I've had to downgrade this as I'm starting to have serious issues with the names, changes to the names and some new names that should exist but don't. This is causing frustration and confusion and just when I thought id found a reliable scorce to log in my sightings! Otherwise its simple enough to use and navigate, but can prove a little technical to the unwary. An excellent way of keeping all those important sightings (or would be if it wasn't for the name issue) I would have recommended this.

I love this app. I only wish I had more time to go bird watching so I could use it more. There is a small learning curve but once you have the basics down it is pretty easy to use. I haven't even begun to customize it to the perfect record keeping log. I recommend that anyone thinking about downloading the app to not hesitate and do so. If it seems slightly confusing at first just keep trying because once you are used to it you will be happy you stuck with it.

Very comprehensive global lists and taxonomies, but very cumbersome interface and (most importantly) very unstable. After one hour of use, Bird Journal crashed five times on my Galaxy S8 with more than enough memory available and few other apps running. Am uninstalling.

Does what it says. I do think the ios version is more polished but have been using the app now on both apple and android platforms for 3 years and very happy. Quick and easy to add your sightings and the accompanying website has some decent reports to look at your data.

I've only just started using Bird Journal, so I'm learning. My bird lists are usually on scraps of paper, so this is better! I'm looking for a help section because I tend to start looking for an answer in the middle of an entry. For example What does Highlight mean? Also is there a way to search for a bird's name by its general name first, rather that the specific name first? I think of those names as last and first names.

My Dad uses this app on his phone so I decided to use it too except on my tablet. However, my Dad's app tells him when birds are "year firsts" or "lifers" whereas mine doesn't. Any reason why this is the case? Otherwise really happy with the app.

Doesnt seem to work on my galaxy tab S3 when I record a species and save it doesnt do so on records and wont let me put times dates etc so waste of a potentially good app....

Getting more fluent at using this app and the more I use it the more I like it. Good record keeping tool but I cannot find a way to export the records.

Was more than happy with until I changed my phone and now I can't get past entering the site name. UPDATE bug has now been fixed and I'm happy again

Makes it to complicated to just select a bird. Looking for something simple that works.
