I uploaded a video via the BitChute app after improvements in a recent update. I was also able to upload a few photos without issues. As of now, the main opportunity for betterment that I noticed has to do with full screen mode. The app's full screen mode seems to black out most of the phone screen while leaving the video at the same size or a very similar size and moves it to the top of the phone screen. Other than that, you're just picking at details/adding features! Keep it up!

I have come back to Bitchute after a few months away. It has gotten better but I'd like to make a couple of suggestions: - It would be great to be able to search other videos while having the current video still play. - A "loading" icon would be useful when hitting search as it lags and it's not clear if the search button was pressed. You guys are really onto something and this platform could take over YouTube, leaving them for dead BUT it needs to be improved. Good luck!

This App is they key to your expansion, Bitchute. But it's buggy. Login pages that appear, simply from going from the Home tab to the Subs tab, for instance, and then freezing at the touch of the submit field. I so want an alternative to ThemTube. I don't know what it would take, but you need to up your user-interface game. It's key. I really want you to succeed.

Bitchute is probably the best alternative for YouTube right now. The app works great and I enjoy the freedom the platform gives. It is however missing a few major key elements that a video sharing platform should have such as live streaming, and the search engine doesn't work super well. Its also not super user friendly, but that's not too much of a problem. Other than that it works great and I've had a good experience using it.

The app is very buggy on my tablet. Use their site instead. When I try to view categories like music, it just gives an endless list of artists instead of giving you the options to see popular or new videos submitted. This happens to all categories. I have to keep logging in because it logs me out. Pages get stuck. The app definitely has ways to go before being functional. Content is good, though! It's why I say use the site so you can see all content unhindered.

Constantly having to login. And after the first 5 or 6 times of logging in, it stopped letting me. Considering this is the only way to watch many streams, I'm very dissappointed in the quality of the app. The user interface is way bizarre. Hard to find anything, even with a search function. It goes full screen constantly, with no way to avoid it. Not needed all the time, just during videos. And ironically, the videos are not full screen...

Absolutely terrible app. I want to watch content on here but the app makes it hard. My biggest gripe is watching videos in full screen. It crops the bottom part of the videos off. If there are captions you miss half of them cos you cant see them. If I watch a video then go back to a channel, I have to scroll all the way through the list to get to the last video I watched to see the next one. I have numerous gripes with it. If this is to be a serious competitor with YouTube the app NEEDS work.

bitchute is a great platform, especially with YouTube going downhill so fast with their insane censorship practices lately but this app doesn't work at all. When I click on any of the buttons on the bottom I get sent to the login page, and after filling my username and password out, the login button does absolutely nothing. So I basically can't get past the login screen. Also, I'm not sure if it's a feature or not given how I can't get there to see, but if it isn't, please add Chromecast.

I cant tell if they've removed the homescreen or if it just hasn't worked since November 2019. Now other functions aren't working properly either. It's really frustrating, but I think the service is necessary when other sites are suppressing content. PLEASE FIX THIS APP Edit: this app signs me out constantly. It tries to auto-play, but it is unable. More than half of the videos I try to play dont load: the screen starts flashing black and then stops altogether. There are so many glitches.

login to one section and it takes a while before the others are logged in. closing the app didn't help. next day it was ok. I want to be able to skip forward or backwards with double tap on the right side or left side respectively. I want the play speed setting to stay between videos. I want to be able to play videos with the screen off. I want to be able to play a video and browse other parts of the site (to add to my watch later playlist, for instance).

The app simply does not work. I logged in on the home screen, and when I went to the subscriptions tab it asked me to login again. When I attempted to do so the tab froze, before displaying a blank screen. Same with the settings tab. I realise you guys have a small development team, but you cannot hope to get anywhere near YouTube with a completely broken app. Please fix.

Pros: - Access straight from your phone's home screen - Stay logged in after clearing your browser's private data. - Get to your subs in one tap. Cons: - Can't play in background (browser version can). - If you're using in split-screen mode and you rotate your screen orientation, the video restarts. - Toolbar gets in the way when playing videos in full-screen mode. Great app, but currently I like the browser version better. Either one is way better than that other video hosting site!

Love the freedom of content on the app, crucial in the age of censorship we live in. A couple of things I'd like to see improved: the app can be very slow to respond, the search bar in particular. Also, it would be amazing if the app were able continue playing audio after leaving it, like Google Music does. Many thanks for the efforts.

I like this app whilst it clearly needs improvements it's still very usable and intuitive to navigate. There are plenty of bugs like not all subs showing up within the tab and the upper menu with notifications sometimes doesn't respond until several seconds after opening the app. There was also an initial issue when starting the app for the first time regarding not logging in. But this was resolved after closing and restarting the app. I gave it only three stars because plenty of work still needs to be done, but problems aside I'm still able to access the content I most want with relative ease. It's not as good as the YouTube app. But clearly BitChute don't have the same resources, but I'm happy to support. I haven't used the app as creator mind, just as a viewer.

