It's a pretty solid player--even without premium--but I had to take away two stars: One because of a few bugs that stopped playback, and another because there's no A-B Repeat. How is it that in 2019 where we have fully-capable music players on our cellphones, one of the most basic functions provided with the cheapest MP3 players are nowhere to be seen? I recently purchased a new, more up-to-date phone so I may have to return a star in about a week if I'm relatively bug-free using this app, but if we can get the A-B Repeat with this app I'll have to give it a 5/5. It has a nice interface and decent features. It does (almost) everything I want it to with the only drawback being crashes which may be a hardware issue.

Great app! Very beautiful and well organized. It can always improve. I would like for us to be able to permanently delete the "Blackplayer Favorites" from the playlist. It always pops back up when I delete it. Also, when I skip a song, it still shows as if I played the whole thing. It's quite annoying since it ruins my stats. Songs that I skip a lot show as if I played them a lot. I would like for there to be a feature that counts a song once it has been played for like 30% or somnth like that.

I really like this music player. I use it almost every day while I'm at work. My one issue, and it's a really annoying one, is that sound balance doesn't work for me. If I lower the left volume at all, then it immediately mutes the left audio completely. It happens to the right audio as well. Anything less than 100% volume will mute the audio for that specific audio output and raising it back to 100% won't immediately fix it. I have to restart BlackPlayer several times for it to revert back to normal.

It's the perfect music player; simplicity looks great, plays almost all music files (my phone cannot play .wav files; this app does it for me) and you can have full control over it. Previous music apps I've used don't offer you to add or remove very little details (like interface layout lockscreen, etc.) and this app can do all of that. I love that I can make it fit my styling and make it more personal. The free version offers plenty of features so you don't have to buy EX, which is also great because most music apps don't spoil you like this from the get-go. I use the free version and I would definitely buy the EX version. One thing I have a problem with is that sometimes when I pause the song through the notification, the notification closes, which means I have to play it again through the app.

Es muy buena la aplicación, justo lo que esperaba. To the developers: after a while playing and adding songs as it must be, it got to a moment where it doesn't play the list by itself, therefore, if I want to keep it going it resides in my pressing the "next song" button. I don't know how to solve that, perhaps, by re-installing the app? but it comes to delete all lyrics and album covers I lasted much to set, and I don't desire that to happen. Cheers.

Great app, except for the part where it uses 1 of my personal photos as album art for each song. Even did the download album art and clear art etc etc, still there. Also, I can't add every song to one playlist, it's on like 6 different playlists. Just add all songs together and let me go through them. But, there isn't that option. I'll be looking for something better, even if I have to pay for it, you lost this customer because of your bad coding.

I've been using BlackPlayer since I could remember. I grew sick of Spotify playing ads even on my own music from my SD card, so I looked for an alternative. BlackPlayer has all the features I could ever want in a music player, and more! It's really easy to use and set up. I couldn't be happier with it, and when I'm not a starving student anymore, I plan on purchasing the premium version! Thank you for making such an incredible music player!

It's perfect and simple among other music players, but I have a problem. All of the musics are seem as double. It is not a big deal but just feels annoying. I checked the folders and re-scanned but it's still the same. Is it about a setting or a minor bug? If it's the app, I hope you to fix this. Also planning to buy EX version soon. Thanks!

It's a great app, especially for me who has a certain sense of aesthetic so having all album covers and artists makes it easy. It has a flaw though, I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing it. When I download a song from an album and then some time later download another song from the same album, the app will just make 2 separate albums - even if the cover, artist and name of the album are the same, and sometimes I can have up to 3 albums with different songs that all need to be on 1.

Great interface, ads are not intrusive However, if you're like me and have a large amount of music, you might have a lot of issues. It seems to have issues reading tags if you switch to use the BlackPlayer Custom Library (where all the cool features are) from the Android Standard Library (where tons of glitches lie). This used to be my goto, but I ma need to look for a new app.

Good but 1 major issue that needs to be fixed in regards to the volume from time to time out of nowhere the volume will blast super high on its own without me doing anything. The volume is turned all the way up but the music isn't all that loud and then without warning I get a massive jolt of volume that kills my ears. It also does not read all the music in my library I sometimes have to manually input an artist in order to find them.

Well I really wanted to like this app because i'm a spooky bich and it would've been perfect. Unfortunately this app is... strangely set up. There doesn't seem to be much of a way to JUST look at what music i have and play an album, but on every tab it shows me various versions and timelines of "recently played" or "favorites." First of all don't tell me what are my faves ya knob. Second, i don't care about the timeline of my music activity... i just want to play my tunes. It has a really nice equalizer feature, but that was my favorite thing. The rest just looks really sleek and edgy and doesn't give you very practical options and isn't intuitive if it does. So sadly, it's back to searching for a music player.

