BlackPlayer Free Music Player

I love blackplayer and it's always worked really well until recently. First I downloaded some new songs and as soon as I edit the title, ther artist name and album name (to have it display correctly) the song wouldn't play. Before editing, it was fine. But as soon as I clicked the title it just wouldn't play and would skip to the next song in the queue.

I have many headphones and I will continue to acquire more for the joy of trying new ones. While some headphones do sound good without equalization, I have yet to find a pair that can't be improved with equalization. Unfortunately this is where the Blackplayer fails me, by only providing a very rough 5 band equalizer. Up until then this was looking like it might be the player for me. It has an enormous number of tweaks though I never did find out how to make use of or remove the ?-marks on the now playing screen. Once I discovered the weak equalizer I gave up as there was no point investigating it further. Still 3 stars for a mighty effort and I'll be checking back periodically to see if the equalizer has been upgraded to 10 or more bands.

I've used this app for I don't know how many years now, literally use it every day and it has never failed me and tbh you really don't need the paid version of blackplayer like you get everything you need on the free version without any stupid pop-up ads. Better than free Spotify, in my opinion. The only additions I'd like to see would be (like on Spotify yes) a small list of your most listened to songs each month and a page in the app where it can just recommend music, like a discovery section

It's a nice music player. The best thing is you're not bombarded with ads. I like the auto cover download as I like to see the cover while that song is playing. It's also has a manual download option where you can use your gallery pics. Sorts out your music several different ways. Many options to optimize your way.

I've used this app for years and loved it until I recently got a new phone and installed the app then moved all of my songs over to the new phone. About 40% of my songs are .wma format and they don't play on the new version of BlackPlayer. Or maybe they never played on the previous version either... I never noticed an issue till now. Please fix this... add more music formats. Thank you.

My only issue is when I double press the button on my earbuds it just skips over songs and triple pressing it won't go back to the song that was skipped but only restart the one after it, so I have to open my phone and select the song manually or let it play after my current song. Other than that I love this music player and it works well, it's very well thought out and has many intuitive features I've not seen so much on other players.

A friend told me about this app years ago so I've been enjoying it until the latest update. Like another reviewer mentioned below, songs have disappeared and missing. I've tried adding them again and again but half are still missing even though the music folder has them. I don't know why but it's pretty frustrating. I just uninstalled it and came here to install again then read a review that was having the same issue. Please fix the bug as this has been the only music app I've used.

Gotta like the app as it's actually a good setup unlike so many others. You've stumbled across a good music player. Welcome lol. Pros Responsive Clean setup and customisable in the right areas. Ie not so much looks but functionality. More pros easy to see Cons The major would be "preamp gain". Only up no down. So a tad frustrating as have to choose your secondary player wisely. Also lacks check for sharing audio. So to wit a above

One of the only ones a could find with a good queuing system and actually showing what song is next (even when shuffled). This is the closest you'll get to Spotify's UI and Features for Local Media. My issue is with the Search function. If you want to find a song and out both the Artist and the Title into the search bar, you will not find the song. You must either type the Title or the Artist alone. Special characters should be ignored too.

The App keeps CRASHING LIKE CRAZY evetytime music is paying in the background!!! I have "persistent service" turned on but it doesn't help! I have to keep the app on, for it to play music continuously, if the screen locks on its own, it later on crashes, again!!! So dissapointed at how unreliable it has become!

love, Love, LOVE, used it off and on for years. It's simple music player with great quality. Pro 1. Best editing function -can change album pictures/ artist / and titles name- 2. Amazing Playlist Layout -from a-z to artist- Cons 1. Equalizer Doesn't Work -not sure why they even have it, if it doesn't even function right- 2. Has A Tendency To Freeze -Will be listening and it glitches (extremely rare)-

As a Google Play Music refugee (as I have heard us called) this is exactly what I was looking for! No ads or paid premium services, free, plays when the app isn't open/screen is closed, and I didn't have to upload anything! The most I had to do was change the name of a few files so everything was better organized, and even that only took a minute. The design is intuitive and has more sorting options than Play Music. Thank you for this app!

This app is great, there's so many options for customizing your music player. I have a Huawei and my phone screen is large. All apps are set for full screen display, but with this app, I can still see my menu buttons at the bottom. I really want the app to stretch, to the top and bottom, for a full experience. Also, I was wondering if you could work on the lyrics, when I edit my lyrics they don't show the edited lyrics it shows the old ones, please fix. Thanks.

I've been using this app for many years and it has always been very reliable and high quality. However within the past few weeks, I can't even access the Albums, Genres, or Playlists tabs without the app crashing and exiting. It's made the app completely unusable so I had to switch to another app for now. If this could be fixed I would gladly reinstall this, it's my favorite music player! Such a pity it suddenly stopped working!

Overall, this app has been fantastic! I switched from my last player when it started getting glitchy, and have been really happy with it so far. However, yesterday I added a bunch of new music files, and after I edited the tags, the files wouldn't play. They were working just fine before that. Even renaming the file itself caused them to not work. I've never had this problem before. Any ideas?

I downloaded the app and looking at the UI, I was really happy. Very nice. Although the scroll at the top to move between artist, song, album etc is clunky. I'd prefer a list on the side. Then I tried to play music and it simply wouldn't. Songs would display but not play. I have a ton of songs on my phone that the Google music app won't read. This saw them, but wouldn't play them. So I uninstalled.
