Tried it on 3 different android devices. It obviously was not tested on Android. It crashed at every turn on every device. video crashed 100% of the time. too many obcious bugs to count. I contacted support and my salesman with Blast onoy to be informed that they dont focus on Android "they are an apple shop". I think the fact that they advertise it being compatible with Android falsely reflects on the company as a whole. Currently trying to get a refund.
App doesn't consistently connect on my Android phone. Also, videos fail to upload to the Blast Connect cloud. Yes, I am on wi-fi, connected to Bluetooth and have full charge on the Blast sensor. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app and lost all previously recorded videos because they fail to upload to the cloud. You've got work to do Blast.
Horrible UX - Not support swipe prev/next swing detail page, so need to go back swing list page and the scroll position is reset (go to top) - Progress page shows one of metric info with graph, I don't think it is worth to display it. Each metric info can be swipe and once open swing list with the one of the metric info, UI does not support swipe, so it is hard to check other metric from the page - Swing detail page consists of swing video (video capture function is very GOOD) and several metric in portrait mode, but video can't be played as-is, it changes landscape mode and there is no back button. If you use software based back/home button device, it is too annoying. - some page has back button at top left of the page, and sometimes it does not sync with device's back button (so sometimes app is closed) - I'm in trial for full metric so trying to upload video to cloud system. At cloud page has media library page but the videos are sorted by "Uploaded" date not "Captured", so they are messed. - Cloud site is also horrible UX, so I will not continue the subscription once the trial period finished. - App crashes when I try to edit bat name, and lack of bat list. - At swing video page, up to 4 metric is displayed but can't choice by myself The sensor device is disconnected easily with smartphone. It is OK because the sensor stores several swing info and can sync with smartphone later. But re-connection process is too bad.
Blast sued Zepp. Zepp no longer makes baseball sensors in the US. I had a Zepp for 3 years. The Blast sensor works well and software gives better insight with regard to "staying connected". Also, Zepp didnt know the difference between solid contact and a mishit Blast does. Only issue with Blast is removing the base from the bat then the sensor from the case to charge it. Zepp was easier to charge.
The device is straight garbage. Doesn't connect to android phones apparently, even though it says it does. And they probably won't even bother to help me fix the problem either judging from other reviews. Just don't get this if you have an android.
The app is inconsistent. Sometimes I can upload to blast connect and sometimes I can't. Several updates are needed for a better user experience.
He was able to work every day on his tee work as well as getting his 100 swings a day in at the same time, all while keeping his progress and stats as he developed into a highschool/College Athlete. All from setting reasonable achieveable goals and working a little more each day
Trying to figure out how best to describe. Somewhere between a dumpster fire and just rotting carcass. Apparently if you have Iphone it works a bit better bur for Android and the web its just pure garbage. Oh and if you spend the extra money for the annual premium content good luck on getting a refund, Just a total joke
don't bother if you're an android user. app crashes all the time. not to mention android users won't have access to all the features advertised. called to have these questions answered and they blew me off.
Android devices are not being supported as well as apple devices. There are several options only available to apple app.
Not good on Android and not the same features as with an iPhone. Also keeps disconnecting.
I have a academy and I signed up a customer. He does not play baseball anymore and is trying not to get charged for monthly fees anymore and can not stop getting charged.
Poor connection to Android Samsun 8 plus . Had to reinstall 3 times and it is still glitchy, with connecting to the sensor
The app crashed and lost all of my data and now it won't open. Fix it asap or refund the money I invested in your hardware.
Sensors rarely connect properly. Data graphs are often wrong.
Great app, but would've gotten 5 stars if you could do environment on Android device!
Can't use the smart video capture on my phone, and I have a new phone.
Works OK on Apple. Obviously not meant for Android. Very disappointed.
Blast Motion caters to IOS users, most of the features are for apple devices ONLY... ready to switch to Zepp
Unusable once a lot of data is collected.
Great for personal improvement, gives instant swing feedback
Good app when it works... Crashes a ton though
On Note 9 works great.
Excellent coaching tool
App is horrible on my Android. Embarrassing really...look at the score. App always crashes, videos dissappear, etc etc. Not sure how a tool that basically requires an app to function has such a bad Android app.
