it openned and ever since I enjoyed using it; its fascinating! Great job Duncan! And will encourage everyone - young and old, Christadelphians and non Christadelphians to give a try to this app seeing there is a lot to be benefited therein especially the bible basics lectures for everyone willing to know the bible truth about God, Jesus, Satan or devil etc.
Very powerful app. I like the interface and the commentries plus the daily devotions. There are some few things however that have frustrated me, I have tried to look for options like Bookmark, Note Highlight and Copy but i have failed to get them, developers, please help!
An exceptionally great Bible app for aid in studying the bible and gaining a personal understanding of God's word without all the centuries of multinational religious beliefs. Seems to take me back to a first century apostolic setting. Will definitely prioritize this one for regular use and study. Thanks for making it available without all the intrusions from ads. God word should not be a vehicle for MATERIAL profiteering.
I really like the commentary of this app, however i dislike that every time i open the app it doesn't start from the last time i close it.. so i have to navigate (The navigation itself was inconvenient) and scroll to my last reading.. EVERYTIME..
Brilliant app. Firstly, the people who developed the content for this app are unpaid so to provide commentary for EVERY SINGLE bible verse is astounding. It's based on very sound doctrine and the true message of the scriptures. Whether you are a new/unsure believer or have been in the Truth for a while, this app provides the best daily companion to your bible studies around. I follow the Bible Companion daily readings and find the app invaluable for assistance with tricky passages. Essential!
Really love the app once i start reading cant stop.Good insights and connecting verses.Bible knowledge on another level.however i have some feedback 1.i find it hard to go back to where i was reading scripture coz when you switch off it loses the place you had left off. Finally i think you were harsh on solomon and also prosperity gospel.
The app itself is good, but the Bible Version and the Doctrines they promote is NOT Biblical. Bible Basics, which is a short compilation of their doctrines that can be found on the app, contains many errors: Bible Basics is available in many languages- e.g. Mongolian, Thai, Russian, Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian, Arabic, Farsi, French etc. We are unitarian, i.e. non-trinitarian. We believe the idea of the trinity is not in the Bible. We believe in the unity of God, and that the false doctrine of
Please I urge Christian's that truly believe in God not to download this app. When I downloaded this app I started reading the book of revelation until chapter three. I was overwhelmed by the deep knowledge that the writer revealed concerning this book. Later on I begins to search scriptures(in this app) because something in me was persisting that something is wrong. This writer is teaching the doctrines that the bible calls destructive heresies(2 peter 2:1)

At first I liked it. But as a seasoned old Christian, I began to sense false doctrine and also dogmatism. Unfortunately I'll be Uninstalling this app. Too bad because it has the potential to be very useful. Then I found out that he is a Christadelphian, not believing in the trinity..
The editors are extremely biased. Belief in the trilogy goes against the very basis of the ten commandments. It is idolatry, pure and simple. Any commentary on the Bible which doesn't take this as its basic premise will be very flawed.
This Bible app is a blessing! Great commentary on every verse and short videos on every chapter. I have learned quite a bit about love, g r a c e and forgiveness and about having a personal relationship with God and his son Jesus.
Warning: Loved it.... untill I read John 1:1. In this app, "The beginning" means only to the beginning of Jesus' ministry and when the blood & water came out of Jesus side, and not the beginning of time - sorry! And "The Word" means the message of Christ crucified and not the Logos spoken of in Genesis and that would become flesh and dwell among us. The problem is the writers adds words to the original text that cannot be supported, i.e John 8:58 "I AM" is "I am of higher status". Smh..
Best Bible App - I love the commentary it is right on. This App bring peace of mind to me in this choatic and riotous world in which we live. The Bible companion is exactly that a companion. I feel as if God walks with me plus the commentary is very enlightening, easy to understand and brings Bible reading to life - I like the books as well because they r well written and very to the point of what God wants us to learn about his purpose with the earth. Very enlightening and exciting to read.
I feel compelled to post my thanks to all who have have worked to develop this app. It has brought scriptures come alive for me. In the past I lacked motivation to read the Bible on a daily basis but now the app has enthused me to let God speak to me through his inspired written word.
The theological description and explanations are a mind opener. It is a very handy tool for Christians especially one who wants to broaden his/her historical knowledge about the bible. Courage to the team. I will like to have an option for night mode.
I love this app so much. I'm reading my way though the bible right now and this app helps me to dig deeper into each verse to better understand the messages. You can also listen to the bible reading though the app or just use the app to read the bible yourself!

I thought the bible was very nice but when I started reading the commentary I became quickly sick to my stomach. Please dont use this app. It is dangerous for your soul. So much false doctrine. I'm so disappointed to find this in a bible app. 😰🤢
