The service is quite good and there's been a big improvement since the bikes are all together (both mechanical and electric), but there is still some margin of improvement. Issue 1: the situation of available bikes does not get updated unless the user turns off/on the app. Issue 2: sometimes after reading the QR code it says that my Bluetooth is no active or I am to close to the station (!?). Issue 3: if there is a sw update available, the users cannot use the app unless they install it first.
The functions of the app are great, but they don't work. The app never displays the correct number of bikes that are actually in the station. This is really infuriating because it becomes impossible to plan trips around the city on bicing because the number of bikes in a station displayed on the app cannot be trusted at all. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE! EVERYONE COMPLAINS ABOUT THIS! IT'S THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH BICING!
Really like your service and want to like it more but the information for available bikes and parking spots on the map is almost always inaccurate. And occasionally, the unlock bike with QR scanner mechanism doesn't work. It would also be very useful if the map showed my favorite stations with another color or icon.
The QR reader does not function in my app. I have to either use my card or enter the code manually to release the bike. Reinstalling the app has not helped. Despite advice (below), drawing back the camera does nothing. The QR reader displays a message to enter the code manually, right from the beginning. This is quite annoying!
App was ok but since last week I cannot open it. getting loading and app doesn't open Beside this there some possible improvements like. save route history suggest route even far away the station to pick up the bike during the route map should automatically move to the current position those are just some possible improvements
I am not giving 1 star to the app , but to price and service. I still see crazy you need a subscription to use the city bikes and 35-50 euros is too much (I can afford, but not everyone can). Why not having same as London, where you can take the bike just using the credit card? And first 30 are free without any subscription. THIS SHOULD THE SERVICE TO INCENTIVIZE PEOPLE USE BIKES, NOT TO MAKE MONEY. I use it only because other turistic alternatives have turistic price. + No discounts for COVID
I've used Bicing since it started. Some years have been worse than others but over time there has been a gradual improvement. The introduction of electric bikes could completely transform the transport system if the government invests in better and more bike lanes. Overall I'm a satisfied user.
The service is good, but there should be an option in the app to report bikes not working. I have walked 10 mins to a station with 6 bikes in the app, but all had the red light. I then walked another 10 mins to the next station with 4 available bikes, all of them had the red light. There is no option in the app to report this.
The app is very bad. While using the card that you get sent by post is working just fine, the app is simply not working 9 out of 10 times. When I called the customer service to ask why I can't unlock the bike with the app they literally just hung up the phone after 1min.
Amazing service. I wish there was some equipment to install the cellphone on the bike so I don't have to hold it in my hand to check the maps. And that the app could tell the time remaining before the end of the 30 minutes. Overall great job.
Hands down the worst bicycle sharing service I have ever experienced. What is worse is that they have monopolized the market. I am now on my way to a 5th station in a row, trying to get a bike. Absolute waste of time. You can't rely on the app, and most of the time the bikes are being "maintained", if there are Any. I don't even want my money back. I want the time I wasted back. After 4 weeks of multiple failed attempts to benefit from it, I am commited to help another company enter the market.
I can honestly say that this is the most god-awfully designed and functioning app I have ever had the pain to use. not only does the interface look like a freshman highschooler made it, but it also fails to let you log in 9/10. it is quite literally garbage
Very poor app. Continually stalls, very slow. Map loads on a view of the world instead of Barcelona. Login process is clunky. Obtain a bike feature freezes telephone.
there is a bug when a station is filled with new bikes, users can not take a bike and they later need to wait 10 mins, because they borrowed and returned a bike. would you consider implementing a route planner? focused on periodical trips. the users could plan a trip: starting + end station and approx time. it will help you plan refilling and station expansion planning
Synchronizes very slowly. And, always complains about some Bluetooth problem. Using different phones didn't change anything, same Bluetooth issue.
I experience hard time using the APP since it does not have ENGLISH support. I use the app very rarely, instead I use other apps with ENGLISH support. Please add ENGLISH language in the options.
Misleading info displayed. Stations tend to have issues and malfunctions also the bikes themselves. No user should feel lucky to get a bike when needed - I know is not an expensive public transportation but they could care more in maintenance and service.
Terrible app. Very rarely works to unlock bikes, resulting in having walk to several different stations to find a bike/station where it will work. PLEASE FIX.
The app is work just fine. However bicycles are quite bad and the customer service it's awful, very arrogant people. I'm writing this review after several calls in more than a year I had with them, always worst!
Fantastic service but terrible app. inaccurate information, always carry your bicing card with you. because the code scanner is not working properly and will let you down tine and time again 😪 12/6/19 edit, even worse then before. no dedicated electronic bike place so almost impossible to find a electronic bike. I have two small complaints. One is there is no way to electronically report a particular bicycle that's not fit for use. II as is the case just now, it says they were bicycles but there were no bicycles.
App is great, just far too often I am guided to stations with bikes I cant use or have flat tires.. The is need for improved accuracy.
You will only find a bike approx. 1/2 of the time. The other 1/2 you will find empty stations or, even worst, broken bikes or lots of perfect bikes and a broken station.
I'd give a five star rating if it have English language. I understand that the app is mostly for Spanish people but there is also number of residents who aren't fluent in Spanish (like me)
Overall the app is great, but sometimes it doesn't refresh so you walk to a station and there are no bikes or they're broken.
I live up in Maragall and there is rarely Bicing in the area. Only a customer client by phone where no one make any effort to speak slowly and clearly so I can understand (sorry I don't speak Spanish fluent even though I make the effort to speak Spanish) . Many times I took electric Bicing that wasn't working but still got charged for it. Where can I send written reclamation? I'm more and more disappointed by Bicing.
App is very user-friendly. I have only had problems with the barcodes once or twice - I found out later that it might be because someone just parked the bike and the app had still not registered it. The only major problem is accuracy and parking availability. The app shows the inacurate amount of parking spaces so that when I arrive, there are actually no spaces at all. Happens to me every day at the moment. Other than that, the bikes are AMAZING!
