BJ's Wholesale Club

If I could give this app ZERO stars, I would! It will not connect properly in store. When I check out via app, it drops sync and drops key pieces of info from my profile, forcing me to attempt to check out 4-6 times before actually doing so THEN -- when I get to the front door, the checker LITERALLY rescans EVERYTHING IN MY CART! What is the point??? I will NEVER use the In Store mode AGAIN! It is frustrating and ultimately pointless!

Love this app, very useful and easy to click through to place orders. BUT, please fix the coupons page. It is out of the margins and the CLIP button cannot be accessed unless I rotate my phone and screen, which makes it very difficult to clip coupons. Thank you!

Much improved over the last 2 years. It not only allows the use of BJs coupons now, it shows when coupons are available for your items, and you can clip the coupon and add the item to your cart --- all from the same screen. It is also allows you to add items to your cart when you view a previous order. These are money and time saving improvements.

2 years later, still not a fan. Jumps into Club Mode when I'm in the middle of doing something and disrupts what I'm doing. Express Pay scanner works intermittently, showing a black screen instead of the camera. When I checked out, the employee said she had to rescan several items. This starts to defeat the purpose of Express Pay --- Frustrating UX. The in-club mode annoyingly pops up while I'm looking at coupons. If I press "back" the app exits rather than returning to the main screen.

Overall the app is easy to use. It even let's me know low supply items that are on my order so I can adjust accordingly. I love that I have several different ways to receive my order. The only real issue I noticed is when I tried to change my pick up person, there's an edit button, but no way to change the name. I do not drive and often have family pick up my orders for me. It would be nice if I can change the pick up person as needed.

App is working better so changed rating. I just wish the grocery department had various sections, dairy, deli, meat, produce, etc. more like a regular grocery store. I also wish wifi was better so it wouldn't take 10 minutes or more to connect when picking up my order. I usually have to go in and tell them I'm here. Very inconvenient. But I do like shopping online.

Just rejoined again and like the new features in the app, but would be great if it could be changed that the express scan and pay be changed so its not just for 20 items or less. I'm also a member at Sam's and I can do my whole order in the scan and pay and it's definitely more then 20 items. Makes it much more convenient for us shoppers to not have to wait in line all the time.

Occasional issues but works good most of the time. Convenient for store check in, express pay & product scanning for price and/ coupon checking. One negative - I really would like the ability to unclip coupons if I select one by mistake or simply don't want to save it any longer. Currently they stay on clipped list until they expire or get used. Lame.

App was working fine for over a year. Now the top menu is half cut off on my screen and most of the categories either won't load or are empty so I can't make lists or orders. Typing in the item specifically does not give results either. Uninstalled and reinstalled. No change. Back to my laptop I go.

I get the same items from BJ'S every two weeks. I can quickly see what is in stock and fortunately, my items are always in stock. I check out the specials and coupons which are conveniently located in one area of the app. Then I check out using PayPal and select a pickup time for curbside. What could be easier? If I could give the app 10 stars...I would!!!!!

At first I was going to give this app 5 stars. But luckily I decided to wait. I wish I could explain my scenario, but not enough characters. Long story short, can't do another purchase after 1st checkout without turning in receipt/QR code. Plus, you scan everything just for the ppl at door to have to rescan everything again. Helps you use your coupons & skip the line, but held up the line at the door, due to them having to rescan everything. Makes no sense, visually check like paper receipt!

App is generally a time saver. It tends to be a little slow to integrate location based forms. For example, if you open it when you are at a club it let's you start using and then kicks you back to theain screen when it realizes you are in club. Should be a smoother transition. When you use app to avoid the register the screens are not great to actually confirm what you have and haven't scanned.

What a garbage app. Every single time I try to use the express checkout option where you get to skip the register it says that this feature is only available in club, even though I am in the middle of the store and using the store wifi. Restarting or clearing the app cache does nothing to fix this. Trying to decide what warehouse club to join? Don't bother with BJ's they can't even get an app right.

Update: this app is just getting worse. If you put things in your cart then search for something, or look for a coupon, when you go back to your cart, it's empty. Same goes for coupons. Waste of time. Items listed in app say " for shipping only. Not available in store". But I just bought them in the store. Get things updated. Stop doing updates! Things just get worse. Now when you try to sign in, you're stuck on " we're signing you in" and nothing else happens. Worthless app.

