Almost perfect, but a bit underwhelming on the Galaxy Note 9 that I now use. On BlackBerry devices, it's perfect! Minimal, but practical, well-suited to adding lots of keyboard shortcuts in my experience. To make up for the loss of keyboard shortcuts on the Note 9, I use the Edge panel and some Air Commands, and that's where I'm wanting more. A lot of the shortcuts can't be added to the Tasks Edge panel! This would be very handy for some of the shortcuts I used a lot on my KEY2, like Bluetooth toggle and mobile data toggle. I updated my Note 9 to Android 10 earlier today, so my guess is the launcher not supporting Android 9 and 10. If the launcher was updated to support those two OSes, it would be perfect!

l seriously regret using auto-update. Unfortunately, my Motion's latest OS is Android 8.1.0, and the recent update for Bb Launcher runs on Android 9 or later. And since its installation, my home screen goes completely blank after closing any app. The launcher button has the same effect. I have to close all apps and then turn the screen off and back on again just to get my home screen to properly show up. So, I am left with waiting on the OS update or resetting my phone. It's 🐎💩 either way.

Shortcut keys crashes the launcher which makes this phone close to useless. Because of this bug, I will not be getting another Blackberry phone again. Has not been fixed for 6 months! Update: I was trying to revert to an old version of the launcher that worked. Unfortunately, it seems I cannot revert so I'm still stuck with a version that doesn't work. The latest version is not working for me on the Key 2! I was really looking forward to the Key 3 but unless this problem is fixed, no deal!

Not good for tablet, though I understand people use this more for smartphones. So I finally moved away from the BlackBerry K1 to Sony Xperia 5 II. After using the native Sony/Android Launcher, though it was ok. I've decided to try to this in with Xperia and it made the transition so much easier, familiar and comfortable. I like the BB Launcher, only thing it didn't work on the Xperia is the "recent open apps" window instead it's like an accordion. Not bad would have preferred the windows.

I've had a Blackberry Keyone 3GB for more than one year and I've only used Blackberry Launcher since then. Even though the launcher allows physical key bindings for launching apps and tasks, which is a tremendous advantage for Blackberry users, it still lacks some basic features for further customization and for performance improvement. One feature of this launcher I would really love to be implemented in the future is the ability to enable/disable the app drawer icon, for example, but there are other tools that this launcher is still missing compared to the most popular Launchers available on the store.

For a default launcher, this is PACKED with both aesthetic and useful features. Still, some things I'd like to see in the future are (1) the ability to change the app icons individually, (2) a true black dark theme, and (3) the choice to replace the app drawer button with a swipe from dock to view all apps.

Yes, the launcher contains ads. Why does it contain ads?! It didn't used to! The app dock/drawer has a big ad on the top. No option to disable what so ever. No option to dismiss. Very stupid considering I can download other launchers like lawn chair or Microsoft and get no ads. I noticed in my short time with the launcher it wanted me to download extensions for almost everything I did. Very disappointing and very ashamed of blackberry. What a shame for a once good company to output such TRASH.

just like others who've reported ... "The most recent update of blackberry launcher has broken basic functionality. Anytime the last running app is closed, or you select the home button while viewing the running apps the screen goes blank. You can not get to your home screen, or any running app. The phone has to be closed (locked) and then opened (unlocked) for the homescreen to reappear." Need a fix for this basic functionality. Update: I was running dark theme in the BlackBerry Launcher. I went into launcher settings and changed it to light theme. Restarted. No more issues. I then changed to dark theme again, restarted and no more issues.

The Blackberry Launcher from time to time slows my RAM tremendously - it begin to use 1.3 -1.4 Gb of RAM instead of usual 200-300 Mb. I should close it every time by force close the app. After some time - the story repeats. Could you please review and fix the bug - all other features by itselves are excellent. Give 4 points as far as the above-mentioned issue is "fly in the ointment". P.S. My phone is BlackBerry Keyone Black Edition with 4Gb of RAM. Shall I provide a screen shot - I gladly will on request. I use Oreo 8.1.

I have been using this app and the other BB aps since my Key 1 and over the last two years on Unihertz Titan phones. All have worked fine bit i have now moved to a Pixel 6 and have one issue, any widget I place at the top of the screen disapears overnight and i have to add it again. It may not be the launcher at fault though bit mayne the developer can check. I hope the BB aps keep getting updated.

Desperately trying to get this thing off my phone. It is eating up battery usage and has completely changed my home screen. Have uninstalled twice now and it just reinstalls itself. I wouldn't give it any stars at all, but have to as cannot post my comment without!!!! Feeling frustrated!!!!!

