Very slow status checking. For the price of the device itself (which is simple and cheap hardware) I would expect better software, not this messy and old looking app and even worse portal. It is not possible to create e.g. widget for quick action in case you would like to open the gate in advance while driving a car and have no time to go inside the app and wait until it is finally ready to send a command. IFTTT is not supported. Web server on gateway with network settings is not secured at all.
Gateway response is way too slow. Seems like the device goes into some kind of sleep mode. If I check the status of the garage port after a while it takes a long time to respond. Was expecting more since the Bisecur Gateway is quite expensive.
The app is a little clunky & slow if I'm honest, but does work very well. I would love to know if there's ever going to be smart home integration with Alexa, Google home or apples version..?
So utterly slow it makes the whole thing unusable. On 40/10 internet connected via ethernet it takes 4 minutes to open garage doors. And it's almost 2020 Hormann :(. We have 3 doors and 1 yard gate all by Hormann official techician couldn't add yard gates. And it doesn't work over web as apparently you are upgrading security on registration process. I am a sw developer and I can't tell you this is not how you do it. You don't kill the service for weeks for an upgrade. I am so disappointed.
Just about the WORST app I've ever used. If I hadn't bought the additional hardware I would have binned it. Poor design bad implementation; avoid.

Good app. Im happy with it but would be better with a widget what i can tap and my door would be closed or opened immediatelly (maybe after a question to confirm, just to make sure). You know, quite incincinient to wait several seconds. Other then, congrats on your nice and useful app!
I'm afraid I'm very disappointed with this yet again. It worked for a while which was great whilst it lasted but now it's no longer connected with the gateway and is failing to discover it anymore. I don't know if it is hardware related or whether it's the Android OS update again. Either way I tried contacting Hormann support via the email in the app only to discover it no longer exists. What is happening here? I tried to convince myself it was worth the money but I feel sadly mistaken and bitterly disappointed.
With the last update, the app works with current Android versions (7.x) and I'm a pretty happy user again. It took unusual long time before the app was updated to be compatible with the current Android version, which is quite critical for an app you may need to get in to your house or to access your car. Assuming this problem does not repeat, I recommend this solution. It is very handy to be able to unlock doors without being present :-)
I am quite disappointed. I expected, that something simple like opening of the gate or doors should be user friendly, but reality is totally different. I expected, that Android version of app will have WIDGETs, which you can program for to do some scenario which you can set-up and you can open gate by one simple click. Unfortunatelly you have to do a lot of clicks and wait seconds than you reach one magic button. PLEASE MAKE THE WIDGETS for ANDROID. Do you have a plan to make it? When? Thanks
Doesn't work with Android, all set up correctly, will not allow remote access cannot see devices. Useless. Works OK on my iPhone but not at all on any of my Samsung devices. EDIT: I have managed to get it to work but no thanks to the manual, needs better instructions in relation to adding users and authorising remote access.
This app formerly worked without any problems at all. After upgrading to android 7, still waiting for getting the car out of the garage 😂. How long time can it take to make the app android 7 compatible.
Desperately needs to be IFTTT compatible. Can be funny some times. Worked fine on 2 out of 3 devices. The 3rd device will only work while away from my home. But the other 2 work fine. Quick oeprations and the scenoirs are useful. But please iFTTT please!
Running latest version of android v7 on Nexus phone. Gateway green LED has a successful solid light but the app cannot find the gateway. Works fine on the Apple iPad app. Will be seeking a refund / tech support.
Under menu devices I can't add a device. I have no buttons or functionality under this menu. Older version works fine here. I have an android phone. UPDATE: I have found the problem. I have added the user to the device. Now it works.

Very slow app with a moldy UX. A device status is updated in several seconds via 100Mbps local network. Portal settings are not accepted at all. UX isn't intuitive. Once stuck, no way to find additional info how to resolve an issue. I expected much more from a leading vendor of expensive garage doors.