It needs to be better. Some product are easy to scan. The rest of the products are unable to scan into cart. I spend way more time typing in what I'm searching for and adding it to my cart. I have gave up half way due to the inconvenience. This honestly pissed me. For a long time this app has been avaliable. I can see why people don't use this app.

Much improved from earlier versions as of 5/15/2022. I gave up on the mobile app entirely with its off base search misses, slow page loading and crashes several months ago. Due to necessity I had no choice and was surprised how smoothly the order and payment processing went. My true rating is more like 3.5 stars but I rounded up according to the available rating system squarely on the basis of the improved performance of the app.

The app is great for coupons, but the check out function is very poorly designed. You check out in the app and it gives you a QR code to show to the person at the door. They then have to scan the QR code and the proceed to scan everything you bought again! So it actually takes longer to leave than to just check out at a register. It would be awesome if you could scan the QR code at a self check station a have a receipt printed. Dumb design!!

Frequently does not recognize when you are in the store or on the Wi-Fi and will also forget you are in the store, wiping out your cart. Seems nearly impossible to navigate to the fuel saver program information. Always have to go to the website and still difficult there. No way to sort coupons for fuel saver program qualifying items in the app. Needs to be benchmarked against the Sam's Club app.

Absolute trash. Every single time this dumpster fire updates, it forgets your password. Coupons only apply when they want to. It also requires internet access to work at all, so good luck getting a signal in a giant steel box. Bjs is too large of a company to be putting out this pitiful UX. The cache clearly has nothing to do with this issue. Most of them come down to design decisions you've made. Don't patronize me.

Terrible app, horrible customer service. The app forces you into 2 step verification every single time you try to sign in. There is no option to bypass it even once you've verified your identity. And customer service is useless and won't help. Returns to the store and on line are a nightmare. My on line return credit took 2 months. I'd give BJs negative stars if I could.

Absolutely love how easy it is to navigate through this app. The fact that you can select items in the app that have a coupon and then have it taken off your grand total when you pay is a really cool feature. No need to scan coupons if you don't need to! Would recommend this app to my friends and family!

I love this app because I never need to remember my card when getting gas or going to the store. I can clip ALL the coupons and order groceries while sitting at my kids practices, then just swing by to pick them up on the way home without bringing the kids in the store! Plus, I earn spend rewards both in the store and on my BJs credit card. Five stars for convenience, time savings and money savings, win, win, win!!

The scan and go part of the app is great. The problem is not really with the app. The problem is having the door person having to scan every single item that you just purchased through the app. I have seen other stores just scan three to four items. The QR code tells the door person the number of items that were purchased. Why rescan everything at the door again.

Only works in the store half the time. Don't rely on this app when going to a BJs. Make sure you bring the physical coupons with you because the express pay is extremely hit or miss. If you're just looking to browse their flyer it's great. Other than that it's completely useless.

Wish you could easily edit a placed online order.Currently you have to cancel entire order and redo order. Where's the edit button?? Nice app and great savings. Wish you could order a hot, fresh, roasted chicken. Rather than many times standing around for them to come out of rotisserie ovens. Tasty bluck bluck. Been using their app to place small orders and do curbside pickup. Fantastic! Also used app to purchase/have tires installed. Smooth transaction and great prices. Tire installation great!

I used the in- store feature for the first time. I was excited about skipping the line and checking out in app until I got to the exit and to worker who checks receipts had to re scan every single item I purchased. Totally defeats the purpose. This process needs some real rework of BJs doesn't want the exit line to take twice as long as check out.

Great app, it's has very few bugs. Its been awesome this year cause I can order pretty much everything online for curbside. It's light-years ahead of thier competition warehouse app that begins with a C, so much so I'm most likely not renewing them next year and sticking to BJs.

Very helpful. Nice to have coupons at hand. Update: It worked flawlessly until I got a new phone. Now I cannot use the app at all as it wants an authentication code to sign in but I never receive the email with the code so I am stuck. Tried it on my husband' OLD OLD phone and the same thing happens.

Love the ease of the app to shop, apply coupons and see what is available for curbside pickup versus what will need to be shipped or is out of stock. I wish the available coupons would show in the results versus having to go into a product to see if coupons are available. Example: when searching paper towels it would be nice if the results indicated which paper towels had coupons available.

App is well designed and easy to use. I do wish they would add a links from the coupons to the products so you can add items to your cart more quickly, but that is a small unique qirk for me.
