Big Finish Audiobook Player

I've had this app for a while now and I haven't had a single issue with it. The filters are easy to use, Playback never fails, and it is quick to load new purchases from the site.

So the cover art is still bugging out (becoming a bad issue for me) and the status bar/notification drawer doesn't like the audio player staying on it for more than 3 minutes at a time when it's pause. The fast backward/forward button needs to be changeable to 10/15 seconds as well going back 30 is way too much.

Love it Updates with new purchases quickly. Good sort options. Simple but effective. Please add a function to mark story as read.

Does what I want it to do. You will get use to adjusting the settings with time. Adjust it to your liking. Best of all it allows you to store on your flash drive ! Will not take up your previous internal space. Like most apps like to do !

Intuitive & does what it says! If only all apps were this good, it does what it says on the tin, it's easy to use and has all facilities except, as others have mentioned, the ability to 'check off' what you've already listened to which would be a useful addition.

Generally pretty good. But when listening through Android Auto it doesn't pause when Sat Nav audio plays meaning you miss part of the story

Brilliant app for exploring some of the very best of audio adventures in any medium. You'll experience: some of the very best Who - full of verve, and joy, and sadness, and delight; Torchwood being consistently spectacular like S3 but varied like S1-S2; spectacular adaptations of the ilk of King Lear or HG Wells; inventive spin-offs from the world's of Who including from River Song to Gallifrey; and so much more. In addition to this it is a really well designed, thoughtful app. Top marks.

Works pretty well and seems to integrate properly with other bits of Android... But I'd like the ability to delete downloads from my device and decide where they download to (internal storage or SD card).

Easy to find what you're looking for if you know what range it's in. Do wish there was a streaming option instead of having to download (or if there *is* streaming it were easier to find)

Edited: Nice app but it would be nice to have the facility to tick off programmes as you have listened to them, especially as your collection gets larger. A simple tick over the cover image or tick box one the same row. Having a way to quickly download all of your stories would also be good. But as a listening and occasionally purchasing app (links to the website) it does all that it needs to, and neatly. Thanks.

Great to have access to all your Big Finish purchases on your phone! Audio quality is good :) Download speeds through WiFi is usually quite fast. The only thing I find problematic is that when trying to download items, it defaults to "internal memory" even though I keep resetting it to download to the SD Card. Eats space on the internal memory if not careful!

App keeps failing to download files and randomly goes silent when playing audio stories. In turn, this seems to break that specific audio, meaning I have to delete it and redownload it. Edit 1: App now deletes all boxsets I have downloaded whenever it feels like it. Edit 2: App now stutters when playing some audios before failing to respond. All of these issues are happen when using extended storage. Hope they can fix this as some of the downloads are rather large.

I love this app! If you close it and reopen it later then it will remember where you left off from. It's the same for if you start another audiobook, the app will remember where you paused on the other. My only issues are the audiobooks arent grouped in doctors which can make it messy and you cant buy any audiobooks from the app, but instead need to go to the website. Apart from that, perfect!

Well worth it if you're a Big Finish customer. Before I found it I either downloaded and moved files manually to my phone/tablet or uploaded to Google play. This is so much easier to use, anything purchased can be downloaded and played on my devices. Very easy to use, playback is fine. My only quibbles are that it doesn't keep a note of where you left off and not all titles seen to have a proper chapter structure.

A good app, that plays well. It makes the download of stories easier. It could be improved by having better controls from the lock screen, as at the moment all you can do is pause playback. FF and REW would be useful. Also, access to the BF store would be handy, optimised for the mobile, as the website is a pain on phones.

The app works very well and I have endless appreciation for the brilliant people at BF... that said there is room for improvement of the app, like anything else. I dont care for the new font--it's too wide and generic looking. You can't purchase items with it--that must be done on the website. And it doesn't show you the numbering/ ID of the series/episode.

Love this app! It's one of the only apps that remembers where the audio left off and picks it right back up again when I'm using Bluetooth in the car. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that! And I haven't even mentioned how lovely it is simply to have all my Big Finish audios ready to play on demand whenever the opportunity arises!

The App is, for the most part, great. However, it flickers wildly and is completely unresponsive if left to run to the end of a story. When this happens, you have to close it, and reopen, to get it working again. It's been like this fore years, and has never been fixed, despite numerous updates.

Bit confusing but once you realise you're not shopping on Big Finish but you're downloading from your library it all makes sense. Playback good. Info excellent.

Just an all-round solid app, great Doctor Who content! Can be a little pricey, but if you don't mind that then this will be great gor you!

I LOVE Big Finish! Their stories remind me of the classic radio shows from the 30's. I wish I had every story!

I have had not a single glitch with this ap and have used it well over 100 times. It's never let me down or even so much as hiccuped.