So close to excellent. I just have one small issue, the scrolling is a bit off on galaxy phones with rolled edge screens. A lot of times, when selecting albums on the right side of the screen, I activate the scrollbar and it jumps somewhere different. If I could customize the scrollwheel on the right to be more towards the side so I don't accidently select it, I'll have no issue buying the pro version. It's just the right amount of simplistic and customizeable at the same time.

If you're looking for functionality, features and ability to customise, this is the one to get. I've tried a lot of music apps now and this one feels most like it was made by someone who actively uses it and says "that would be a useful tool, I'm going to put that in". Great app! One thing I would LOVE to be included is multiple genre tags, fingers crossed

Let me down when I needed it the most. I'm a working musician and have used this app for several years. IMO the problems started about the time the ads started showing up. Somehow the basic song list feature got totally hosed and I was unable to find the songs I needed to review before a performance. Couldn't have been more messed up if I tied. Ended up downloading another ad free app just to get back to something, basic, and more importantly works when I need it to.

I love this player. I have a paid version. Recently ... maybe after latest Android update to version 9 ... the MEDIA VOLUME LIMITER has gone nuts. When I raise the volume I get the standard annoying prompt, only now it only shows for half a second and there is not enough time for me to press OK. It disappears too fast to click on anything. If I keep raising the volume it just flashes on and off. I have tried every solution I have found on the web and nothing works. Is there a setting in the Black Player I can adjust ?

I've switched from Apple with somewhat hesitation. I love music and losing some of the Apple exclusive apps have made me a bit sadder. But this app makes everything so much better. With one of the best clean-looking UIs in the play store, it claims the top spot for the best free music player. Of course some options are restricted, which are respected because developers need to make money. I haven't been a long time supporter but I can see a lot of progress has been made.

Really like this music player. It's beautiful, elegant, and highly customizeable. Totally recommended. The only downside for me is the equalizer. The equalizer doesn't work (tried both Blackplayer and Stock equalizer). Everytime I use it, it breaks the sound and need to restart the app. Would be so much better if they fix it and add more bands.

I've only had this app for a few days, but it's exactly what I've been looking for. It automatically recognized all of my music from my old phone (I just switched from iPhone to Android) and has all of the features I need and was comfortable having before. If you're coming from iPhone and are a little overwhelmed by all of the music player options, definitely check this one out.

I have been using this app for some time now and I never have the urge to change to another on. It's user-friendly and at the same time very dynamic and futuristic. The app has a few bugs: sometimes it crashes and currently it refuses to allow me to embed lyrics onto the song. Overall it's an excellent app with unique features.

Mit. N. May 9, 2019

Very good app. There's a problem with EQ though. If you manually switch to a different song while using EQ the sound becomes muffled. If you switch to any song afterwards the sound remains muffled. The only way to fix it is to stop the song, stop the EQ, start another song and then start EQ again. Doing so will unfortunately automatically set the volume to max, so good luck if you are using headphones. Please fix the EQ!

I've used Spotify for the better part of the last 2 years since I've switched back to Android, and used Samsung music for all my offline music needs until a few days ago when I decided to try it out again and I can say without a doubt it has improved my music experience a lot more. The library management system is a lot better than Android because I'd always have missing artwork and artist names, and now not only have I never felt that but my music is more organized than ever before. Amazing.

I have had this as my Androids preferred music player for a few years now but every time I re open it to use it I have to "Force Stop" the App to get the EQ to work again. If I don't it starts off blaring in my ears. Update after update and it still does this. Is it happening to anyone else or is it a problem with my phone (Moto G). I really like this app cause it let's me shuffle artists or play full albums in order as well. And I like Equalizers also.

This is the best music player in the Play Store, hands down. Elegant modern UI, ability to show embedded lyrics, tons of customizations and it's free for the most part. Kudos to the developer for making this app. My only minor complaint is that I wish the app icon was a bit bigger so it would match perfectly with other icons on my home screen.

Tec. T. U. W. Apr 18, 2019

I have little niggles here and there but genuinely good app. I do find it annoying that the back button on the phone works on almost every screen except the home screen while searching folders. Because the phones back button works on everything except this screen I end up existing the app when I just want to return out of the folder or album. I know you've put a back button in the app but it's so small and forgetful until I need it.

Its sound is among the better ones (in terms of giving out details and having 'balanced' sound). I gave it 3 stars because on my Vivo V3 it keeps killing itself off after a few minutes of playing (even during the middle of a song) while other players are stable enough to not have this happen. Equalizer also distorts the sound by a noticeable amount.
