Should be able to correct a on duty driving or personal conveyance to driving but the app won't let you. Nothing like getting a hundred miles from somewhere and realize you forgot to change it. Good way for us to get a moving violation. I think big road is reading the regulation wrong. Yes driving is driving but you should be able to correct a driving status from on duty driving to driving or off duty driving.
The app use to have the ability to edit the drive status and after an updated, the drive status edit is no longer an option, this causes problems when a driver is in a incorrect status and no longer is able to correct the status. The app only tells you to add a note but that will not adjust a the drive time. This app no longer has the great features that made the app great in the first place, if any driver has a high pace work schedule this app is not for you.
Device works as it should. Costumer service is none existent. Sent me a bill for doubel the ammount agreed up on. Tried to call and email. No one answer the phone after being on hold for an hour listening to the same clasical song on repeat. No one responds to emails.
Seems very complicated to use, read, and understand. Need to simplify things for easier use like being able to make notes when changinging duty status isnstead of having a separate button to change status with notes. Also when doing a pretrip (DVIR) being able to enter the information in about both truck and trailer instead of having to do 2 separate DVIRs. And showing hours gaining back at mid-night.
Absolutely horrible company. Good luck trying to get out of there. I've been trying since December. They've stolen thousands of dollars out of my account since then. Then they send an email saying I'm not entitled to a refund. I'm at the point of calling my bank to report fraud, because they can't seem to understand that I wanted this canceled for six months now. Plus, after they just randomly stole $250, it sent that account into negative and received overdraft fees.
Updated review coincides with others I'm reading. After the last update, the app often switches driver into unassigned driving. Very frustrating. Customer support has been notified and the issue was escalated to tier 2 support. Still waiting for a soluton. For months, I've had to spend time re-signing logs that had already been signed. Unsure why they are becoming unsigned. Prior to the previous update, I would have given this app 4 stars.
New updates seem to always have a glitch. Update: The App. Has actually gotten worse!! When functioning properly, it's great which is about 10% of the time. Then the company will send out another update and the app will not record your movement, connect to the vehicle and so on. This is a paid for service and either myself or my drivers are having to call constantly to try and get help to fix the problem which is not acceptable as we have work to do and don't have the time to deal with this.
When are we going to get the option of removing all of the icons that are not used on home/map view? They take up a lot of screen real-estate. 4/16/22 It's been fair for awhile but now over the last two days it's starting up that falsification of log entries again. Customer service does not exist. Updates and reinstalls do zero. Time to move on to a better product.
It stop giving the split sleeper option and extending the 14 hour clock for the 2 to 3 hour break. Also it keeps saying unassigned driving even though it has been OK for miles. Will also say unassigned driving even though i been off duty and in the sleeper for hours Since I have done the update the app keeps disconnecting from the Bluetooth every time I get a call or text and that shows up as unassigned driving. I have to go to the main screen of the app so it will reconnect with the Bluetooth
The latest update is not helping at all. ELD certification is for Canada, that requires the driver unable to change drive line. You said so in your email. With all the glitches that happen when things move, the technology is simply not that reliable to make it uneditable. Why not make that standard only for those accounts that uses the Canadian HOS?
Regarding the app only without connection to an ELD, generally works well and is easy to use, BUT the app uses GPS to switch between on duty and driving modes. This causes problems when riding with a co-driver as it keeps trying to move you from on duty to driving. Also I frequently have problems where the app loses a signal while I am driving and logs me from driving to on duty. It's a huge pain to look at the app while driving only to find it shows you on duty.
I have been using Bigroad since Elog has been forced on small Operators, didn't mind it so much. But now evertime we get an update there's issues on the logs. Very frustrating . Definitely doesn't deserve 4stars.
The new version with 5g was installed 3 weeks ago and hasn't worked since install, really frustrating since the older version had its issues also. My opinion not worth the money or trouble. Update from last statement, going on 3 months now and elog still not working and not sure if technical support is even alive much less working on anything.
Update- app keeps switching me from PC to driving. Big problem now that FMCSA does not allow driving mode edits---- Thank you for correcting these incredibly frustrating issues! I just updated app on tablet and restarted, it fixed my current day which had an incorrect driving after 8hr violation. Bigroad has been great to use since forced to get ELD. Man, its sure easy to take for granted till it no worky
Have had Big Road for over two years. It is unusable after the most recent update. Have spent over 6 hours of my time trying to get help. They can't help because their ELD software is non functional and they know it. They just give you the run around on the phone with an off shore Middle Eastern customer service department till you give up. They are just trying to buy time hoping they can get their POS ELD APP to start working. This is a recurring theme for BIg Road ELD!! For years!!
The BigRoad was doing fine until the recent update... every since then, the app fails to auto change to driving. After manually changing, it occasionally kicks back to ON for 1 second. or changes from ON to DRIVE for 1 second and then back..... revert back 90 days and leave it alone. keeps kicking to on duty. also we just got a big FU by loosing the ability to adjust the on duty and personal driving whilt the app forves us into on duty only to force that all unasdigned be DRIVING. FU BRT!
This has got to be the most upsetting system I have used,Dashlinks are not reliable when it losses connection. I'm on my third Dashlink and it stopped working two days ago. I send an email and all I get is a case number in return. If I call for help I can't understand what the person is saying. You spent I would say a lot of money getting an Ice Road truck driver to indore your system instead of fixing the issues.
