The game is good but there are so many rooms very difficult to remember where to go back to use an item which can become frustrating. It would be better to simply close the rooms when all is done in an area. Using the free hint that tells you which room number to go makes it on the other hand too easy and boring. The clues are a bit too easy to solve. Iwould prefer a map where you can go to any scenes and shows with a red ! that there is still something to do there. Room for improvement.
I love the new updates since the last time I played. I just wish they gave you more of a story at the end of the game. There are 5 color globes you have to find, at the end you push a button in the jewel chamber and it's for the blue globe and takes you through the mirror to another land. But after you solve the blur jewel clues the game ends. What about the other 4 color jewels? It's kind of a lame ending.
If you liked the Myst type game, this is very similar. I love exploring and the scenic views are illustrated realistically and beautiful. The game is not a data hog, no adds. Navigation is smooth and I love that the map allows for quick travel from one place to another. Very enjoyable way to pass some time, I'm looking forward to finding out all the little secrets beheld in each scene.
The game was a very average puzzle game with puzzles you see and 90% of the same kind of games. There was nothing novel or interesting about it and the graphics were very basic with very limited movement. I gave it three stars instead of less because there are even more awful games than this one. Not worth the price, it should be a free game because it is very short and absolutely basic.
Fun to pass the time. The puzzles don't take too much to solve but they're still fun. You can finish the game in an hour or 2 so it's pretty short. The hints are great. They just tell you that you have an object/clue that can be used on level X. Good for people like me with bad memories and can't remember where things are.
2018: Nice mix of easy and challenging. Good graphics. Some puzzles were part of a theme/concept, but a few seemed random and less satisfying. ------ Edit: Replayed in early 2022, I forgot enough that it was still fun. Forgot to mention how helpful the flowchart of rooms and places. Easier the second time around but still fun. I've bought Blackthorn 2, I hope it's as fun.
I got confused at points but all in all it was a lovely game! I was so lost on the bell one that I just looked up a walkthough for it. Showed me different ways to get through the puzzles, which just ended up confusing me more. Kept trying to solve puzzles before I had the clue to them. And I did mange to solve something with the wrong clue. By the time I got the real clue I was at the end of the game. Still a fun game!
Great puzzle game with relaxing music, a compelling atmosphere, and beautiful visuals. If you get stuck, keep in mind that some items are used multiple times, and should be picked up after use. Can't recall what the price is, but I got it on sale for basically free using Google Play money.
Downloaded long ago then forgot I owned it, but finally played through and enjoyed the experience. Puzzles are quite easy. Piecing together clues is fun if hints aren't often used. The flow of discoveries isn't confusing like I've often seen from similar games. Playtime was ±3 hours – I wasn't rushing. Overall it's a relaxing, smooth-running game. Kept my brain occupied with good, clean fun.
Great puzzles and really nice graphics. Overall a very good point and click exploration game. The only thing that bums me out is how you have to buy quick travel AND hints separately, instead of just being asked for the full price up front. It comes across as sleazy even if you don't really need those extra features. I got the app for free on the play store and only paid for quick travel, so I still got myself a bargain, but I'd be frustrated otherwise.
This game was great! Im not sure what some of the reviewers were grumbling about. There is a map so you can find your way around so not sure why some people found it so hard. Also theres a camera that takes pictures of the clues so you don't have to write them down. All the puzzles flow nicely from one to another and just when you think the games over....theres another room with another puzzle. Brilliant! This is a collect the clues and objects to complete the puzzles game. It took me about 5 hrs to play and I only went to walkthru once to find the flint. The ending was good too with a nice little finishing story. Well done developers! I got the game free and wouldnt mind if you put ads in. I'll def check out if you've got any other games. Thanks for a great game. :-)
The music and scenery are beautiful! The music however kept cutting in and out whenever I traveled from room to room. The hints are helpful but I can tell they definitely want you to open your wallet and pay for Faster Traveling because you have to travel back & forth A LOT from one side of the map to the other. The items are put together in a clever, fun way though :)
another awesome game! the puzzles in this one were much more difficult, especially the first time I played. Not so much "figuring out the solution", but more "where the ****** do I find the next clue?!?". even playing through a second time a few months later, I had to resort to the hints to find over half the clues and objects. even so, I greatly enjoyed playing the game, and look forward to more in the series. good work!
