Love the restaurant, but have had nothing but issues with the app. Between it sometimes saying items aren't available for curbside when they are, taking money for an order, and then saying it's to late to order (so not getting food), constantly saying a card is declined on the app but works perfectly in person, or just not working all together randomly, it's nothing but problems.
Upon selecting checkout a tip is automatically added. I amended the tip and proceeded to add payment. After adding payment the tip defaults back to the original percentage but I already hit submit because I wasn't aware the app would change the tip from what I wanted to leave. The tip should not be altered after the patron has manually added a tip. This is a terrible design FLAW.
There's a loading bar for every single thing and it can take up to a 2 minutes each. I don't know how many times I've just ordered from somewhere else because I didn't want to deal with the loading anymore. Wifi or 5G makes no difference
Our server was Patrick. We've been coming to BJs for years, here in Denver and Orlando and always had good experiences but Patrick was by far the most pleasant and professional person we've had help us. He's an absolute credit to your Company, thanks for a terrific night we will certainly keep coming back!!
When I entered my information to be able to use this app, it asked for my preferred store. My store is in Tilton NH, but that is not an option in the drop down menu. The closest one I could find on the menu is N. Attleboro MA, but that store is no where near my home and I would never drive that far when the Tilton NH BJs is 5 min from my home.
Love the special instructions part of the app and the food comes fast. A lot of great perks to BJ's! The updated menu is 10x better than before. OBSESSED with the bbq sauce!!
Everything is quite easy until you get to the payment flow. Thats difficult. I tried 4 times to pay them and on the fourth time it finally worked.
Lately the app has gotten worse. It put 3 holds on my credit card for the posted order. I can only imagine the trauma if it was linked to a debit card and it had tripled the charge amount. Bank sees it as pending and I can't tell them it was an app error. I have used it before and progressively it has been getting worse. The first few times were okay.
2nd time in 6 months that I've tried to create an account on this app and it keeps telling me that there's something wrong with the server. 2 different phones and in 2 different states. This is useless. Update: 1/28/2020 It's the 3rd time trying to register on the app and there are still server problems. Just get rid of the app already. I wish I could rate this a zero.
This is one of the best restuarant apps I've ever used. The menu is complete, clear, and concise. The process is quick and seamless, they even allow you to store favorites and reorder from your history. I just found out that you can "group order," so if a bunch of you are wanting lunch with friends from work at a relatively precise time (they're always ready on time so far), either pick up or delivery, you can each order on your own apps and combine the delivery/takeout. How cool is that? Special instructions for your food order? Not a problem. There's plenty of opportunity to specify or even type a nice Thank You. Includes tip calculator and tipping option. Now I'm starting to feel bad for wait staff and cashiers like where the auto-checkout counters are at in other stores. The world's going labor free! Well, the app is great - so I, for one, welcome our automating food servers. And the food is excellent - plan to have leftovers.
For the second time, I've placed an order to be delivered at a later time. For the second time, the order was immediately submitted, made, and delivered before the scheduled time. Why each time you change screens does a pop up appear to change the date, time, and address? It is unnecessary and just leads to wasted time and potential for error. Why do details change during each step of the payment process? Again, just leads to more errors.
Worst app ever. It's sluggish and often doesn't submit information. In some cases, you can put a note for a customization, e.g. "dressing on the side", but it's not consistent. On a group order, there's no obvious way to submit the payment. Turns out, you have to go to the left-hand menu and select Mobile Pay. This app often just flat out doesn't work, as well.
I've been to BJ's 3 times in the life, and I'm sure I'll go more. This app is simple, and great for anyone who goes to BJ's a lot. Think of this as a mobile restraunt rewards system.
Putting your name on the wait list is useless. The app doesn't offer the estimated wait time or a suggested wait to be seated. Calling the restaurant is also a waste of time.
Would give zero stars, bit one star is the lowest. On main drop-down menu, there is no category for Orders. When I got to the restaurant, I spent several minutes looking for my order to confirm with the staff. That is a primary reason I even use this app. You have to dig down deep into rewards and history to find your current and past orders. This is a HUGE miss and should be fixed ASAP.
The add your points from previous visits didn't work for me. i tried it several times. I know they have a record of me dinning there because my credit card was billed for my meals immediately. This place is getting worse and with other restaurants opening close to it. i don't think it will last long. The app is Okay.
This app always says an error has occurred, in order to use it I need to uninstall it and reinstall. Also doesn't show my points or history. When I order online and pick up, I have mentioned these problems to manager. He has said that a lot of customers have the same problem and that they are trying to fix these things on the app. It has been over a year and the problem is still not fixed. Very frustrating.
Won't move past opening splash screen. I've uninstalled and reinstalled more than once and it still performs the same way- unusable...
When trying to pay the first time, it took me to the waitlist whether I scanned the QR code or hit bill pay. After about 10 minutes, I tried again and it worked. Too long of a delay if I was in a hurry.
The app doesn't show all the pictures and constantly showing out of stock menu items that are actually available.
Easy to find things, ordering and paying. You can also make a reservation thru the app.
Tried ordering food and all payment methods were denied.. Used 2 different cards and PayPal and didn't work. Cancelled order and went somewhere else.
Wait list is pointless, you should look at Texas Roadhouse reservation system, way better just a tip..
This app only works once and quite poorly, immediately after installation. After you exit the app, when you reopen it you get an error message. "Sorry, Last Connection Interrupted, Please Try Again Later." Force stop, checking all permissions are on, clearing cache, none of these work. You actually have to clear all the app data just like you reinstalled it to get it to work again. Whoever designed this app, or is maintaining BJ's servers, is incompetent. Fix this first, but plenty more wrong.
