Kesting's stuff is a treasure trove. Biernacki offers a a rare of thinking about bjj, through systemization, logistics, and physics. Love it
Finally a path to follow, awesome stuff
Jiu-Jitsu's obsession in becoming the foremost authority on fighting from a position of weakness has led to a dizzying array of techniques & strategies. The Guard Game app does an amazing job of organizing this information into an impressive taxonomy. As both teacher & student, you basically have lesson plans ready to deliver & review, & the structure in place to easily add more to your growing library of moves. No doubt the best in the series so far.
There's essential concepts, knowledge techniques, tips & tricks that in almost a year of BJJ I've never been aware of. I know after one viewing of this, and a few additional viewing for certain techniques, my game will be so much better next time I roll. I can't emphasis enough how much this will change my guard game, my sweeps and escapes.
Perfect resource to systematically cover the guard play. It gives you a solid structure and heaps of practical examples of how to apply the concepts. It doesn't give cookie cutter approach solution but instead teaches you how to think about concepts and how to problem solve. I recommend wholeheartedly.
The section on guard replacement/ recovery alone is worth the price. I don't usually submit my reviews online as other people are much better at words than me, but for this i have made an exception. This is in my opinion the best BJJ instructional i've purchased in years! The price is a steal! Thanks Stephan and Rob!
Whilst you may already apply some of the principles unknowingly, now that they are made clear you can sharpen and use those skills in different positions.
Anyone beginning bjj should get this app.If all beginners were taught the concepts shown on this instructional then more people would stick with bjj!
Not a collection of moves but rather a series of concepts which force you to think differently about your guard game. Very helpful and useful. Thanks Rob and Stephan.
This is the best guard retention instruction bar none. And like someone else said your Brazilian jiu-jitsu instructor will not teach you this stuff so get the app now!
This app shows the fundamentals of the guard system. Instead of showing guard techniques in a step by step plug and chug format, mr Kesting and Mr. Biernacki explain the theory of how a technique works. This is awesome its the physics behind jiujitsu!
This is such a great instructional app, I have learnt so much, Rob's levers and frames mindset had really hit home with me and it's improving my game immensely!
Simply put, if you want to really understand the concepts involved in bjj, this app is a great investment.
I've long been a fan of Stephan & his guests videos but this series of instructionals with Rob, have been amongst the greatest I've ever seen. Well done, you've produced a fine app, guys.
Stephan Kesting is the name for quality BJJ instruction. Biernacki and Kesting highlight principles I can remember and practice while sparring. It's helped my guard game already. Thanks!
Great information and lots of it! Guard is probably the most complex position and this teaches great fundementals good for anyone to learn and/or review.
Great app. More than just a collection of techniques. A great supplement to go with your regular classes
Great content as always, probably the best guard material I've seen.
Only giving this 5* because there is no facility to give 10! Great concept based teaching
Concepts and ideas that can be put to use instantly! I recommend this app to anybody who trains JJ!
really good system level thinking of the bottom game. learned a ton from this app
Awesome app, organized in a helpful way and easy to review.
Awsome for guard retention and recovery ...simple to use and easy to apply
Very good series or apps.
Another well produced instructional by grapplearts.
Wise words as usual!
Excellent app. Very dense with information. You'll need to review this several times in order to extract all the meaning, but that just means it's worth its price.
