Crashes since update. I have a BB Priv and it has worked flawlessly for almost 3 years until the latest update. Now app crashes constantly and will not receive or send mails. Have had to uninstall and revert to the old stock hub and stop auromatic updates. It is a shame I preferred this new version. Update as of 9/6/20, latest update of 4/6/20 seems to have fixed the problem. Back to 5* :)
For the most part the app is good for the notes, calendar, contacts and tasks. The email has been an issue when replying to emails. Leaves a large space between the top and signature line and the cursor is not positioned properly. Don't know if it's a app issue or a Samsung issue. Sent emails to support with no feed back on how to resolve the issue. I have a paid subscription.
Loved it, now latest update is breaking it. When I tap on a text Inbox simply opens Messages (or whatever SMS app is being used), but doesn't go directly to the text. The old version worked perfectly well for me, I want it back, PLEASE! (Old version would have been 5 stars from me.) This issue happens with Google Messages and other SMS apps.
It used to be great - but after the last updat I am not longer able to add a new Google email account. I did a factory reset (24.05.2022),installed all updates and now I get continuous authentication errors. The advice from internet (including blackberry website) -to create a Google account first and then set BB Hub+ Services and Inbox does not work. (..) UPDATE: found a way: after FR, Enable Chrome, instal updt Hub+ Serv but no Inbox. Set G acc, then updt Inbox and disable Chrome, inst. WebView
Hub is always bogging down, freezeing when trying to open emails or delete emails. I have three email addresses programed into the hub. Using a Pixel 5a. Problems since Android 12 update. Tried deleting older emails thinking that could help. Presently, the Hub is unusable. Have followed support links with no success. Have sent email to BlackBerry Support only to be re-directed to support pages with no help. A disappointed former Blackberry user and now a paying Hub subscrber.
The call display log always shows a missed call for any incoming call, even though I answered! Every record is duplicated. And why is there NO SELECT ALL option to select all displayed message (i.e. to delete or mark read or mark unread). Otherwise longtime fan.
One of the most useful apps for managing multiple email accounts and other social media streams. If you use a VPN, this app functions best when allowed to bypass the VPN.
I don't usually leave reviews but Blackberry Hub has been my go-to email app on Android for a number of years now. Unfortunately, I just upgraded to an s22 and you can no longer add Gmail accounts (as others have said below) due to the user agent issue. If this was fixed, I'd be willing to update my review. Until then, the app is next to useless for me.
I have enjoyed using BB Hub for years. I hope we see more to come from BlackBerry! That said this app has become broken. I get a 403 error when I try to sign in to gmail accounts and as someone who doesn't really use social media, all I used this for was my email accounts. Please fix without breaking something else.
It works for me on my Google 3a XL EXCEPT for one thing. Every once in a while the checkbox for the Unread Filter in the Unread Email view somehow becomes unchecked. Therefore, my Unread Email view shows all emails. So, I have to go back in and check the checkbox.
I have a Galaxy S10+ and inbox keeps crashing since the last security update. It crashes like once every 2 days for the past month.
Long time BlackBerry fan. Hub won't work. Program won't open. Won't refresh. Disgusting. (I have been with bb since the side wheel...)
The latest problem is a new email shows up on the phone home screen, notifications work but go to the hub and it's not there. Have to restart the phone to get the emails. Problems are becoming normal for some reason?
Can't open phone numbers inside the inbox. It asks if I want to open them with bb contact app or with the stock app... Please help or fix, I am using a OnePlus Nord CE with Oxygen/Android 11
No ads. Works great for unified messaging and is easily cusrtomized.
Since there are few unified inbox apps I decided to pay for this one. It made moving from a Blackberry to an Android phone less painful. However, there is an issue that needs to be fixed. It handles texts poorly! When you respond to a text, it just opens whatever texting app you have installed and you have to find it and respond within that app. Also, unless you respond to a text immediately, the notification asterisk stays for hours! I expected better from Blackberry software.
Great app. I miss my physical keyboard but at least I can keep my emails organized. I just wish it would support 2 step verification for work email.
Why there is no options for storing the emails attachment on External memory (SD) which will save a lot of internal memory storage of the application .
Works well. Zero complaints. Make sure you install hub services first. Love how I can still use the hub on my s22. All my communications in one spot. Amazing!
Blackberry 10 user here. Migrated to Android, tried a bunch of different e-mail apps, including this one. Not very impressed. On BB10 you had just the Hub, but on Android you have 20 different apps and every one is trying to steal access to your e-mail, SMS, calls. Like why? Why do you keep re-inventing the wheel? E-mail was already invented and it's good, there is no need to turn it into chat/phone call/sms etc, etc. I got frustrated and just deleted this app and downloaded APK of old classic Android Mail client for all of my IMAP accounts and everything is now good.
Since last update the folder list stopped showing the sent messages folder, even in the All Folders list. I "fixed" my own problem by uninstalling the app, and then reinstalling it. Of course, i lost all previous emails when i did that, but that was the lesser of the evils, as it were. Thanks for responding! I didn't expect a response. PS im a diehard Blackberry fan, and plan to remain one.
The app has a lot to be desired now but was very useful in previous years. I have issues getting my emails at all or in a timely manner, when they show up in seconds elsewhere. But, the thing that has always irked me the most, though, is the nonexistent spam options. I'm not sure why in 2021 there's no solution for this, but it's turning me, a BlackBerry loyalist, off of BlackBerry apps that were once useful. Sad I have to use a completely different device for my emails & to work efficiently.
Generally love the experience. But I'm not sure what has happened. But I occasionally have a freeze happen when I go to reply to an email. The keyboard freezes and the message takes forever to load, sometime around 30 seconds. I though it was my network so I switched networks, upgraded my phone s8+ but in the end I still have this freezing experience.
Well, they went and broke a perfectly good app. You have to hunt for the refresh button in a menu tree at the upper left ( which means you can't use it with a one-handed operation) and put the settings icon in the upper-right which is almost never used. Search function at the bottom is nice, yet interferes with Android keys. If it isn't fixed, I'm going elsewhere after YEARS of using BB and Hub. EPIC FAIL!
One of the most convenient apps out there. Brings everything into one place. Emails, texts, chats, etc. You name it. You can sort items by unread, which allows you to always stay on top of your new messages. The app makes it easy to process through dozens of messages in seconds and maintain a clean inbox. Thank you Blackberry for releasing one of the best parts of the Blackberry OS for the rest of the Android devices.
while the new app look nice, they've deleted the ability to look at folders and then search within a folder. now it is basically useless as far as folders go. why would you change that???!!!!! also while i can see texts if i open the text app, if i go into the hub and click on texts it says there are no texts in this view, even though it is set up properly. i have no idea how to fix this.
So you have sneakily introduced an utterly useless 'experimental high contrast text' which hurts my eyes and I have to spend hours trying to find a way to reset to my previous settings... that is very frustrating! Why don't you notify us about the change AND GIVE US THE OPTION to reject the change. That would be the right way to go about experimental, unnecessary updates.