Doesn't really do much the base launcher doesn't. Works as part of the entire BB eco system but to use said ecosystem be prepared to download it's many components and grant those components full access to your phone. I would have been willing to give it a try but none of the apps would even open unless you granted every. Single. Permission. They asked for. Forget that.

Pretty disappointing when this has been around for severa years now and blackberry still cant figure out how to retain homescreen layout after restarting the phone. Originally gave 3 stars even with this problem. But at some point it should have been fixed. Not a good look for a "software" company. Its across the board with all blackberry apps.

Simply put, THE BEST launcher for Android. Clean, simple, fast, intuitive, user-friendly, free of gimmicks and cartoon-ish nonsense. Never had any of the issues others have mentioned, it just works every time. I had it on my Galaxy S8, and now on my S20plus.

Slick and fast. Could do with a lightning fast mode which removes all unnecessary animations without having to go into developer mode. Never had any problems with BlackBerry launcher and restarts instantly if dealing with a buggy app. Top Marks for the world's premier secure device and software company.

I really wish I liked it but I didn't. Blackberry Launcher certainly is not a bad launcher but there are many other better launchers available. I tried it because I was a Blackberry user in the past and I used to love the email management and productivity features of the OS. Unfortunately Blackberry launcher doesn't provide the same experience. The interface is just OK without any highlight. If you're looking for a "business like" launcher better go after Microsoft Launcher.

Terrible mechanics, unintuitive & bad response to touch. The moving wallpaper makes transitions horribly laggy, heavy feeling & unappealing, I wonder if any testing goes into any of these Android apps. It seems everything with Android is best in theory, embarrassingly executed. Why can't Android manufacturers hire just a single person with an eye for what looks and works great??? Why does it seem like everything is designed by 70yr old blind car engine mechanics with numb fingers??? Rubbish.

Could be better. After the add of the advertisement banner it goes realy of with the ram or maybe the coproccess (combination of appdrawer and the advertisement banner) when initialise it goes like super slow on my phone i own a redmi note six pro samsung galaxy s9 ans an s10 its still laggy on both of them as well.. I tryed my best to keep this launcher. I loved it but mow i have to move on to something else.. I dont use the launcher to slow down my phone... But to make it faster.

Kri. M. Jul 18, 2020

No idea what others are complaining about. Works perfectly on my Key2 without any issues. I'm able to install live wallpapers without causing any lags at all. The launcher is simple and productive and gets the work done. All apps integrated for smooth experience. I don't know how this launcher looks on other phones but on BlackBerry, its very reliable. Definitely better than bloated stock launchers that come on Samsung phones.

Blackberry what happened to my home buttons, I was able to hide it not anymore, now sits there in black not see through like other launchers. Can this be fixed please? Also trying long press on a icon is a pain, Evie launcher is so flawless and smooth and has more features but I like BlackBerry launcher because of the notifications, does a better job. Please fix the home button all black problem.

Sam. P. Jun 25, 2019

your application is so usefull and convenient for the blackberry key model, very well designed. i love it. BUT you have to fix the lack memory issue. BB launcher runs by consuming at least 1,5 GO of RAM memory... i can't even use it smoothly because 95 per cent of memory is used and there is no one running application...

Gd. G. Oct 29, 2019

It doesn't allow user to hide the dock or change any single icon. Also drawer icon cannot be moved from dock. But this is the only launcher supporting keyboard sliding navigation between pages. Please keep making improvements and providing more options for geek users.

Effective and Fast Launcher. The only real annoyance is that moving apps to the Home screen can be very touchy often requiring more than one attempt. Less polished but faster than the Microsoft Launcher and better organized than the standard Google launcher.

Da. F. Sep 20, 2018

It's a decent launcher but it's stuck in the past. No gestures, no customization, not even a option to disable the app icons when you install a new app on Oreo. I'm just using it so I can use the keyboard shortcuts on my KeyOne.

Fai. Sep 20, 2019

Can't use this as the main launcher on key 2 as ram usage randomly goes up making the phone unusable. Blackberry don't seem to be coming up with a fix anytime soon. Having to use another launcher unfortunately. Apart from the ram issue it's a great launcher.

Feo. G. Mar 9, 2019

Been using it for past 3 years. Laggy and slow. changed to another launcher and my Priv got like his second life to it. smooth snappy fast. Hope Blackberry launcher will come back with some performance improvements or i'm definitly not going back to it.

Ayu. B. Oct 30, 2018

This is a lovely app. Tho I use it on my note 9 but I have found it very very nice and cool as always.. but as a way of suggestion, can we get the option to slide out from the edge of the screen while on home screen without pressing the icon..??
