I chose this antivirus because an IT magazine I trust recommended it. The use on my mobile phone (Galaxy) is easy, it does everything by itself once installed. It does not slow down my mobile phone. (As opposed to on my laptop) On my mobile phone, I use the free version: Ads are fine, that is, they are not intrusive. Well done.
Unobtrusive, and works perfectly as far as I can tell. It hasn't found anything on my phone, but then I don't do anything even remotely risky so I really wouldn't expect it to. Gives great peace of mind, though. Don't remember actually seeing an ad, which is better still !
It seems good but before I would pay for it, it needs to do a much deeper dive into the device. Apps like Traced do much much more and its free. I thought sense bit defender has been around for so long they would do some real time protection and also check pre-installed apps but it doesnt. It never finds and issues and only scans 51 apps. All phones have much more than that from the get go. I feel let down. Exspecially with Protectstar out there and other apps with military grade encryption.
Needs too be compatible with play protect. The same as hornet antiverius i used in the past. Also doctor webs. Just deleted a new 2022 new antivirus because it add too many things on it. Like battery interfearance, c p u cooler down, etc. I just need a basic antivirus that doesnt need all these stupid permissons. I usually give a antivirus a day only too check if i like it or not.
I just downloaded bitdefender free since it was highly rated by Consumer Reports Magazine. I hope it works well. UPDATE: I have been using bitdefender now for the past 2 months. It works extremely well and the thing that I like about it is that it is not invasive and runs very quietly in the background. I don't notice a lot of pop-up ads that come with it which is another Plus. 3/28/22. Update: I have continued using this app and I still find it helpful and non invasive. One of the best!
4 for now coz i kinda like the feeling of 24/7 protection by seeing an icon in the status bar. Theres no option for that. Edit 4-10-22 : i got a new phone. Vivo Y12s. Here, your Autopilot feature keeps shutting down. I mean the icon in the status bar disappears all the time, no matter how many times i turn it back on, it just disappears. Considering uninstalling now... and get another brand... Edit 4-14-22 : i have solved the issue of the app's icon disappearing. Its working now. Back to 4stars.
Decent free Antivirus for Android. Scans system, apps and SD card. Ads are not in your face and are mostly informational. Interface is clean and straightforward, as all you need to do is tap the 'Scan device' button.
The interface of the app is very good, strong protection and very light on a android device. But there's one problem, it doesn't have an anti theft! Like kaspersky, in the free package it has an anti theft. If the free version had an anti theft I'll definitely give it a 5 star.
I really like the program I've been using it 10 years ago from nown, i don't like that they stop free version of windows it was really good for the poor people in the middle east area who can't afford the proce of license of bitdefender regards dollar rate exchange
Thankfully, this app is not overrun with annoying ads like some competitors. However, please make it clear up front if additional features eg VPN etc. attract a fee.
On Google play store this is the easiest antivirus app in free version.... One of the best and senior pros.... Highly recommended and much appreciated.... It's a 5 🌟 app.... and I must say people who really in need of antivirus app should install it right away without 2nd thought.... Does what it says on the tin, runs discretely in the background and does not affect smartphone performance. A good free tool.
Ads very unintrusive and never in the way of use of app. Prefer over all other antivirus apps as a result of the saving time from being forced to watch an add between actions like avast, avira, and maybe some others that I have not tried. Too bad you guys discontinued the free version for desktop.
Great free app. Android is less apt to be hacked. But having at least the minimum protection on your cell will save you from the stress of having none at all.
I have tried other antivirus for my mobile, this one is proving to be good as its easy to use. Just download and it does everything else as easy as that. No slowing down of mobile or other apps. Let
Would give it a 5 but seems to not want to start back up automatically after phone has been idle for a while. Maybe the paid version would correct that.
Bitdefender Antivirus has the Highest reviews for Security Software. I'm running it on my "Chromebook" (2019 Time will tell if it's suitable for Chrome OS
I really like that there aren't bunches if add to sit through before I can scan my phone. It runs in the background so I can continue doing other things. I've tried more apps like this than I like to admit and my experience with this is by far the best. Keep it up and thank you.
Normally a great app but has been absolutely killing my battery since the last update! 64% of the battery usage has been from Bitdefender in the last 2 days!
Just removed Kaspersky and installed this app. So far so good, it's easy to use and especially like that it's not intrusive. Scanning is done periodically and everytime a new app is installed automatically, prompting discretely at the bottom of the screen. Great value despite being free. Thumbs up.
