Bitmo - The better way to gift

When it works it's pretty good, but it doesn't work more than it does unfortunately. The install went fine and adding my bank account was easy, although I wish it didn't go through Plaid. I attempted to add an AmEx and couldn't, attempted to add a Chase business card and couldn't. A day or two went by and I got a notification something was wrong with my bank account link. Went through the process and all was the same as above. I was able to make a purchase and get points before I got a notification that something was wrong with the link to my bank account again. Went through the process and I might have gotten one more credit and then the problem notification once again. Now I will uninstall the app and have the account deleted.

Terrible App! Even with UPDATE!!! I don't even begin to understand when Plaid asks you to enter your bank credentials. Then when you do enter the correct financial information. Plaid glitches, and doesn't allow you to link your bank account.🙄 What is the point of this!?🤨

Not sure how I can accumulate points when the app says to add a bank account instead of cards. Adding cards only brought up Plaid's account linking system. Used my card twice on purchases and there are notification about points earned or even pending. Also, support is really horrible at contacting you back. Don't waste your time downloading this shady app!

I have other similar apps and would like to try this one, too. But I'm not a fan of the idea of my credit card and bank info being connected to the app. Why can't you just use PayPal? I was wondering how it would work without scanning receipts..

Not sure why I can't edit my last review but I liked when we did not have to claim pts like it was before, now e have to claim points after every transaction when it was automatic before.

Easy way to make money. By the time you realize it you have enough points to redeem for giftcards of multiple selections. One thing I wish they fix... There appears to be no auto sign-in or stay logged in so I have to constantly log in to see my points. Please fix.

Like that it has a very large selection of stores. Love the app UI. Confusing to figure out at first, but you'll find that in most instances they'll offer 5%-1% cashback when you buy a gift card though them. Unfortunately their regular cashback without buying a gift card is .1% which can be annoying since you don't always remember to check the app. New user perks are great got $10 back from my first $50 purchase and $20 from a friend. Still prefer Slide, but this app is better sometimes

So far, my current complaints are that it takes days for your points to arrive and it won't let you just stay logged in, for some reason. That's fine for some apps but I really don't understand why this one thinks it's that importunate, quite frankly.

Welp.. I installed it and signed up and then started reading the reviews on here. Lots saying that it's glitchy in a bunch of ways. I decide to go back to it to look around and it's already glitched and signed me out. I believe all of the repeated complaints in the reviews.

So far so good. I love just making everyday purchases and getting points towards free gift cards to those places and there are a lot.

Do not use. Requires users to sign into their bank account to add a card. Rakuten app only requires the card number. DO NOT USE.

I love this app honestly. They don't bother me with useless emails or notifications. I've gotten several free gift cards. The app is so easy to use! And the customer service is hella awesome! They're always on top of any issue & beyond willing to help with & do whatever they can if there's any issue whatso hever!

This App is Legit! I was skeptical, but i used it twice now and super impressed! The customer service team is amazing, super responsive, and extremely friendly!!! They go above and beyond ANY customer service from any other app or business i have ever dealt with!!! Its because there is a real person replying to you and they actually care about the customer! If only it were possible to give them more stars... Thank You Bitmo Team!!! You have NO IDEA the impact you have had on us! Just Amazing!!!!

App requires mobile data connection to verify phone number, the 3G connection isn't working to do that and app has crashed multiple times in the few minutes I've had it, not impressed so far. EDIT:. Bitmo customer service was responsive and helped me out. Updated app is working now.

Excellent app, very easy to use and set-up. I never did receive my confirmation email but I emailed them and was told I could still use all the Bitmo features without the verification email which I am doing and it's great!

Email verification is horrible. When I clicked the link in the email on my laptop it just took me to a page to download the app. When I clicked the link on my phone it just took me to the Google Play Store. When I manually opened the app and went to the email verification page it automatically sent me a new code, which invalidated the one I already had. After getting the new email I tried to type in the new code, but typing over the previous code didn't work and the backspace didn't work very well. Original review: It just says "The phone number provided doesn't match your device Please enter the correct phone number and try again".

At first it couldn't verify my phone but after 2 days it was fixed. I enjoy this app and I'm going to buy giftcards here from now on. I've seen comments complaining about the FREE 5$ giftcard people got....Be Thankful BUT if you dont want that card it gives you the option to exchange. Some of the complaints aren't even valid.

Unreliable to buy gift cards. I purchased a $50 gift card using PayPal and the order status says 'delivered successful' but the gift card in wallet says 'pending'. According to their help page, if it order history says 'delivered successful', then i should have been able to see the gift card. Not worth the hassle to buy gift cards from here if they are not instant... for just few points. Would rather buy from raise or somewhere who has them discounted anyway.

the app was great when I started in December, offering 10 to 20% off gift cards every couple of weeks. Now they give nothing! they want to use you to get a $5 promo gift card if you sign up your friends. They want us to do the marketing for them. please bring back the 10th to 20% discount on the gift cards!

i like that you can use coupon codes but it takes forever to verify payment. especially if youre trying to use paypal. i dont like that you have to input your bank routing and account number.

fantastic app for getting gift cards. i like how you can exchange a gift card after buying one if you change your mind. great design, very intuitive. i would like to see a PayPal option though.

So far so good. A friend had sent me a referral link for Bitmo & I had got 2 GC in return for signing up. 1 for Flowers Exchange & 1 for BK. It was a a nice surprise especially since I live houses away from BK. I am going to keep this Bitmo App so I can just buy GC's for gifts instead of cash to my children. Plus it's convenient for the long distance gifts cuz if you want them to have something right away just send them a GC they may use right away. You just can't go wrong with this app. Thank U

the app isnt a scam, its a legitimate giftcard purchasing tool. they are selling giftcards at full price, when they can be bought elsewhere much cheaper. app description indicates you can split up existing giftcards- not quite, as those cards must also have been purchased through the app. i wouldnt call that an existing gift card. customer service did get back to me inside lf an hour though, so thats good. in summary, you can trust this app, but not much benefit until external GC xchange is live

Says it doesn't support Verizon carrier. Thats bs! I think it's a way to get people's personal information ℹ️ if you ask me from reading other's reviews. No one is basically able to sign up! lure u in with the hopes of getting a free $5 gift card, then get your vin info now know where u live and your phone number. "UPDATE" on my review, the company sent me a $5 gift card through email for the VIN check. I was told my carrier is not supported at this time. Im not able to review the app so 3 stars

Super easy and handy

Never Get Your Points!!! I referred 3 people that all signed up, one made it to the required active Bitmoperks level and I never got the 20k points from him completing sign up. No reply from support, no help, nothing. I told the rest of my friends to stop sign up since it seems this app doesn't actually do what its supposed to

App does not open when attempting to login. I've tried logging in with Facebook and Google and it always returns an error stating that I do not have an internet connection. same error on 4G and WiFi.

i would give it no stars if it would allow. had trble the sec i opened the app. refused my phone carrier, so what, im supposed to use an old, disconnected number & that would just b a whole different set of issues altogether. Nope, this is a joke and i do not recommend.

its a scam. they want your bank info and will delete your account. I would stay away... edit- I did email you guys and you said you wouldn't tell me why. never emailed back after. VERY unprofessional. they WILL delete your account if you have a decent amount of gift cards on there and unless you had codes saved they won't give them back. just a heads up to everyone.

Never actually gain points. I receive notifications from the app stating I've received points when I spend money in store at some locations (Publix, CVS etc), but my points balance never increases and there is no purchase history in the app.
