But in reality they are watching celebrities and Hollywood movies everyday, and they are the REAL problem of "body shaming" and loss of self-respect in the young population. This app has nothing to do with it, they are just helping people achieve what they want to look like, which is what they see on tv, Facebook, instagram, magazines, etc. Don't blame the app(which helps poor girls who are ashamed because of society), blame the real problem.
These reviews are for how good the app works but if some people wanna go there then my opinion is if some people have self esteem issues , which is unfortunate , but no one's body is perfect. But you can have a fit body its called working out n eating right. Its hard work but what isnt.
I used a very basic picture and I'm not sure how anyone can feel body shamed. Lengthening legs made them blurry and it appeared to lengthen from the knees down giving me the longest calves ever. There is no middle ground. Your head or shrunken man head. I looked liked I was trying to make a joke picture? Weird! The app I do use is just if there's hair out of place not major changes. This certainly will not replace what I currently have
It lowers the quality of my photos... They aren't easy to look at without mentally trying to make the image clear and crisp again. It's annoying.. Other than that works fine for the little tweaks I may need
For all those haters out there, USE IT AS A JOKE! I was editting random downloads on my phone (fandom shiz, cats, etc.) and decided to use it like a regular photo editer. I intensified an overjoyed cat's eyes, I even messed around with J2. In all honest, I use it for humor. :3
I know his may seem harsh but as a teenage girl myself I see daily how this affects girls self-esteem. I have friends who use apps like this because they think it makes them more desirable, but I think that they shouldn't need to. People should feel comfortable in their skin or do something positive to change it, rather than pretending to be someone they want to be. Just how I see it.
Reviewing it on solely what the app says it does, it works fine without making it obviously edited. I tried to to show a representation on how social media is not always true and how even the average person in Instagram can be "perfect" in less than 3 minutes. So the app works wonderfully. I personally am uninstalling it just for the reason that it would mess with my mentality and how I view myself, but if I were a photographer or using the app to see what I'd look like if I was slimmer, I'd keep it. For those of you eating the app based off your ideas and beliefs, it's like downloading the Bible app and rating it based on the fact that you're a die hard anti-religious atheist.
It's not right how a women should be able to edit her body off an app just to impress other people. You should be YOURSELF. Not what over people want you to look like. You are beautiful as you are you don't need some app to tell you. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL FOR WHO YOU ARE
I can't believe the girls on here giving this app a bad rating because they are self conscious that they're too fat. New flash ladies- sometimes, PEOPLE ARE FAT. And they should be ashamed. The whole "fat pride" thing is just another made up thing so obese people feel better about themselves. If someone has an eating disorder, its not over apps like this.
It was working at first and then every time I try it it blurs my pictures. I even tried it to uninstall and install again. But nothing changed.
Never spent so much time reading reviews. Both sides have valid points. Young girls, the real secret is to realize that everywhere you go, for the rest of your life, you will be shamed by many, praised by few, and judged by all. At times you put up to high where all you have is down, put down so low you have to dig up to solid ground. To some you're too much and to the rest not enough. Love yourself & others will too. Or not... who cares?
You can still love your body and use this app. Stop telling people what to do, you sound annoying. If I want to use the app then I will. Just because you THINK people use it thanks to insecurities doesn't mean people REALLY ARE insecure. Mind your own business.
Legitly stupd ap waste of time . just gives people another way to not appear how they really look haha
The app seems to do what it says it does. But frankly, I'm tired of the arguing here and the misuse of sociopolitical terms. First of all, the word "feminist" is tossed around incorrectly as a word to describe a self-entitled or overly extreme liberal woman. In reality, a feminist is a woman who is smart enough, ambitious enough, and motivated enough to choose equality, independance, and career over traditional chivarly and male-presided family. They want an egalitarian society, not a gyneocracy. Get your terms and concepts straight before you further malign a noble cause. Second, this isn't body shaming. If body shaming really had a major impact, youse see alot more girls deliberately going out of their way to not get fat, doing research on why they have weight oroblems in the first place. Considering most give up or never start this, you are blowing the intent and effect of this app way out of proportion. Third, it is not healthy to be underweight nor overweight. If your metabolism is fast, such that you can't gain weight, then you need to eat more and more often. If your metabolism is slow such that you can't lose weight, then you need to eat less since your body stores food longer and want your body to consume the stored fat. Both underweight or overweight people are at increased health risk later in life. Neither are anything to be proud of. Only a moderate, healthy weight is worth aspiring to.
Nothing special not bad for minor photoshop. All the "body image " reviews need to get off their high horses.
The editing is good but it makes the pictures look super blurry. So basically it's pointless of an app unless they enhance the picture quality.
Stop. People should love them for who they are is bullshit. This ain't body shaming. Stop telling people what to do. Fat people should feel bad (if they are not having eating disorders and other diseases) about themselves. You can go and lose weight. This whole "love yourself for you are and you are gorgeous" is just made for fat people to make them feel ok about themselves.
It seemed like it was going to work! The body shapes looked very natural. Only thing wrong was when it was time to save my picture it became so blurry and pixelated you could barely see it! Fix that problem and I'll definitely re-download!
This is the best app ever i love it and i can't find similar app with this power so please keep up the good work 😍😘
Everytime I load a photo to edit, it goes from the original quality to bad quality, I've even changed the size of my photos but it doesn't work please fix it
It didn't do nothing at all it just kept crashing every time I opened the app
I only installed to complain this is disgusting to know that these ppl think women need this honestly no respect for girls at all
This app is perfect, if you want to easily lower peoples self esteem! I also really like the fact, that this app is from three years and up, so that everyone can get into self hatred, as soon as possible! On a serious not though, why does this app even exist? Who do you think you're helping? The only thing you're doing, is making beauty standards even higher. And if there's one thing the world doesn't need, it's higher beauty standards. Honestly, this app shouldn't exist.
I'll avoid the ethical debate of the app review. Americans are self-righteously opinionated enough - technically, it's difficult to work with. Especially the enlarge/reduce circles. And, as others have said, reduces the image quality. And if I remember correctly, won't save to ext. SD card.
Very professional. Doesn't alter your surroundings when you use it so it's undetectable that you altered your photo.
It's not supposed to be for body shaming, a lot of girls are just using it to see what they would look like thinner so they can achieve their goals in a HEALTHY way. Not all thin people are anorexic they just have a healthy lifestyle. I'm not thin I'm a bit chubby but I love my body and you should too. Everyone is beautiful in their own way and you should never try to be anyone else.
