Insightful and essential to my soul! Glorious app in a multitude of ways! The daily devotionals are practical and help me to examine my choices in life as well as reflect on the positive ways that I can become a better person. And the bible verses for each devotional guide me in continuing God's will instead of my own. Additionally, this app allows me to save favorite bible passages as well as highlight key parts and share them to others. Hallelujah!
I have one thing that would help the app. On the opening page, under the date, there's some script that coincides with the daily scripture. It's not easy to read, be it the background or the color of the italics, it doesn't stand out thus making it difficult to read. Just one mans thought.
Guys, really? The devotionals themselves are great, but the adds, though few, are too much. The first time I opened the app, I saw not one, but two adds (sorry in advance) that were trying to sell the audio book 'the subtle art of not giving a f***.' You need to pay attention to the adds that pop up in your app. Sorry again about that. Have a great day WITHOUT this app.
I genuinely appreciate the daily devotional and have learned a lot There is a daily quote from the Bible with an explanation. After you complete the first part of the devotional. There is daily another reading to accompany it. This has sparked a lot of conversations for me with my family about Christ. Only downfalls are no ESV version for reading unless you download and I would like more unity sometimes across the devotional or maybe being able to go through a psalm or few verses. Thank you.
Ads really detract from this app as they aren't always clearly separated from content. It disrupts what is meant to be a meditative and prayerful moment in my day. I wish I could pay for an upgrade that removes them, but that doesn't seem to be an option.
Really love how this app encourages me to start my day with scripture and reflection. For the most part, the reflections are thoughtful. As other reviewers pointed out, the ads are annoying but that is true of any free app. So bottom line, I appreciate this daily devotional with its links to dive deeper into the Word.
Love, Love, Love the devotional - but the way it pops up on top of whatever you are doing and you can't minimize it unless you full-screen it first - Rude, Rude, Rude! I have learned to live with it - but for a long time I've really been hating on it.Sometimes I'm doing a timed thing that scores me -such as learning world flags- so 4 out of five - but come on guys Fix this annoying habit Please! or else it will be less stars from me- but as far as the devo goes - 10 stars-Thankusomuch+Godblessyou
A very good way to improve spiritually daily. It has a bible in it which makes everything easier. It also has great content but the problem met is the ads, which could really annoying, but aside that the app is a very good one which deserves a five star rating...
Needs more settings options, such as font size and white text on black. As is, it's very straining on my eyes. Content is great, but I wish it were more agreeable to interact with.
This is a great app for quick daily devotions. I have been using it for almost 2 years now. the reason i only gave it 3 stars is because after 200 or 300 badges the badge counter was not working every time I would i check off a day. And after 361 days it has quit working completely. i have contacted their customer support and have not received an answer or seen a change in how the app works. Like i said earlier it is still a great devotional app.
I haven't opened this app I've had it for a few weeks..and these annoying notifications kept popping up and one tonight did...so instead of closing it out, I clicked on it..and I'm very glad I did because of the messages that God wants you to hear and just learn from the Bible... If you take Jesus Christ in your heart and believe he died for our sins..download it. No disappointment here!! 🙌🙌🥰🥰
I absolutely love this app. It has been a beautiful addition to other devotions that I incorporate daily. I love having nearly immediate access to scripture. There is a beautiful feeling, looking forward to the daily devotion & am beyond blessed when, at random, my phone opens to the app. *time to spend a little extra time with Him 💫 🙏❤
It's a really good app and it does help you in certain times or areas of your life. It keeps God in your life even when your at your busiest. The only thing is the grammar. Mostly good, few mistakes though. But, overall, the app is wonderful and God bless the creator 🙏😇.
It is a great help in developing a habit of prayers and self evaluation in His light.We all need to pray more strongly in these times of temptation. Adding prayers to the text is a beautiful thing to do. Thankyou for the guidance.
love the apps, not the ads... it is distracting. an option to remove ads would be nice. the app itself is great, read it every morning. referred to many friends as well!!!
The ideas were there, but the writing is not good and the grammar is bad. I found myself getting distracted by trying to fix a sentence instead of being able to focus on the lessons. Also, the ads are very distracting and sometimes inappropriate.
I believe this application to be an excellent devotional. It includes the full Bible, a place to write little notes, a share feature, bookmarks and a way to mark favorites. I appreciate that it's free!
Overall Great. Though ads are necessary, I get my eardrums blown when they have to play LOUDLY. It's unfortunate when you wear headphones. But I enjoy the message, the devotional and the scripture. Thank you for making this available.
Simple, quick, and meaningful. I would like it if the background changed to a new color every week to keep each devotional the same, but otherwise I like it.
The ads are very invasive and mine is a full page trailer tipped over in a wreak day. A great way to start devotional. I keep being asied to rate the a 5 rather than just rate them. Does not feel like a Christian app!!
Good convenient app but there doesn't seem to be a way to change the daily notification time and it pops up at only 7pm, near the end of the day. I prefer to wake up to a daily devotion.
Look forward to reading these daily bible Scriptures every day,David Jacob's and Chipo Biti's inspirational messages about the Scriptures are good too especially when you have trouble understanding the Bible verse. My personal favorite of all Bible apps! Keep up the great work!
In these trying times, the Word is a sustainer! There is nothing more excellent than the manifold wisdom of God! It is strengthening, informative, educating and comforting! The Wisdom and insights the Word provides can't be overstated! The Word of God offers strength for all times!
I usually do not write reviews, but this is a horrible app. This is a devotion app. When I installed it, I was greeted with an advertisement to find matured women. Had a rude shock. Also, too much adveristments, which are distractions from spending time with God. I seriously do not recommend this app.
I'm 16 and I was raised as a Christian. But, after a while it wasn't me and I was really lost. I hurt myself, I was angry, I did stupid things. I didn't know what I believed in-but then my teacher mentioned Bible reading as one thing that defines Christians. Of course! I almost never read the Bible, and I figured that's as good a start as any. This app is really good at not turning scripture as just another way to get xp, and leaving it up to the Bible to speak for itself. I hope this helps. ;-)
Would it be possible to either allow the reader to make the top verse bigger, read it sideways , or put it in a larger print for us oldies with poorer eyes? Otherwise, great app. It was easier to read the last few days, so I gave 5 stars, and the letters are impossible again today. So back to 4
Love this time to spend with GOD, I will share with my friends and family... I'm actually in the New Testament now and plan on listening to it also.... I have a Kindle with almost 200 books on the Bible and other related topics that I read quite often..... I have been a Christian for the past 30 years and love IT!!
Excellent! But one problem is the pictures in each verses don't show up. Even if I have wifi connection. Pictures are not showing!!!!!
Latest update seems to have broken the little blurb at the top... I usually read that part first thing in the morning and then later when I have more time I read the full entry... but as of the last update I am getting just the background... I really like this app.. I use it every day.. I wish there was a no ads version, I would definitely throw a few dollars towards no ads..
