Bing is cluttered and complicated. The settings are spread out over the different sections, instead of being in one place. The "tab settings" menu is bugged. The search results are okay, but could provide more content. Having the news, search, and browser all in one place is too much. I don't want to have to dig through the news just to search for a simple question everytime.
MS, if you want to compete with Google, you need to ACT like Google. Eg. Make your widgets smaller (5x2 combo is a GREAT idea but its more like 5x3), and a weather icon and notification on the device. I dont care how many Rewards points you offer, if it's not convenient, the app doesnt deserve my device's memory. And right now? Bing is most definitely NOT convenient. Time will tell whether or not this remains installed. 🤷♀️
Most of the app is pretty responsive and not too slow except for Microsoft Rewards. I always have the worst experience with Rewards not allowing me to click any of the options in many of the daily tasks, forcing me to either exit the app completely or click the Rewards tab over and over again before the option is clicked. Very unresponsive and annoying. The daily 100 search points doesn't always work as well, also forcing me to redo my searches again, which is extremely frustrating to deal with.
the built in "browser" app on my phone gave me lots of trouble so, I've stopped the app, deleted the memory eating updates(& weather app) & switched to just using the Bing search app. It simplifies my online activity, saves memory & I can use the rewards to earn Microsoft credit for my gaming!
Broken server connection to Microsoft again..app is easy to use, has a nice & fluent design showing news and related information. Searching is perfect as it is. Getting to the rewards & Microsoft account is really quick. Bookmarks & favorites from the Edge browser should be able to sync.
App is laggy, signs me out for no reason, is supposed to prompt me everyday but it doesn't, crashes and restarts multiple times up when it does work, I enjoy it and the rewards points. The surveys and activities are usually fun and enjoyable and educational.
Trash, keeps crashing and freezing and becoming non-responsive, new coin animation when reward points are earned covers keyboard. Which is likely the problem. Either way it needs to be fixed, it was fine before.
decent, but could do with some user friendly improvements. options to add extensions and better control of tab openings would make this as good as the more used browsers. I use this to gain Microsoft reward points, so, would've liked it to be my primary browser. Unfortunately it lacks in the areas mentioned above.
Every 4th 'news' article is a new ad for useless things. Some of the articles repeat showing up after a few months, and a lot of them are not even news. Huge waste of time on this app to get maybe one or two useful articles. 2 stars because it's not as terrible as it could be for a Microsoft app.
Trying to build my daily streak is continuously thwarted by the poll that resets at seemingly random times per day and my daily progress just suddenly dropping to 1. I gave 2 stars because the search works, but my annoyance level would definitely give it a 1. Edit:dropped score to 1 star. The reason; my daily streak is broken due to one of the actions being to download andnjnatall the app to finish the daily activities...the same app I'm ALREADY USING. This app is annoying.
In general I like the app, I prefer to use it as it reminds me to go on Rewards. However, there have been issues, quite a few times I've had my Rewards reset even though I was doing them daily. The other annoyance is the daily homescreen wallpaper doesn't match what is on Bing
Very broken. When the application opens new tabs, the tabs are treated as opening other apps and i have to close them like so because just closing the tab in the app doesnt resolve it. As compared to other browsers, this is the slowest. Only downloaded for easier microsoft rewards, still hardly feels worth it.
Well seeing the point of a search engine is to search the web it'd be very much appreciated if I could hide news content from the homepage like in desktop Bing. Please give users the option to hide news content. I can easily tap the news icon for news or open the Microsoft Start app for news. Why would I see news and articles while searching the web for something? It's highly distracting. Also, neither the widget nor app shows my recent searches like the Google app. Only shows trending searches
I've always loved Bing with Microsoft points to use for different things, great security with my security and the scenes are beautiful and some I can say I don't like and I never see any like them again. It's great, I search and find everything I need.
2 updates and still no fix to the inability to maximize videos. Pretty much unusable. Going to go check out alternatives. Sure is a good time to be in comp with microsoft. Update: maximize still doesnt work and in the bing app the button is gone. Must be on purpose. Must be some airhead new manager that just has to touch things. Ill just uninstall and use google.
I can't do a thing on the app, it just keeps saying "something went wrong! Contact Microsoft support". Literally no information to the error message for me to put into a report form that it wants me to fill out for some reason? What a joke of an application, no wonder everyone uses Google. I was just trying to get xbox reward points, but this isn't worth the migraine at all.
A few months ago videos fromall sites, not just YouTube stopped going full screen. One of the Bing app updates apparently screwed this up. The most recent update did not fix it. There are other people complaining about this issue as well. Please fix
Ok. Not the most stable. Pretty much the same as usung googgle. Says bing but need to change search engine in your phone anyways. Using it but havent come across anything that makes it stand out. Less ads is nice though.
The newest update is really bad. Why does it constantly make new instances when you create a new tab? It crashes if you do rewards too quickly as well. It was fine before this change.
In portrait mode the search bar is unresponsive when tapping on it to enter text. You need to lower it. Too many phones rely on that little bit of real estate up top. Hell, part of its blocked because I have a lens there. Poor form. Pixel 4a
I love everything about this website! update: Since the last update every time I try to search it tells me I'm offline. UPDATED 4-26-22: I have upped the app to 5 stars because Microsoft has worked hard since 2019. I run into glitches every now and then but it's quickly fixed. I love it now!
Ever since I did an update, I have not been able to watch videos full screen. When I am wanting to read something, it closes and I need to reopen and try to find what I was reading and continue reading until it closes again and the cycle keeps going.. Please fix this.
App no longer works unless I am connected to WiFi for the past two weeks. Data saver is not on. No settings were changed. This is the only app to have started doing this. All other apps work as usual on ATT network.
I love Bing. The search results are even more comprehensive, visually appealing, and overall impressive. I especially love Rewards and Give with Bing. Thank you for making it possible to easily donate to so many organizations simply by searching and taking fun quizzes. Much respect.
Well, I hate ads. I get enough of them already from other apps. I definitely like most of the features and the ads are not that disruptive. They play all the time in a section of the app, which is cool, sort of. Better than having your entire screen switched to a long or short ad, then back to the app. Also the ads don't make you think that you have to click on it or, do it by mistake, like non Microsoft apps. Cool Design. I use this app on occasion, like when my other Browsers, Malfunctions.👍
