Blink Home Monitor for Android

This is a super weird service. Video quality is ok but it's annoying when I try to view live video and it doesn't work as it should. Also, when my phone is connected to Bluetooth it doesn't play audio for live videos. Instead the sound code straight from the phone speaker instead of the Bluetooth device...Been like this for months now after work good last year. What is the point of paying every month when the app is broken???

Found out the snooze option is still there. The icon just doesn't show. Press next to the icon to disarm the individual camera. Without paying the monthly fee you cannot store live views. Plus it takes a long time to start a playback fron the usb. By the time you can start the playback the issue had past. Just not happy with the system. I would not recommend it.

Once you enter the app from an alert you are unable to actually navigate the app, only see the live view. You have to back out and enter without the notification to navigate the app. It's also very laggy connecting, regardless the connection speed. If you do get an alert that someone is at your door, it will actually connect you once that person has already left. That needs to be adjusted, otherwise it's an ok app.

The Blink doorbells themselves are okay, the quality is decent and the price is good. However, this app does ruin a lot of the good. The notification system is garbage, I've had to reconnect the entire system once due to syncing issues. The most common issue you will get is "live view failed." However, a lot of the poor reviews is because they are using the incorrect batteries. You MUST use 1.5 volt lithium batteries or you will encounter constant connection issues. There is a reason for this.

The app was working fine until today. My blink mini went offline. When I finally got it back online with the motion sensor working, the camera will no longer take live video. The app simply closes and says there is a bug in the app and the developer needs to fix it. Nice job. It was good, now it's not. So... 1 star. I'd give it zero if I could.

Can't delete multiple clips from my local storage. Also, whenever the alert is triggered (motion detected), clicking on the alert takes you to the initial landing screen and not to the clip itself. Hitting back key to get to the options of reviewing the clip exits the app. So when i get an alert, i need to open the app to see it instead of just hitting alert message and viewing the clip that way. Annoying!

Easy to navigate and set up I find. Works great for the most part, haven't really had any issues so far and I have 3 cameras setup. One suggestion I have is that I wish you could reset saved clips as unwatched (as in returning the little orange dot beside the clip) which I feel would be handy for people like me who have multiple users watching the cameras and captured clips

I thought it was my phone but it looks like everyone is having the same issues as me. As soon as I updated the app, the live view keeps crashing and it keeps getting logged off. I already deleted and reinstalled it and it still has the sMe issues. I know it's not the signal. Everything else on my phone works well. I think it's time to shop around. Why am I paying for a subscription that doesn't even work. SMH

Super inconsistent! Sometimes, I can pull up a camera and see/hear just fine. But every time I actually NEED the camera - like to review some activity while I'm out, or to communicate with someone in another space, or after an alert while the system is armed, it gives me 1-2 seconds of live video/audio then it freezes, and crashes. Rebooting the app accomplishes nothing. Cameras are cool, but app strangles their effectiveness, and is quite infuriating.

Blink used to be great. I'm having the same issues another review had stated about no live feeds and keeps crashing despite new batteries and updated. I keep getting an error message "Blink closed because the app has a bug." I have 4 outside and 3 inside for almost 2 yrs and pay for a subscription. Motion also not being detected as before and no changes were made in settings. Sent developer an email. Waiting for a response. Please fix and I'll update my review.

I bought the chime with 2 outdoor camers less than a month ago and minor issues.. The app is not the easiest use and is and still picks up areas that I've grayed out. But I was basically happy and was about to order 4 more because of the charges. I purchased these to replace my Ring which was awful. I loved that they didn't run off wifi because I live on the 2nd floor. Right before my trial ends they are going back.

Lag response and app is faulty. The first day was great, but that was where it ended. I get notifications but do not see updated videos. I also don't get the point of the periodic photos. Garbage app. Too many glitches. There are periods that it stops picking up motion. So bizarre.

A great app with the blink cameras a must have clear sound, clear , great vision. Mountable anywhere. Has alot of great settings that enables just about any and every possibility that you would want to use with your camera and app while viewing to being alerted, 2 way speaking great audio and vision. Really can't go wrong plenty of options to choose from such as color, completely wireless, battery powered that last 2 years, to hard wiring I to your electric. Best thing is you can view your home

Worked great the past 3 years. I changed my internet to Google fiber and ever since then the module is ALWAYS offline. The speed and Mbps are up to standard but the module is always kicking off line. Been going on for about 6 months now and the last 3 it won't reconnect. I've tried everything. Resetting GF, reseting the Blink module, changing batteries etc. Nothing has worked. The firmware is 4.4.8 but shows minimal wifi connection. 😑 super frustrating!

This app is wonderful. A little lag time on the live feed but otherwise love it. I especially love the new pause feature. Being able to pause for a short time period is so much better than us turning it off and then forgetting to turn it on when we are working outside or someone is coming in and out of the house I also like being able to pause just 1 camera rather than all. We have had our cameras for over 3 years and minimal battery change. Approximately 1 once a year. Great work team!

Yesterday the app had the ability to temporarily pause the cameras. Today it's gone. Why is the android version so different than the iPhone version? On my wife's iPhone I can delete clips by swiping. On Android I have to start playing the clip in order to hit the delete button. It's time consuming and irritating. Is it so hard for the developers to be consistent? Would not recommend.

Absolutely worthless. 100% waste of money. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Cannot use live views at all, much less to talk to someone at the door, as the system crashes immediately upon trying to do so. Notifications are delayed by over 10 minutes at times. I feel like my money spe t on this and the subscription has simply been stolen from me by Amazon.

Reasonable happy with a basic cctv. Set up easy, quality hd is good to. The reason the two stars is if you don't want to pay the subscription charge ( like me) you can use a usb for local cloud but have to plug into a PC to view motion detection video. Would it be not to much to ask to include motion detection video included in the non subscription offer or have the local cloud usb to motion detection loaded straight onto the blink app instead of waiting to get home to plug the usb into a pc

Sync module doesn't work as advertised. Cannot pull up the clips. If I select a clip to play, it always gives a "failed to load" message. Everything is hooked up properly. The fault is either the sync module, this app, or both. I should have trusted the reviews left about the sync module, but assumed it was user error, it's not. My advice is to not buy it or trust it.

What a scam. This app is so inconsistent it makes for a frustrating time. Always looses connection with the main base, and when trying to view live feed it force closes and states that there are bugs. And don't even try to change your password, it will reset everything, that is if it doesn't give you an error message stating "unable to change password communication error." What a constant PAIN IN THE @$$.

Setting up my system was very easy. However, either the app or outdoor camera firmware seems to have a bug. Every time I try to use love view using the "Best" video quality, the app crashes until I get a system message telling me to update the app as soon as the developers issue a fix. Luckily I just got this and have time to troubleshoot and use the free trial, but if this cannot be fixed, back to Costco they go.

Have had the system (3 outdoor wireless cams, 1 indoor cam) for about 2 years. For in the recommendation of a neighbor. Worked great. Good image quality. Have suggested it to several people. HOWEVER, in the last month or so CANNOT use live view on any of the cameras. It constantly fails, then crashes the app. App is up to date, 3 bars signal strength, new batteries installed. Still no go for live view.
