It seems like this app is no longer being supported, as the last update was 2015. I just got a new phone and I'm tired of the constant and intrusive pop ups saying the app is for an older version of Android. Email to the developer is ignored.

Updated review to 5 stars because the app really is great, just still some minor bugs. Crashes when trying to enter multiple items to lists. Crashes when scrolling quickly on Samsung S7. When adding multiple items (using edit mode) and you don't hit Done, if it crashes, all entries lost. Scrolling works well on Pixel 2 XL.

Great concept and memberships offer useful tools, but very glitchy. -Occasionally in Browse Nearby, a species appears, but when I go to the map, there are no pins for that species within 500 miles. -Sometimes House Sparrow will show up on needs list, many with many duplicate photos. -Often the app will say that more species are available with subscriptions, which I pay for. The purchased tab is blank despite having paid for and used the subscription. Others mention similar complaints.

Updated 12/12...well the app is apparently not integrated with payment on the birdseyebirding website. Still no emails returned. Expensive and doesn't work. Updated 12/1. Alerts loading and syncing with ebird list.....Has not loaded alerts for two weeks. Does not sync with ebird. Sent several emails with no response.

So frustrated at this at. It was working so well and was so useful but it appears that the developer is no longer maintaining the app. For $30/yr i would expect functionality to remain up-to-date. They even know this because they have a new warning that this app was developed for an older version of Android. I can't even get logged in any longer even after resetting my password. They will not reply to my open ticket either. Google needs to consider pulling this from the app store.

Good idea when it works, but lately it does not work. Very, very slow and no red pins regarding recent sightings from eBird. I paid for the North America version, How to contact customer service? Can't find it on their web page..

I wish I could sort by region (state, county, etc) or year, but this works great for finding very nearby lifers!

Improprerly grouped on Gstore? This app is for posting lists of birds spotted and already known, rather than assisting user with inentifying birds. A login is required. Should likely not be listed as an app which assists in Identifying birds.

This app crashes every time I open the map to see nearby birds. Figure that out and it could be a great tool for birding.

Tried to sign up for paid and just keep getting error messages. Without subscription, not very useful.

Great reference piece but don't expect to save anything, it's very glitchy. Inferior app all-around.

I love this app for finding birds I've never seen before in the US. I've also used it to ID birds in Kenya, Uganda and Colombia. Looking forward to using it in Ecuador next month.

After installing it I get a message saying it is for older version Androids. I use a Samsung 9 when will the update be, or how do I find an update?

Uses free public data gathered by volunteers and charges you $30 A YEAR to access it. Very bad morals at this company!

This is a great app that can find birds very easily, and has a life list that is a little complicated, but it has a search tool for it so you can quickly check it off on your life list. It also has a pretty good bird ID tool to help identify what you see. You do need to pay to see more different birds on the maps though. It is an super awesome app.

I don't know what has changed except that it is working now. Initially it simply didn't work and I was very disappointed. I came back intending to get more specifics for George who kindly offered to help me. Instead I'm reporting that it's working well. The only glitch I found was needing to reload the rare bird list after following one bird to a map and then trying to return to the list. It goes back so far and then gives you blank info. A simple return to the home page gets it going again. Happy.

Was working with ebird but has stopped. Tried Uninstall then reinstall. Does not work at all now. It won't even reach support.

would be nice to finally see all features of apple version, especially those found in membership packages that cost money.

Works great in the field with or without cell service if you load content to your phone before going out. Nice opportunity to contribute photos to the app via the website. Friendly and helpful technical support if needed.