Buggy? Installed this because a close friend of mine left YouTube. Also wanted to give this platform a shot myself, but it has lots of bugs and the GUI isn't that user friendly. Logins freeze up and doesn't sync with every page, and the home screen never loads in. Able to play videos but it's pretty primitive at the moment. Other than that, I like it, but could use a bit of flex tape.

I'm not expecting too much just yet. It reminds me of old youtube where everything is completely random and not censored. I'd love to see this developed more as a replacement for youtube. kinda annoying to sign in everytime and I can only be signed in on one device at a time, but I hope that will be changed in the future along with better loading times and general structure of the app. Keep it up

Please make this app better. The content is important. The interfacing sucks. Its glitchy. I always lose the video I'm watching and can never find it again unless I'm subscribed and remember the creator. And even then I have to go find my place in the video which is annoying AF. The search sucks. Its too easy to click the wrong button and change video. There's not enough characters to even describe all the problems with the app. Its so bad that it's almost like its done on purpose.

Everything I try to listen to freezes 5 to 10 minutes in, then I have to exit and start over. If I try to start the video where it left off it freezes again and simply won't play. I've tried with WiFi and data. I've tried powering off my phone and uninstalled then reinstalled the app. No improvement. I love the idea of uncensored speech it just sucks the app doesn't work.

I love the concept of this website and app but you definitely need to optimize it a lot more. The fullscreen especially is very poor and cuts off the bottom of the screen and if you swipe your screen in fullscreen it switches to another tab which is really weird. I'm sure this will all be resolved in time. I love what you guys are doing!

Always freezes if you stop video for more than a few seconds. Also my menu bar never hides itself like its supposed to when I go to full screen. And since I always have to restart the app it would be nice if there was a history tab so that I can start where I left off. This app has a VERY long way to go. I don't understand why... There should be plenty of news and paranormal and alt right content flocking over to this platform in droves. Come on guys I hardly ever see updates for this thing too!

Worthless. Fullscreen does not transition the video to wide screen. it just uses a small frame at the top of the screen. the tabs at the top are not hidden either so it doesnt even go fullscreen. Even if you manually rotate your screen it for some dumb reason zooms in on the video so the edges are cut off. if you want or need subtitles forget it, they'll be cropped out. This app has no reason to exist in this state.

I like the fact that it's an alternative to YouTube, however, it needs tweaking. First, every time I change to another tab, like from watching a video to "my settings" I am prompted to log in again. Then it freezes up on me! Now I can't even see my feed because it prompts me to log in. I know my password is correct, too. 🤬 The other issue I have is the inability to cast to my TV/ Chromecast. I prefer to watch videos on the big screen. The login freezing makes me want to uninstall the app.

This app is so clunky and dysfunctional, I uninstalled it in less than 5 minutes. I wanted to search for a particular video, but couldn't get the search function to hardly work. I finally found the channel the video was in, but I'm not browsing a list over 1300 videos long that was not organized, not even in chronological order! Useless. I may look at it this app again once it is usable, or maybe not.

Exactly one year ago I reviewed the app and gave it 3* but noted its lack of polish and a lot of work that needed to be done. It's one year later and the app appears as basic as ever, including this garbage about having to constantly re-login, even when switching tabs! Bitchute is really blowing this opportunity.

Unresponsive, buggy, randomly crashes, and a terrible UI. The concept is wonderful. The execution is a rolling dumpster fire. I've tried this service several times and gave it three updates to improve and NOTHING has gotten better. Why do I have to log into each tab? Why does it crash or fail to respond if I try to use a different tab? I've used programs in alpha that were more stable than this. This is why nobody switching over from youtube yet. FIX THIS!

I like BitChute quite a bit, but this app? Oof, not a good look. Extremely buggy, mostly from freezes and lockouts. Changing tabs will force you to the login screen even if you've already logged in, but wont allow you to resubmit so best hope you don't need that tab for that session. Search still requires insane precision and the formatting is the same as mobile browsers. One upside is videos load faster than on mobile browsers. Skip for now, its obvious there's still tons of work to be done.

Thank you for making an app that will make YouTube a thing of the past, may BitChute never converge. Please work on the background play. You should be able to minimize it on the screen, so you can use other apps while it plays. You should also be able to hear is whole the screen is in locked mode or off. Thanks again for all the hard work!

it's okay but the user interface needs work. If you intend to compete with YouTube on anything other than freedom of speech the ui needs to be more than a squashed down version of the website video browser. better organization of content, more options for phone notifications, simplified interface, and for god's sake hide the bottom bar when you're in fullscreen landscape mode.

At this current time (11/3/19) this app is completely useless. Just stick with using the website. You constantly have trouble signing in, searching for users is broken, the entire home screen looks glitched, full screen video doesn't hide the on-screen function buttons of the phone as well as the task bar along the top. I like BitChute and the movement but it just feels like this app was thrown together in an afternoon over a couple of beers just so they could say they have an app.

The service of BitChute itself is mandatory and I'm glad that it exists. A free speech alternative to YouTube's fascist nonsense needs to end. However, this app is TERRIBLE. Randomly logging out, staying on the same page when you tap the different icons, blank white screens, you name it. I love the service and the content, but please fix this app. If you do, I'm sure it will get tons more use.
