bitwarden Password Manager

I love Bitwarden, I cannot live without it and i'm glad its open source But when you switch from Google autofill, its not the same ease at all to autofill passwords. Since I switched I'm experiencing every now and then difficulties with autofill (for example when "automatic lock" is on, but not only: autofill pop up appears but if I click somewhere else dont reappear unless I reload the page) . I hope the devs will put a emphasis on those autofill issues for a flawless android experience. Thx

I've been using Bitwarden (self-hosted) for months, the mobile application as well as the browser extension and the desktop version. It has never failed me once, although it's probably not the prettiest application I've ever seen. Whatever, it gets the job done very well and synchronizes flawlessly, that's all I'm asking for!

Excellent App, highly recommended. Totally secure, allows you to set up your own folders, very easy to use and store info plus it's free, unlike so many other inferior apps. Another excellent option is, you have the use of a password checker, which searches to see if your password has been compromised anywhere else online. Perfectly fit for purpose. Don't even waste your time trying out others, this really set's the standard.

I've been with LastPass for years, but they started charging too much for their service. Bitwarden's free plan supports multiple devices, has all features that made me happy with LastPass (mostly autofill and multiple devices), and it's recognized to be more secure, since it's open-source. It even supports import from other password managers: I was able to migrate all my passwords from LastPass in minutes, preserving types and folders. Maybe the user experience is a little less intuitive than LastPass, especially for advanced features, but there's plenty of documentation and overall, as a developer, I feel quite familiar with it. All in all, I've been evaluating Bitwarden for some hours and it has already convinced me to make the switch.

It's clean and easy to use. Of course, for a password manager app, you gotta dig a little bit deeper. So i did. I'm no means a security experts, but at least i've done some research if it relates to my online security. And honestly, i like what i see. From the developers and the types of security they deploy, i can see that they do care about privacy.

Pretty good replacement for LastPass, but on my Pixel I don't get a prompt for saving new passwords or updating new ones. This should be a central feature, I don't want to start troubleshooting and going through menus, this is something that should work right away, it's 50% of the job of a password manager.

Very frustrating. It's never running, so it never automatically fills in passwords, so have to manually open every time. Why do I need to have the app open and maximized ALL THE TIME for it to even function? Doesn't recognize pages there are already passwords stored for, so I have to re-save every time, leading to 12 entries for the SAME THING. All I'm doing is saving, for no reason. Downloaded it because it was a top recommendation, but it's literally useless on my Android. Hate hate hate.

Great app. I love it's security features and how easy it is to use. For the mobile app, it would be great if there were plus and minus signs (or arrows) that allow you to select the amt of characters for a password, like in the online version. Using a slider is a pain for people with big fingers. Also, would be nice to have a feature that asks you to save a new entry or new info added to that entry. Sometimes you can forget to save after adding new info and have to retype again. Thanks.

Bitwarden is a great password manager. I use it for work, school, and personal use. The app itself is kind of hit and miss. Autofill doesn't work sometimes. Sometimes the app doesn't recognize a password field (maybe a website issue). Sometimes it doesn't even recognize a website. Once in a while it shows the wrong password to select for autofill. When it does work, it's awesome and when it doesn't it's just a minor inconvenience. I still recommend using it.

Pretty good system. Switched from LastPass because I couldn't make it work. Bitwarden is dedinitely much more user friendly and I can always get my password into the field on a login page. I still haven't quite figured out how to always get the right URL into rhe website field, specially when I'm setting up a new account or changing a password. But I'll get there. The Help is quite good. I use it regularly😄. Thank you for creating a highly effective password locker that is easy to use.

An excellent password manager. Open source is a plus. Constantly improving. The ability to log into multiple accounts and switch between them is awesome. It makes managing my parent's account much easier. More services should have this feature. However, Bitwarden REALLY needs a tagging feature. Right now it only has folders, and being unable to apply multiple tags to an entry is incredibly irritating. It makes managing a large number of sites/passwords a chore.

I'm so conflicted about this rating... On the one hand, I just love Bitwarden, features, pricing, ease of use, everything is so awesome... BUT... there is just one quite crucial factor that is simply awful (at least on my Realme phone). No matter what I do, and what battery management settings I change and what autofill settings I enable... after some time it all just resets, and I need to re-enable everything once again. It's just tedious :/

I've used this app for 2-3 years with no problems, but just recently, i've been unable to update any info to my vault from the mobile app. Bitwarden desktop app seems to work fine though. I uninstalled and reinstalled the mobile app, and now i am unable to log into my vault at all. Desktop app still working fine. It's as if the mobile app cant contact the servers or something. Devs, please help!

