The App is simple but it gets the job done. I've just bought the premium version to have the signal sounds. Some suggestions for the developers: It would really great to have a zoom option, without it, it is not easy, sometime, to see the map and if I zoom manually the app stops to follow my position. Another great thing to have would be a timer, to see how long you have been cycling.
Simple and functional app that does exactly what is needed: show the route. Its only huge shortcoming is the usage of Google Maps (I guess): they are almost useless for off-road MTB rides. The low contrast and the lack of the vast majority of off-road paths sometimes make it really difficult to follow the preloaded route. If the app would use OpenStreetMaps it would deserve a 5 star rating.
This app is sadly nowhere near aa good in Android version compared to the IOS version. In the latter, the route line to follow is really big and bright red, making it so easy to follow when cycling. The Android version has the tiniest thin line, which is virtually impossible to follow when cycling. Sad they couldn't make them the same.
This is a really solid GPX cycling navigation app. I've been using it for years, it is easy to load routes from a variety of websites (Ride With GPS, Strava etc), or direct, and have good clear navigation and alerting. I've tried a number of similar apps, but this is by far the best that I've used - I paid for the upgrade and am very happy to do so.
UPDATE: this has been a problem since last year, and they still haven't addressed it. The app won't close after riding a route. The only way to get it to close is to go into app settings and force it to stop, or reboot the phone. I am downgrading my review to 1 star until they fix that problem.
We as family like the simplicity of the App. However on Android 10 doesn't link gpx file to the App. Also I am lacking see see the actually bicycle/walking crosspoints you find along a route you imported as gpx route. Bikegpx numbers them 1,2,3,4... instead of showing the actual crosspoint number. I.e. OSMAND shows that info, but that app is very powerful but also more complicated for simple bicycle/walking tours.
Brilliant app, perfect for navigating a route. Simple and easy to use. Don't forget to 'pause ride' when finished to stop the process running (otherwise the app still shows in the notification menu - on android anyway).
The app is ok but could be so much more. The route is indicated by a very thin line, distances are off and you can't even close it without going in your phone settings and forcing it.
I used it for our safety vehicle in Melaka during bicycle ride. However I realised it keeps running in background and there is no way to terminate it other than rebooting the phone. Please give an option to exit the app. Also ability to load a route from sdcard. Thank you. Wonderful app.
Good start but needs improvement. Specially the route and street names are very hard to see with the phone mounted on the handlebars. I've increased the phone font size but the app ignores the default font size.
Promising app but has serious security issue. Login requires only email address so anyone can read your routes. The "start ride/pause ride" button seems to work inconsistent when app has been in background.
Great app and love the way it works with website and bar codes etc. Very annoying that I have to go into app settings to stop it running after use. Would also be nice if it had a speedometer
This app works, and is quite good, but often a nuisance as it doesn't update realtime so if the route is new to you then you will take wrong turns at times if you're going at quite a bit of speed.
Great gpx driven routes which are easy to upload. Unfortunately the app refused to close. Very frustrating.
Really cool how it can grab the routes off strava and garmin. I struggle to see the line sometimes though when it's mounted to my handlebars, would be great if I could increase the thickness of the red line, to make it more obvious at a glance.
Easy to use. Is there any way one can share the downloaded .gpx file? I can't seem to find anything on the phones storage. I bought the full version. Only email no password required? The author is a communist.
Useless, unable to import .gpx files from the phone itself (how is this not a core feature?) URL doesn't work since files are zipped.
Congratulations on your app "BikeGPX". I have only recently stumbled across it but I've been very impressed with it's functions and simplicity.
It's a simple app. But sometimes it crashes within a minute after we select a route and start riding. Is this a known issue?
Seems to be no way to exit route-in-progress. Had to reset phone.
Good app. However it will be better if the width of route is thicker and adding some options to change color
Fantastic, simple and intuitive. Great job! I use this when I'm riding new gravel routes :)
Hi. The app look great but when press start riding the app crashes. Please help me to fix it
Clean, uncomplicated design. Perfectly suited for its purpose. Thanks!
Good potential but some shortcomings. The good: simple and straight forward. 3D navigation view. Large speed display. The bad: Really thin, almost invisible, line indicating the route. Poor choice for the position cursor (small and "water" blue arrow). A few times I thought it was part of a lake or river. Does not indicate the true current distance (I do not follow exactly the loaded road). Cannot end the ride (no finish button). Keeping it for now but not paying extra in this state.
