Blade NewsSlide for Phone

Still some bugs that need to be fixed. Doesn't always open again if you need to leave it up in the background for a short time. Doesn't download to your device so if you lose internet or wifi, you can't continue reading. Difficult to find back issues if needed.

Does not work as advertised The app does not download consistently. When it does, many times the app will open a black screen for each page and you cannot read the news. Have to delete and reinstall to get the paper.

It appears that there are 3 'The Blade' apps. I came from one that has been totally unreliable! This one is pretty decent. Most of my complaints about the old one have been addressed. Please pull the other apps or at least make customers aware. I fought the other app for a week before I found this one.

I'm not sure how I'm supposed to read the paper. Can you please let me know? There is no delivery, and the App will not open. Please tell me you haven't just resorted to Facebook as your delivery method.

Unusable all too frequently. Many, of the few articles the app publishes, can't be read because 70% of the column is cut. At this late stage of development, this degree of bad performance indicates the project should be abandoned and/or a entirely different developer should take over. Perhaps the form of NewsSlide, emphasizing the image over actual written content, is the issue.

The left side is blocked by the selection side bar this app is terrible for the money 💰 I am spending fix 3 and you can't rotate it. Now a day later nothing loads. Worst app ever. Mr block you are a cheap guy. With all your money. And what I just paid to resubcribed fix it since I can't get a real paper

Since late January 2019, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app due to it suddenly not having any stories late in the first section. It has a download button that does NOTHING and swiping further does not reveal stories in other sections. It was bad enough dealing with that insane train whistle that accompanied an ad, but now this. Shoddy and sad. Update 7/14/19. Still occasional blackouts. Still days when it days no edition to view. Also, please keep sports to the sports section. IDC.

Doesn't auto-Landscape by its Blade program, and Samsung S4 Tablet can't force the Blade app into Landscape mode. Reader must turn the Tablet sideways and then remove the tablet from its cover-mount in order to read the news in Portrait mode which miniaturized the view and print. User must then Zoom to read.

Since the Blade stopped printing newspapers on Monday and Tuesday I had to download this app. Overall it's ok, I haven't tried other news apps to compare yet. The main complaint is I can't use the backup arrow to go back a page. I can only scroll down through the article then advance to the next page.

For the most part loads quickly with full content shown

I installed the app and selected rich, interactive view because I can't read the traditional view on a smartphone. When I select the interactive view, however, the app freezes up and I can only close out of it. Since I can't read the newspaper I subscribed to, I do not plan on renewing my subscription.

Slow and often does not load. Too much sports and too little hard news. Editorial writers have middle school linguistic skills.

The ONLY reason I dl this app was for the contests. So I'm really irritated that the app just pops open on it's own EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. When I do try to use this app it opens in full screen, then switches to normal- even though I don't use auto-rotate. Plus it doesn't even load properly, so I can't even read half the articles or ENTER THE CONTESTS (WHICH IS THE WHOLE REASON I HAVE THIS APP)!!!

Not reliable. I need to uninstal then. re install to be able to open. Significant bad issues have occurred since recent update

The paper does not always download correctly or at all. Sometimes there a blank frames where there should be a picture, and sometimes there are pages with no print. Many times I uninstall and reinstall the app to be able to read the paper.

Takes forever to load, if you're lucky. Many times I just give up to conserve my battery.

Missing peach features comics advice to lovelorn etc. No back or exit function. Also calls sports stories "news".

Just like the other Blade apps. I always have issues with getting the paper to download.

Horrible app! !! I don't know how they made this app worst than the last one...but they did Edit: absolutely nothing has changed !! Could this be the worst app ever???

This app is hard to use, and the articles are cut off on the right so the last few words of each sentence aren't visible. There's no way to move or adjust the articles or search for a specific article. It's challenging to operate.

This app is not Chromebook friendly.. I had no problem before printing off the Crossword puzzles and Sodoku or an individual article. Now it prints the whole section. As well, the "printable puzzle pages" are only half page size. Not impressed......

I enjoy NewsSlide...news stories and photos are first rate. Your sports coverage is poor. You select two or three stories and that's it. No High school basketball or football results...no NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB...standing or results. Can't be too hard to add that type of data on a daily basis, it's in the daily print copy, so why not in the daily News Slide?

Doesn't work most of the time. Occasionally it will load properly. But 9/10 times it just tried to load the latest edition but never does. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've made sure it was up-to-date. It's just a lousy app.

I like the idea of the app and when it works it's great. But most of the time it does not load all the articles no matter how many times I refresh or how long I wait. It also often just cannot load the whole edition. Needs to be fixed.

This app is terribly unresponsive and is formatted in a confusing way. I clicked on a story labeled as a "photo gallery" but there seems to be no way of accessing the photos.

i think its a turd of an app. it never opens correctly or never opens. it will close unexpectedly, it will shutdown even when its closed. I've deleted reinstalled, updated and it still does the same thing time after time.

I use this app for it's notifications they send in the morning for weather, and notifications they send any time of the day noteworthy news occurs, which is not so often that it's annoying; it's the perfect amount.

Content good once you get to it. Very slow to load.
