Big Buttons Keyboard Standard

I have an older Acer A200, Android 4.0.3 and installed this through goo playstore. This works on my older device, thank you, as I've downloaded many other keyboards to see which one will work without the UI stopping, or getting the "unexpectedly stopped working" errors that I get in other keyboards. The layout is like a grid. This is the only keyboard that I haven't had to disable sound on key press as it is not loud and ear shattering as on other keyboards. It does not have word completion, so you have to type in the full words yourself, and no word prediction. Because of no word completion, you have to hit the space bar after each word you enter, so it's like typing on a mechanical typewriter in that respect. Double hit space bar adds a period. There are two arrows atop keyboard. Left arrow goes back an empty space or completely deletes last word entered. Forward arrow reenters word. A nice simply keyboard that still works on older devices. That means we don't have to dispose of them in the world's landfills, as most of the time these electronic items are not dismantled, their materials separated out for partial recycling, but end up in the landfill.

I cant give 5 stars for one reason. The free version worked great and fills the entire length of the phone in landscape mode. However, the deluxe PAID version does not. It is pushed over to one side of the screen and too small to be of use. I have changed all the settings i could to see if it was something i had set wrong. No luck. The only size you can change is the height of the buttons, not the length. I have to switch back to the free version when in landscape and it works great but is a hassle. I like to type in landscape when composing emails or long texts. This is very frustrating. Poirtrait mode works beautifully.

BigThumb loves this. I tried dozens when my Google keyboard died. This is fast, doesn't cause seizures. Open the icon and read instructions. Will answer some questions. I unchecked the box where double-click enables period and shift-change for the next letter. Had to go back and correct, more often than this was useful. Easy fix. My phone's 1of those where ANY keyboard can accidentally display character above character you press. Still learning to adjust aim. Needs emojis & stickers! StepStone

Excellent keypad. Just got a new Android and the Samsung k/b was awful. Then tried Google k/b... tons of typos. Infuriating to say the least. Big Buttons solves those issues and zero typos. I actually use BB in portrait and have already gotten used to it. BB is a godsend. Thanks.

Fantastic. Have struggled on tiny keypads for years. The big layout on portrait means I dont have to waste time going to landscape. Big and basic, yes please. No permissions required so a safe app. AAA+++ I like to carry the smaller 4" phones so this is great.

The only issue I have is the hide keyboard button. It does what its supposed to do but also when you dont want it to. You should make it double tap instead of single tap. And spellcheck doesnt work well in the paid version.

Great app for people that can't see well. Like the key arrangement. The only problem I have is, I wonder what the app keeps running for. Even if you havn't touched your phone in 24 hours, it's been running the whole time.

Caused several lock ups on my S10 Plus. Annoying pop up adds. auto spell mistakes often. buttons are big, but i still get wrong letters. It looks great but needs work for me to put money into. I wont remove it yet, ill wait to see if they address these issuses.

Android reports heavy battery comsuption. Why? Will uninstall. Hard to follow the letters order. Can you provide a sorted layout, first for vowels, then the consonants. Qwerty keyboards make no sense in a phone in vertical. Could you please add a different key bacground color every two rows?

This app is just what I've been looking for. Easy to use with my big fingers. One thing though; it would be great if somehow the apostrophe could be on the main letter screen instead of the number screen.

would be 5 stars but my note 9 freezes when using the keyboard on emails. sticks behind itself so your constantly waiting for it to catch up. I've used bb for years & I'm surprised at this -doesn't seem to cater for the newest phones. A shame ...

I would make it five solid stars, but for one tiny (though important to me) little problem. Please add an emoji button to the keyboard. One that'll give you an instant choice of available emoji's. But otherwise a very great app, thanx!

Used this for Years, have neuropathy and cant feel my fingers. I can watch and easily see that I am in proper square. Bravo, but now I bought a iphone 11 pro max and tiny keys have me constantly correcting! Make one for iphone? Thanks, I typed this with no corrections on Note 3, about same size screen!

Downloaded "Big Fingers" years ago love it to this day. Just picked up new Samsung and continue getting message this app is intended for older version. Yes, even after fresh install, reboot, all that , stuff. Hope this is dealt with soon? Minor inconvience of late to yust delete message. But as usuall always comes at right moment to say, Aw S-it, not again? Otherwise fo my bpurpose its being used I would be 5!

Excellent Keyboard. I have been using the Standard version for nearly 3 years and very happy with it. Many thanks to the developer for providing the Standard as a Free version.

I've had this app for 3+ years without any problem........but today it stopped functioning properly, and then screwed up my ability to use my phone for be 2+ hrs. Try to do ANYTHING WITHOUT A KEYBOARD...... I lost all function until I was be able to reinstall original google keyboard..... Now ,,I'm afraid to try Big Buttons again.

Layout is just to strange. At 68 I don't need learning curves :) Another bright idea by someone who ignored the obvious. "Don't re-invent the wheel, just improve it"

NOTHING in the Pro version works: e.g., no word suggestion, no auto correct,.etc. Im running Android 11,.is that why?

This is a great idea but wouldn't it have been easier if the keyboard had been alphabetic ie A - Z Save having to learn a system strange to everyone. Then it would have been worth 5 stars.

Used Big Buttons Standard for years now and loved it. Great size and ease of use and love the white on grey theme. Just Upgraded to Big Buttons Deluxe to check out the extra features

Due to cornia ulcers, I have very poor vision. This app (& even moreso, the paid upgraded version) is amazing! It is beyond helpful! I would recommend this app to anyone with bad eyesight, those trying to prevent eye strain and people who are colorblind!

worked great on my pixel 1 phone. switched to pixel 2 and cant get it to work , other keyboards will install. I paid for premium version and cant use

the keyboard is fine i got one problem with it iyou can not set it size wise below 90 % which is to big it covers to much of your screen i want it to about 60 but can not change it it want slide lower than 90

Used your keyboard for years. Upgraded to 2018 Samsung A7 and now I don't have ê, ë, ï anymore. Have to use other keyboards now and keep on deleting as I'm typing incorrectly on smaller keyboards. Please update and let us know!

After latest android update the additional characters can not be seen (overlapped by messenger, email...) at "e", "u" and "o". Please check and update. thx

Using from last 7 years. Once you get used to this, you wouldn't use any other keyboard. Seemless typing, simple UI. Just amazing

Unfortunately, my BB keys stick when typing. I tried at least 4 other large button keyboards and this app was the only one where the keys stick while typing.

This trash of a keyboard put a bunch of odd buttons on my android. Trying to uninstall the app and it will not let me. Uninstall is greyed out. BEWARE OF THIS GARBAGE OF AN APP

Could not keep using phone without it, and like this one best of the enlarged keyboards.On my old phone I purchased pro version because I like so well.
