The service itself is great, but the app and the customer support are very bad. I recently had my phone stolen, the company wouldn't help me cancel the sim, which is very dangerous as thieves could use the phone to gain access to important websites. They just kept telling me to find another phone to install the app on, which shouldn't be priority! And no emergency number to ring to notify lost/stolen sim, again, really dangerous
Anything after the 4G data you bought is basically useless, you can't even get into their app to purchase data in urban area, no connection at certain mtr station...Always crashes for no reason, have trouble connecting, not the most stable mobile service I've experienced. Updates too regularly, normally its a good thing but this is just annoying and it eats up your data.
While the app shows a lot more comprehensive information than any other HK network provider, it still has a few issues. It's very frustrating it can save your credit card for monthly payments, but not for risking packages. You need to put the details every single time.
Birdie Mobile is good, especially Data P2P. BUT, Birdie Mobile App is bad. On my mobile, the App requested that I should get it updated at Play Store. Then I went to Play Store, and a message "Your device isn't compatible with this version". Then I tried to install the App with my older mobile, but that failed. The same message appeared. Now I have to go to my friend's mobile to login the App. I hope that the "old version" that is already installed on my mobile can function, and never force users to update, because updating is NOT always possible.
The app is fine, you can pay bills on it. only.problem is they update the app nearly every month and there is a setting in their app that will not allow you to open it without updating. Incredibly annoying. Never had app updates like this before.
I do not like that the app requires frequent updates that are huge in file size. Otherwise, it is a good mobile network service.
Horrible experience... Left HK 2 months ago and it automatic charge my credit card till next month... Just becoz I deleted the app before i got on the place. There is no customer service at all. Do not use this service !
Every time i switch app to another screen i have to start all over again. Very stupid and annoying. This happen to no other apps.
It feels like I have to update everytime I open the app since i dont use it often......probably multiple times in a month and you're screwed if your internet data is slow it just wont let you open
Slow loading and always forces the user to update the app. There is no reason why I cannot use the old version of the app, please ask your developers to stop forcing people to update every time.
81 MB for an app which shows your monthly bill. So if you have a 1 GB plan, 8% of your data is consumed by just installing the billing app! I checked other apps' sizes and Skype is 19 MB, Uber is 30 MB, and Excel is 69 MB. Why on earth is this app with 1/10th the functionality of these apps 81 Mb?!
When the app has an update available, it won't let you use it unless you update it, if you're on mobile data you're basically screwed.
problems when both activating and terminating account. very slow response if send message to them as instructed by the app
Majority of user only want basic function. Check, split usage and pay bills. Please do not require update to work.
Updating the app too often, If I'm trying to purchase more data, the last thing I need is to download updates. AT LEAST DON'T MAKE THD UPDATES IMMEDIATELY MANDATORY! YET AGAIN UPDATES ...USLESS AND UNWORKABLE
I cannot understand why the app needs to update again and again. And you are not able to open the app if you have an old version which is nothing special even you updated
Good, however since it is a monthly allotment of data it would be great to know each days usage and not just the total remaining or at least the past 5 to 7 days.
No new function but forced to update. Unreasonable app update size (over 80MB). Please give us a stable and small good app for manage account and bill payment only.
The last update is 91 mb. Wasted 81mb on a forced update, while it is counted in data plan if you are not using WiFi.
The app keeps crashing when loading to the main page. Reinstalling the app did not solve the issue.
Absolutely the best experience I had on my Telco service in HK, humanizing, fun and I won't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Who want their hands tied with meaningleas contracts!?

Great phone plan. Terrible app. Always requires updating, full of bugs, frustrating to use. I've endured it for a long time as the mobile plan is so good.
