The old version was way better! I'm not feeling this "pro" at all. I subscribe to biblegateway in order to be ad free and all I see are useless ads! Navigating through the app is not seamless or user friendly. I use the reading plans a lot and it always takes a while. I have to use the menu drop down top left, constantly. I also have to use the back button a lot as there's no other way I see to navigate through the app seamlessly. I don't like complaining but, I feel this all needs to be voiced.
What's happened to the beautiful slimline Bible reading experience? The one where it remembers where you were last time. And simply continues to the next chapter. I don't need a rehash of the website. At least keep the good when adding the clutter. Uninstalling and looking for something better for reading.
Too many adverts. Difficult to navigate and read due to badly laid out font and too many off putting adverts. Two on a page. Ridiculous. Uninstalled after 10 minutes.
This new update has spoilt my enjoyment of exploring God's word. It is no longer user friendly and has to many pop-up ads now. If you can role back to the previous version that would be a step in the right direction.
To Developers: many reviews seem to want the older version of Bible Gateway instead of Bible Gateway Pro. The original Bible Gateway was very popular. Why can't the older version be also fielded on the App Store so that readers can make their choice between original and pro versions?
Adverts are intrusive and make using the mobile app irritating as they cover a huge amount of the page which constantly has to be swiped to get to the search box etc. And why Pro? Just more adverts.
The previous app was near perfect. This new interface is a jumbled mess with extra large adverts. No longer useful for'just' reading Gods Word.
Pro? I looked hard for a way to pay to remove the ads, but no. This is a constant reminder that money is everything. (American perhaps?) Luckily there are many alternatives. Shame, it was really good.
So much more difficult to use than the old version. Not impressed. I'm going to investigate other bible study apps as alternatives, i've never needed to until now because bible gateway was perfect. What a shame.
Bible Gateway Pro is not as good as the original Bible Gateway. It often does not bring up the translation I would like. Very frustrating. I would appreciate the old version back.
Was using app but without prior notice they removed Bible version i was studying for years hence lost my higlights/notes. Cant be trusted as app owners are like politicians and can do what they feel like doing.
My 'go to' app for all translations of the bible - inserting readings into service sheets, comparing phrases in study, just easy to use. Thanks!
Very slow, heavy advertisement and poor app design. Does have the David Suchet reading of the Bible which is the best part.
Im disgusted ive just signed up to a PAYING YEARLY customer like sooo many other PAYING customers and seeing ADVERTISEMENTS that are NOT WANTED OR NEEDED and are EXTREMELY intrusive. Ive emailed the developer and Biblegateway themselves and let my feelings known and stated soo many other PAYING customers are also feeling the same way as i do and if issues are not resolved i will be cancelling my payments and uninstalling and refuse to use ever again!!!
Excellent for travelling if you don't want to pack your bible... allows quick daily light text readings too... I've found it very useful... thank you Bible Gateway
The title "verse of the day" covers half of actual verse (in mobile version). Seriously annoying. Could you please sort it.
Very good App all the moaning about Ads is a symptom of the world we (western) world we live in, some people sleep on the ground, some are fleeing persecution, some have a genuine problem.. An Ad or 2 I'm sure we could deal with.
Ads totally ruin the app. Would be happy to pay money to remove them but not given the option.
App won't open but crashes on startup when showing the notice about ads.
Good App. I recommend to all to download to read different versions side-by-side at a time.
Bad update. App now of no value. All my saved favorite verses gone, just like that! Been saving and using these for years!
Why try to fix that which does not need fixing, bring back the old. Deleted already.

Many adds from Google, very unhappy with these. Please provide just Bible Gateway, not this "pro" version.

I am happy to pay - but still get adverts! - not acceptable
Great app too many adverts. I would like to be able to pay to remove the adverts but I can't see a way to do this. Still recommend it though. A search facility in the audio Bible would be good rather than having to go back to the main gateway, and for future development a voice search in the audio Bible for visually impaired people would be great. ( I'm not visually impaired but I want all people to access the Bible without barriers).
