The core functionality is amazing, just rough around the edges in overall design: hard to go from Analyze back to capturing more new sounds and often seems to break inside when you do ie saying "no idea" on easy songs. But it is scary accurate sometimes, I like that it gives a confidence rating. I think once I tested whether it has nighttime birds' sings and it seemed not to.
I'm sooooo sad!π App doesn't work anymore after last update.π Before that, it WAS my FAVORITE bird sounds ID. l was able to lD many bird songs & calls that have puzzled me for 19 years! If you can hear but never get a good visual lD on an elusuve bird, this app is for you! Although l often have background noise from traffic, l've still been able to lD birds I can't see! You have to try it! Best of all--NO ADS! THANX so much for making this app!!!πππ
App is pretty good overall. It struggles to connect to the server when I'm out in the woods. Not a huge deal as I can save observations for later. My biggest issue is that I can't playback any observations to help learn bird calls.
I absolutely love this app. It works very well over the past few years I've used it. The ability to save observations offline is great, and the links provided after identification are very useful.
I love using this app but it falls short in one area - the ability to attach a name to a sound which the system does not identify but you have id'd visually. Also no way to correct close misses.
Absolutely love the idea but in Easter Europe it doesn't recognize birds 90% of the time. Even with very distinct songs. Could have a more intuitive UI but overall I really hope this app develops further π§‘π¦
This app is incredibly cool. Downloaded it after hearing a bird call I couldn't recognize in our backyard, and now I use it all the time. I live in Canada and was slightly worried about how accurate it might be because of that, but that's never been a problem.
There aren't enough stars for this app. It enriches my life. But having a birdsong id to hand as I walk outdoors, I am able to get properly start learning to recognise their songs for myself. Worth having a smartphone just to have this app.
Promptly helped me ID the bird that's been singing outside my window in the middle of the night for the past week. Not complaining about it, was just curious who the little fellow was. (A northern mockingbird.) Really simple and easy to use app.
Fantastic app! I use it almost every day I'm outside! It helps me learn bird calls. I use it to help identify the birds I'm hearing and which bird to look for when I'm birding. Love it.
Nothing that you don't need is in this app; everything that you need to find birds is here. It let's you record the sound and then help you know the bird. Furthermore, it lets you explore the birds in your area.
Great app! Works well for me. It would be nice to backup & import your data, or export a report with all spotted birds!
I have had this app for over a year and not once has it asked for my review. That said, it has helped to identify so many unknown birds and led to a greater knowledge of bird species. I would highly recommend this app.
This app has been nothing short of magic for me! Since I first installed it, I've regularly used it to identify birds and its kind of a hobby now. Great app! Kudos to the developers!
Unbelievably accurate. Heard a bird that I didn't recognize. The app told me it was a blue jay. Sounded nothing like a blue jay so I assumed it was wrong, then out started making the normal blue jay squawk... Turns out it was an alternative call for the bluejay. Whomever isn't giving this app 5 stars had way too high expectations or is just a miserable person.
This app is good. Easy to use, helps more people learn love birding. Im typical Aspie, born birder w God given eye but hopeless, turrible ear abilities, so I started using app just to ID, but surprised begun learning bird by ear that I never thought I could.

Wonderful app. Hear loads of lovely songs and just assumed they were all Robins or blackbirds, but apparently not!
This is one of my favorite apps it is absolutely perfect. It has so many great features. Check out the tutorial so you can see everything it does. Record and identify birds with links to excellent informational sites. It's simple to record and submit a bird call and song. It automatically saves your searches for you to refer back to later. Peruse the menu for yourself. There's also a list of birds in your area. A must-have for any bird nerd.
Very interesting app, easy to use. I am not a professional but the results I've obtained were accurate. The possibility to get info about birds in your perimeter based on your gps position is nice. Maybe adding the possibility to select a different position on the map would be a nice addition. Direct access to Wikipedia, Macaulay library and eBird once a bird has been identified, makes this app a great tool to anyone interested in getting to know about different species that lives around you.
