The app seems not to have the 2021 guidelines available. Is there any plan to add them? Most/all competitions are using 2021.
Haven't used it much yet, but 2008 and 2015.
Thank you for the thoughtful icon.. It's more intuitive...
As a beer aficionado, I really appreciate the extensive reference. It's very comprehensive, and promises to be even more so when it is updated with the 2014 info. However, I am no expert, and because of this it would be very helpful if the search function could drill down through the tree so you could discover to which major categories your search term belongs. Wildcard searching would also be helpful as you may not know exact spellings of the thing for which you are searching.
There is an enormous, flashing ad banner that is annoying as heck right on top of the screen. No option to pay to remove it, no way to get rid of it. It is a HUGE eyesore. I know you have to pay the bills, but don't ruin the app in the process.
Love this app. I use it frequently, however, it needs to be updated with the guidelines to change to 5 stars. I don't mind the small ad banner for a great, free app, but keep it current. Many brewers are excited to use the new guidelines.
Was a pretty useful app that was definitely handy for studies and to look up quick info. Unfortunately they haven't managed to update to the new styles so I have had to find am alternative app for studies.
App was good for it's time. Unfortunately, updates were too slow and other apps took the lead with better feature sets. Suggest looking elsewhere for an app that isn't 6 years out of date
Nice having the full guidelines in your pocket. Great app, search is a touch weak though.
Useful and fairly well laid out. However the ads are annoying and even distracting. Has anyone ever paid any positive attention to an ad on an app? The way the ads are in this app cost it (at least) two stars. Lacks SRM graphics for styles - does have an overall chart but SRM under style is a number range only.
The 2015 guidelines are up now, you should consider updating asap. I'll give 5 stars when updated.
As a beer nerd and brewer, this comes in handy when explaining styles to people who are unfamiliar with the lingo. My friends and I love to introduce people to new beers and this is a valuable tool. I look forward to the next release.
I'd like to have an option to pay instead of the god awful flashing ads that bombard the screen. Good app otherwise.
Straight forward 2008. Still waiting for 2015 XML feed. Organized by style number. Could use text search engine. Back button closes app. Fixes coming.
Missing some beer styles, eg: gose. They should update this app if they want 5 stars from me.
Good app but outdated. Will give it five stars if it updates to 2015 guidelines.
Love the new interface. Get a search in there like the iPhone app and I'd bump it to 5 stars.
Useful when studying for cicerone but given BJCP 2014 is now used for the syllabus, this app could do with an update
Wish I would have noticed this app before now. Great job! Easy to navigate and I love the search capability. Can't wait for the updated styles to be released. Any idea when the 2014 (now 2015) guidelines will be added to the app?
Use this app all the time. Can't wait for the new updates coming.
The new 2015 guidelines were released. Any chance the app can be updated or another version released to reflect these?
Would love to see a side by side comparison feature for multiple styles...
The first bjcp app and still the best
Still waiting for update....
Looking forward to the 2015 update
Love it. Thanks for keeping it up to date.
Awesome resource. Look forward to the next update.
Be aware that to see the current styles you need to switch to the 2015 guidelines in the menu. The app displays out of date guidelines as default. Search function only searches within the selected guidelines so many styles appear missing unless you happen to notice the poor UX choice and switch. Could be solved with a message to choose preference when first opening app, or making the option to swap easier to find. As-is it's hard to notice even if you have the menu open. Perhaps it could go above the large ad on the main screen?
