Bible - Word of Promise®

In general I've found this app to be excellent and a great tool for study, in that respect, it definitely deserves 5⭐! However, it doesn't seem to want to open in Android 11 (go ver.) on my Nokia CO1+, with 1gb RAM. I have a 128gb SD memory card but can't seem to save the audio files anywhere but internal memory. So if it's just not compatible, I'll have to not use it on this phone, although that'd be a shame bc I use the app a lot and I'll have to carry 2 devices...kind of inconvenient.

Great app. Not working as well as it used to. I have to press buttons (play, rewind, etc.) several times to get it to respond. It also keeps popping up warnings about the app not working. Not sure if this is a Samsung phone specific issue, or if it's due to some recent update. 🤔 I am hesitant to delete and reinstall because in the past it has been difficult to sign in and restore purchased. Please help...

Update: I'm unable to search the app, no matter what word is used. Can we get an update to this bug? Thank you! Great app! One update i would like to see is more colors for notes so the contrast between text and highlighted background is better. Options are very limited in colors. Thanks!

I purchased the paid version of the app several years ago and I absolutely love it! As I get older I'm finding it hard to read for very long at a time with my fading vision so it's perfect for longer bible "reading"! The dramatization makes it come to life. If you love God's Word ♥️, I cannot see how this would do anything but bless and enhance your Bible time!

Really needs configuration to be done in the background when starting up and to be more instantaneous, makes the app feel dated, also please update it to go straight To the Bible and not the add on devotionals then it would be 5 stars as the audio and cross references are great.

Can you get rid of the home screen that has been added and go straight into the Bible, it just adds an unnecessary extra step before we can start reading and listening. My Christian faith may not agree with the podcasts and sermons that your force me to consider every time i open the app. It makes me concerned that the app can deteriorate after purchasing it. Also on the Apple TV version we are given options to watch man made cities while reading the Bible....surely God made nature would have been more appropriate.

I using paid version. Hanged frequently on my samsung android phone after latest updates. The app response is so slow. Please roll back the changes!

l would like to give the app five star, BUT please incorporate a function that allows me to play a verse or chapter, OVER AND OVER AGAIN without moving to the next verse/ chapter. 🙏🏾

This is a solid, modern Bible app featuring an orthodox and readable NKJV for free. The navigation to any book or chapter is the best I've used. No scrolling up and down thru the new or old testament, everything is laid out in a nice grid you just tap. It's superior. With the audio book in-app purchase, it highlights each vwrse as it is read - awesome. The readers lightly dramatize which helps me remember the verses. The readers are well cast and not cheesy. Excellent app.

I love the app. I do not like Christs voice. I do not understand why they made his voice so timid and unmasculine. It's wierd.

Excellent. I love this App very much. NKJV Audio Bible & NKJV Study Bible are Outstanding. But, Two improvements required for this app. 1. Audio Sound is low in the app - It requires an equaliser to resolve it. 2. Audio Speed increase & Decrease Option is missing which is surely required.

Wonderful app love it. I saw below someone who could not get audio on phone. I had to go to my phone settings and turn on the media volume and all is OK. I do have one problem on the phone app the tree does not come up in the box when I touch verse -- is there a setting I am missing. SAMSUNG GALAXY A51

I started using this app in 2014. This app with change your life and walk if you let it! It puts you there with Christ and the apostles as Christ teaches, you are there with Paul as he writes his letters from prison waiting for his beheading. Its all here, A beautiful and powerful way to learn and study the Word of God. I highly recommend it but most importantly use it every day.

MP3 high quality audio is excellent but poor quality bible app. I bought full version. Very disappointed in the all itself but will still use. previously rated as a 2 as audio file quality options was not apparent and poor audio was auto downloaded.

Everyday I get my personal Bible and read along with the app. When I can't use my Bible I love hearing this app. The sounds affects and the different voices behind the saints of tge Bible. What a fantastic app. So much diligence has gone out by this. Thank you so much for the Word of Promise app.

My dad has had the app for some time and works great for him. I downloaded it and for some reason the audio will not play on my phone I have an Android phone, but so does he. Any help will be appreciated on how I can get this to work. I enjoy listening to it from him device when I visit home. Thanks for reading. -Destini

I bought this app. I have the licence and now I can't restore my purchases on my tablet. I have it on my phone and iPad and works well but on this tablet, it is asking me to repurchase it. When I click on the Old and New Testaments, it tells me they are 100% downloaded but still asking me to purchase them and not restoring the purchased items.

For one who love the word of Gox, after you have bought the NKJV Study Bible, is such a great resource . The many scriptures that you have access to and expound on the particular scripture you are meditating on, is like finding treasure on a treasure hunt using the Tree of Life tool. The bible is more that black lettes on a page. It is alive and will change you. It's like looking in the face of God, beholding Him and being transformed into His image. Thank You God for the particular bible.

Brings the Bible ALIVE with purchase of audio version. Well worth the $. Characters, background music, real life presentation amazing. I rely on it daily. Once downloaded, no wi-fi needed!!!

It would be perfect if i didnt have anything else at the starting screen except for the Bible. I dont watch podcasts and that "devotional" thing seems extra...anyway, best Bible app i found worth the money

Used this app every day until the last Android update on my Galaxy S10+. After the update this app no longer appeared on my phone and can't be installed through Google Play or the Amazon app store. PLEASE FIX!!! I will update this review once this problem is resolved.

Excellent App with great audio quality. I love this app so very much. This NKJV Study Bible is very useful. Just don't see the price even though it is high. I believe it is really more worth than the price.

The best bible app out there! The price of the app is a little high but its worth it to read the word of God!! I love it when it reads it to you word for word every chapter as you read along with it!

Love this app, however, the audio has stopped working. Not sure why that is, all my other apps audio work fine.
