Hey everyone. I rate this app 1 star because it's actually not the official app. I came across two Mormon ads while looking up bible verses. Completely not in line with the Christian faith. I contacted Bible Gateway and they have confirmed that the Harper Collins is the official one and that all ads are checked by them. I say this here to raise awareness and that we as believers truly depend on the only true Word of God as seen in the Christian Bible alone.

This app plays off the innocence and ignorance of Christians. The real app is created by Harper Collins/Zondervan. Look at number of downloads...10K vs millions. Search "bible gateway", don't run words together. This app runs ads, appears to hijack google + and twitter.

I've used Bible Gateway for a number of years & am so grateful for each of the different versions offered ... These always give me an opportunity to understand the essence of THE GREATEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN ... Given a variety of perspectives, I can hold up and pray for The Holy Spirit to impart clarity & inspiration on what it is God has purposed through His Holy Word! And it doesn't hurt that the "Gateway" also provides added tools & resources such as studies & commentaries to aid our understanding! Amen!

I have been subscribed since August to the Old/New testament reading plan, and the Proverbs monthly plan. I went to read this morning and everything I had read is erased. It is telling me I have to subscribe all over again and it doesn't start my reading from where I left last.

This app has a lot of potential. It comes with a lot of features but the app itself is very buggy. Especially the audio Bible section. For instance, when the screen rotates, it will cut off what you were listening to and sometimes send you back a few chapters even though on the screen it says you are still on that same chapter. There are also long load times. The app has some redeeming qualities but perhaps isn't the best choice. With an update or two, it could be great.

The app is sluggish on my Galaxy S5. It is also not very blind friendly. Hopefully they will take this into consideration for future updates.

not the official app. lots of unavailable, premium content and features. it's hard to get some settings to stick. I'm going to change to a King James Holy Bible app and hope for better results.

Like that I can get many different versions of the word. Very easy to use.

Can you please tell the readers to read louder because my phone is at full volume and I still can't hear what their saying

This is a copy of the original Bible Gateway this isn't even created by the same company. People who believe in the Bible don't steal, it is wrong.

The app itself is OK, but some of the ads which come up would not be what one expect s from Biblegateway

Very good. I've used this Bible version for sometime now and it doesn't glitch. Consistent, great audio and easy to read.

I know they have to make money, but I don't need to see diaper ads while I'm trying to read the word

I Love the convenience since I'm on my phone or computer I have no excuse not to keep "GOD" first!

Love the fact that I can look up scripture whenever and wherever but the share feature doesn't work in the app or on the website :-/

But the app is useless. Can't even seem to change the bible translation without a struggle. Not sure if its not compatible with my phone or just a bad app but I was better off with the paperback version.

I don't mind if there are advert since this is a freeware but I find that having those war games advert advertising in a Bible app is not so appropriate. I don't mind Christian advert.

Would be a perfect app if only junk ads not take up screen space. Uninstalled. Google pimp ads ever where. Lame

By the same company that owns a smaller company that publishes The Satanic Bible. stay away from anything Zondervan does.

Whenever I have it read aloud it always stops playing. It never just plays straight through even though I have it set to play continuously. It just stops right in the middle of a verse.

I found it to be very helpful when studying. I can go to Matthew Henry commentary when I need extra help when I don't understand a scripture. It breaks it down for scriptures for dummies. Thanks Bible gateway

I'm glad I was able to redownload. I like to hear our promise and true history. Pray for school to re teach.

Too many ads, they fill 40% of the page. Minimal screen area designated for selecting next chapter. Lastly, you need an account to highlight things. Doesn't have much of a Bible feel, at least to me.

This app needs help as it quites after a few hours of listening.