Best free password manager. Interface is easy to use, has password generetor in it, also checks your passwords for any known data breaches, has no limits on how many passwords/accounts you can save. The only thing I would add is to be able to add colors or pictures to saved accounts/passwords for faster and better differentiation of saved accounts/passwords.

After using this tool for years, I could say this is the most productive and secure password manager I could find, with its cross-platform application and browser extension, and I would like to provide feedback on 2 things so far I have faced, sometimes the app autofill is suddenly disabled, disabling battery optimization for the app solved the problem halfway. Second, I wish the refresh vault button was on the home page. Both are not breakdealer for me, the app is totally recommended.

I hate this thing. No matter what I do I can't get rid of all the auto fill boxes. Makes it almost impossible to log in. Then it can't tell the difference between user id and password. Then the times I want to have it pop up it doesn't and I have open the app and unlock to get it back. Most annoying app I ever used

I love this app. This is a Cross platform password locker that works perfect for me. I have it installed on my PCs, Android, and apple devices. I haven't felt the need to look elsewhere for such a service. I recommend everyone that has multiple different platforms AND want to pull your passwords out of Google and apple. Best password manager i've used! A lot cheaper than the competition, even though it has better features and layout. The free version is the best free password manager there is! You literally have unlimited passwords with the free version. Can't say the same about any others. I pay the $10 a year to support the open source developers. Just as secure as it's contenders with AES-256 Encryption and Zero Knowledge. Don't forget your password, because not even the company can retrieve it for you.

As much as I like it, it has some important issues. First, many many times it has not saved and synced a password I saved/created on the smartphone. The same has happened the opposite way. Another thing is that it is slow to load the passwords. It takes a few seconds every time I open the app.

Great except the popup button on input fields constantly just sits there blocking my view of what time typing and other elements behind it, and often doesn't go away at all, just floating there in the middle of pages. It is totally unnecessary as the option is also in the bar on the keyboard.

Switched to this service from Myki since they are closing their app and I gotta say I love Bitwarden even more so already. The browser integration on my laptop logs me in so quickly without the need to unlock the app for every login like Myki used to. Only thing that would make it better would be adding some type of biometric login for the phone if that's possible? My master password is quite long and complicated to type in and enabling fingerprint login would be so convenient.

This app has been working well for me, until recently. It has now started to freeze/stall whenever I try to add a new login, whether in another app or directly into this app (if that makes sense). The circle just spins and spins and it says "saving" but this goes on for minutes at a time before I get impatient and then force close it.

Ever since an update last week the app frequently requires me to input my master password in twice when trying to fill a password field in an android app. I wish the password detection was a bit stronger, as I constantly find myself frustrated trying to fill passwords in the phone browser and other applications I would expect it to recognize.

Hi , bitwarden team . Firstly the password manager works flawlessly (99%) of tthe time , although sometimes rarely i cannot fill the mail id & passwords for certain website . The best thing about the app is , its full featured , adfree , plus with great security features . Highly recomend this in place of any other password managers for all :)

What has happened here? I had to reset my Chromebook and then had to reinstall the Bitwarden app -- but now it won't let me in. It gives me a split second to respond to a captcha before that disappears and I am left with a blank screen. In the meantime, ALL OF MY PASSWORDS ARE UNAVAILABLE BECAUSE THE APP IS MALFUNCTIONING. HELP!!!

Bitwarden works well on my laptop, but not at all on my android. When I go to a site login, Bitwarden doesn't even pop up to give me an option to use it. I tried the recommended fixes on the internet and nothing fixed my issue. I'm very disappointed.

Accessibility is a real issue. Autofill does not work on my Samsung devices because Samsung continues to kill the app. I know it's not the fault of Bitwarden but it's too frustrating to deal with so I'm moving on.

Used DataVault for years, worked ok but started to accumulate glitches from lack of users. Bitwarden has been a slick replacement. Took a little juggling, but figured out how to transfer my info from DataVault to Bitwarden via the windows app and the website.
