Confusing. Crashes at the later stage of a booking and no record on the app of a booking - although it did indicate a booking was completed. Screen asks if I want to continue making a booking when I go back to the app. I ended up double booking and cancelling one based on the email acknowledgements. Also, no record of rewards from previous visits.
Not very reliable. Always had problems and errors when trying to pay. The last time it charged me an incorrect amount to my card (basically ignored the bills credit applied) and 2 separate receipts emailed were completely different for the same meal, one of which didn't even add up correctly!
Told me I had to upgrade the app and took me to the Play store. There wasnt an option to upgrade within the play store though. Uninstalled the old app and installed the new one. Cant check in to my local Bills. Consistently get an "invalid token" error instead of the check-in code. Not a good experience so far.
Since the recent update there are a number of issues with the app, many critical: 1) prices and values are all in dollars (seems fixed?!) 2) every time i login in i have to go through an arduous login procedure 3) the staff seem as confused as me when trying to find/use rewards 4) when i tried to use my rewards (over £25), they were deducted from the total on receipts, however the full value of the receipt was taken from my card 5) i didn't receive any reward points for my meal
The app redeemed my bank of bills balance at checkout but still charged my card the full amount. The app is unreliable and often difficult for staff to apply the VIP reward. I have used the app for a while as the rewards are good but this latest bug has led me to uninstall the app.
Every time I've used this app at Bill's there has either been an issue with it, or staff are unsure about how to process transactions with it. I hear it's now being discontinued in early December 2018 which is a shame as the idea was sound, just horrifically poor execution by Bill's restaurant's
Was unable to redeem a reward as the app kept crashing. The staff had to remove the reward manually from the bill. Not very intuitive and doesn't tell you that you need to add a payment card before you try to pay.
App is rubbish. Cannot book table, it just freezes and if you get to accepting terms and conditions page, freezes again. Tried creating profile and makes no difference. What is the point of a restaurant app if you cannot book a table?
Not fit for purpose. The restaurant closest to me is not even listed rendering the app completely useless. Seriously incompetent and a terrible reflection upon the company. I enjoy the food and the service at the restaurants but clearly back office IT is something of a joke, and judging from most of the reviews is highly frustrating. It's nearly 2020 and yet a basic and improbable error is allowed to pass through the QA process. Whoever is responsible for this is having a laugh at your expense!
Never had an issue with this app. Latest update lost my log in, previous points etc. Uninstalling as I won't be eating at my local bills again as experience was really poor, so no need for rewards.
Update : Now working much better. Worked OK until latest upgrade now tells me my version is no longer supported but Play Store options are uninstall or open, not update. Try open, guess what, my version no longer supported. Glad I used my rewards recently. Not many apps have more 1 star reviews than 5 stars. Uninstalled, installed, now it won't even start.
I'm waiting at the restruant as this is typed so i can use my rewards only for me to have to sign in via text. And it doesn't seem to want to send me a text. Its taken the entire time to fix while I've been here.
Utterly Useless! I can't login to my account! Even with password reminders and pin code recovery. Total Rubbish! And now it requires SMS authentication which doesn't work! Seriously! Fix this!
Last version wouldn't connect to server so I couldn't use my rewards, now the update is installed the app doesn't even start. So for me rubbish.
The app won't open saying it requires an update, but there is no update to be had. Now i;ve reinstalled it, it fails to open at all.
loaded the app ok. first time I try to use it to book a table, it returns an error and won't let me. Pretty fundamental failure for a restaurant app? Do better please.
Won't even let me past the 'register' page. Keeps stating 'user unknown'. Well duh, unless you let me register, that's obvious. Sort out the bugs!
Simply doesn't work, can't book a table, keeps saying "Oops something went wrong, please try again" Impossible to use.
Can't download menus, says permissions need to be granted. Access to storage is not found in app settings however.
Great food but too expensive to visit often.
Tried to book a table 5 times at Bills Wimbledon and failed. Very slow. Doesn't work for me.
Doesn't start properly and gets stuck on phone number authentication process.

good idea, doesn't work. Tried to pay via the app, wouldn't check out. It simply had a small loading symbol before going back to "slide to checkout". Staff didn't seem to really understand the app either. Ended up being a rather stressful process (for us and our poor waitress), where we ended up paying normally with no points anyway due to the broken checkout feature and lack of staff training.