Average game, simple with lots of back and forth. Would be 3.5 stars but the only difficulty was due to not being able to see many of the objects and important areas due to everything being to on dark. After wasting far too much time trying to figure it out, I finally resorted tons walkthrough which made me realize the problem. I had to turn my brightness up to about 60% (I normally have it at about 5%, so that should show just how bad it is) in order to see everything. Very frustrating, and turned what would have been an hour or less game into a 3-4 hour game. Also, large apps like this should store their data files on external storage.
Very good, but rather short. I may be getting used to these games from syntaxity, but this one only took about 4 hours, with no hints. Still, I like the gameplay: the graphics and devices are all logical, and the game is quite enjoyable. One puzzle was very difficult to solve once I veered from the initial configuration, but starting from the initial configuration it was quite simple. I'd like a lilttle more story context as I work though the rooms, but still, quite enjoyable. I'll definitely be getting their other games...
The map isn't so big that it's inconvenient to go from place to place, so no complaint about having to pay for the fast map movements. I don't know why anyone would pay for hints when you can find walkthroughs online, so also no complaints about having to pay for hints. Neither are necessary. The graphics are great. The puzzles range from very easy to decently hard sometimes. It was pretty much over before I realized, but for a pocket game though? Reasonable price and amount of gaming time.
This game involves some back and forth travel, but it's still an enjoyable hunt. I played using 0% brightness and an additional 60% dimming from an overlay dimming app. I have a sensitivity to light so my screen is quite dark, however I was still able to complete this game without any sort of walkthrough, fast travel or hints. I did overlook an item at one point but felt quite silly when I found it later. Everything is visible enough in the game. I mention this because I saw a few reviews stating it was not possible to see enough of the game without brightness turned up, which is not true at all.
The 2nd game of the series I played. It is significantly easier, compared to the Lost Ship (or maybe I've become accustomed to their puzzles). The story is a bit boring, graphics is as good. You absolutely don't need fast travel, just move there manually. No need for hints, the game is relatively easy (or follow a free online guide). You can still buy them, to further support the devs, if you want. Oh, and the game is playable offline, no cloudsave and no Google Play Achievement.
So, I bought this game when it's free (wait, is it still "buying" when you didn't spend any single money?). I love puzzle so that's why I try your game. To solve the puzzle is quite easy when you collect the right clue. Unfortunately I beat the game in almost 3 hours... Overall, the graphic is great and you're quite clever to make the player pay again for the hints and "quick travel"(?) around the map. Keep up the good work! ♡
I really enjoyed this.. good relaxing fun..Music non intrusive..if its on a loop, i never noticed. I downloaded it on sale (free).. therefore, map is only good for seeing thumbnails. It helped me remember where something needed to be completed. Have to pay for hints, however, never needed any. Didn't need walk through. There are clues for each puzzle, be patient. There is an auto camera, which is cool. Would love to catch another on sale. No regrets..:-)
Good game. Has two features that you need to pay for such as the hints and the fast travel. I did manage to solve the fame within 2-3 hours but it was hard trying to remember where I'd seen a puzzle that needed doing. Would have helped to have some kind of indicator on the ma to show you what still needs doing. Just wish that it had more of a story line.
This game is excellent. Challenging puzzles but not excessively to a point where you don't want to keep playing - the balance is perfect. Graphics is pleasant, controls are responsive and comfortable. All is perfect. I finished all 6 Syntaxity games and the only wish I have is more games from this creator. Please, can we have some more! :)
I really like this game. The graphics and music are really atmospheric and the puzzles logical to solve. I found there were enough hints to solve the puzzles without extra help online. Also there are quick jump points which I like since using various objects and clues usually means going to the other side of the map. Overall a good game to have on a long haul flight.
