Blip Blip (hourly chime)

I tried to give it at least 3 starts but it stopped working again. 1st time I disabled the sharks for a day and then enabled them again, they didn't chime after the disable. I uninstalled and reinstalled, worked great, and then on the next day after the reinstall, no alarms sounded. Sad. Has potential. Great return it works but I need consistency and confidence that it will work.

I got this app to remind me to stand and move every 30 minutes and added it to my Galaxy S9. It has several features that are easy to set. I used the ship bell sound. Some of the other sounds such as the gong did not sound loudly enough on my phone. You are also able to set the app to start and end working on any particular day and to be silent at certain times. I have it sounding every 30 minutes during my waking day so I don't get too lethargic and sit on my you-know-what for hours on end.

Excellent app, it really changed my perception of time and made me more prouductive throughout the day. Knowing how much time has passed since I started an activity helps me expedite tasks and prevents me from getting distracted too much time. I'm considering paying for the full app in order to change the sound to a custom one, but it is a great app even in the free version.

Works as advertised. I appreciate the flexible silent time. I use the app to remind me to get up and move every hour during my work days. I don't want it chiming at other times and it doesn't. I have some mild hearing loss and I can't hear the blip or casio sounds over the background noise at work. The ship bell is ideal. I'm happy the app has multiple choices for sound.

I've tried out a bunch of these timer apps recently. For me the main feature I was looking for was for the app to not interrupt audiobooks and podcasts. This app is able to pause audio, and resume after the sound plays, which is perfect for me. The main features I feel this app are missing, which would make it pretty much perfect for me, are: - Ability to play a custom sound - Ability to choose precise reminder durations Currently this app only allows you to use one of several preset reminder durations. I use the 20 minute one, but I'd like to use an odd number like 23, to allow the time to drift away from the "on-the-hour" bell. I find the Ships Bell sound in the app to be acceptable, but I'd much rather be able to supply my own custom sound. Thanks :)

Other people must be getting very different result with this alarm than I got. I'm using a note 9 with Pie. Key issues. 1. I cannot here a sample of the sound when I select it. I'd like to be able to choose from the available alarms but the sounds don't play at the time I select them. If I want to hear what an alarm sounds like I have to set an interval wait until the alarm goes off... which brings me to the bigger issue: 2. The alarm is so quiet that most of the time I don't even hear it, even when set at the highest volume. 3. A more minor issue: I cannot set my own alarm sounds. The only reason I'm not leaving 1 start is because this clearly this works for some people, so maybe there's just an issue with my note 9.

A very practical app. As a student, it helps me stay focused on tasks such as studying. My only criticism is that it doesn't have any options for chimes every 2 minutes or 3 minutes; just for once every 1 minute and once every 5 minutes, which is a pretty big gap, in my opinion. I think I would appreciate the ability to manually alter the time between chimes as opposed to having to pick one of the preset times.

This is a great app as it is reliable, but I really wish instead of a silent time period, I could set an active time period. Literally just the opposite of setting the silent time - you set the active time, and it only blips during that time window. Here is my use case: I set a really quiet chime between 6am and 730am. I don't hear it if I'm sleeping, but if I'm awake and hear it, then I know that I don't have time for another REM cycle. Sometimes I want to wake up a little later or a little earlier, and it's not very intuitive to set that time range with a 22.5 hour 'silent time'. If this feature could be worked into a future release, I will change it to 5 stars!

This app is working perfectly for me. I appreciate all the ways it can be customized. I'm glad I didn't get turned off by the reviews from people who are not having a good experience. Perhaps it would help if people mentioned what device they are using, particularly if they are having problems. My device is getting old: Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, Android 9.

ALMOST PERFECT. How I wish it had a different half hour beep/chime. I have it set to beep every half hour but because the beeps are the same Im never sure if its the hour or half hour though it does make me aware of the passage of time. It has a DND window which doesnt coincide with the system but thats not a big issue. It has a lot of configurable settings too but the best thing is that it works and works reliably. Add in a different half hour chime and this would definitely be 5 stars!

I'm a trucker and I use an 8inch Android tablet as my GPS and Waze in split screen mode. I bought a Bluetooth speaker to amplify the sound from the tablet but the speaker kept timing out over long trips with no activity. I set BlipBlip to 20minute intervals and set the BlipBlip volume so low I can't hear it. Now the speaker stays on all the time it's connected! Thanks BlipBlip!

Very useful and reliable app. Does what it's supposed to do. Be sure to try all five of the sounds. On my Samsung S8 the two Ship's Bell choices were best. Blipblip and Casio were too quiet to be noticed. Developer was very responsive in suggesting settings to try to make those two louder but I ended up using ship's bell. Very satisfied.

So far so good I installed to use 1 to 5 minute a reminder for where I set my phone cause I move around with it a lot snd and set it down to work on things. Might even look into the Advanced features that may be purchased which seem pretty useful for customizing alarm sounds or anoucements of timed events or multiple a events and talking alarm time all seem pretty cool. Nice design. Plain and simple and understandable. Was going good but lost icon and could not shut off blip blip had to uninstal

Very simple, reliable and highly configable. Does exactly what it claims. For some reason the devs stopped short of allowing for any interval (2 hours or 6 minutes). You're stuck with 60, 30, 30, 15, 5, 10 or 1. Even in the advanced options.

Awesome app! I use it instead of my watch beep since my watch runs a little slow. I use the "repeat every minute" and "time offset" options while I'm setting the watch so I hope you'll keep those settings as they're very useful. Overall a great app, maybe add an option to pick your own sound and it would be perfect.

Very limited capabilities. Can set only one chime. Can choose from only six built-in sounds with no capability to use other sound files. According to the description, you can add those capabilities by getting the paid version but I don't see that available within the app or in the Play Store.

Best chime app I've found yet! No delays. Simple and works perfectly. Thank you for making this available to us. Don't know if others agree but I think a custom interval feature would be pretty cool, for example, the option of 15 min chimes instead of 1 hour.

I love this app. I use the ship's bell. Lately it's been turning off and failing to notify me. This is caused by the latest update to my phone which 'optimized' Blip Blip without permission. I adjusted the settings and fixed the glitch.

Would like to use notification sounds already available on my phone. Love the minimalism. I was looking for a very minimalistic water reminder app, that simply chimed on the hour but there aren't any that don't include needing to log or throwing something up on the screen. At least not that I could find.

Fantastic and intuitive, a great free app. Daytime, I use it to mark the passing hour. After dark, I set it to every 15 minutes - so, if I fall asleep while working on my PC, it soon wakes me. Love the sound options, esp.double ship's bell, sounds just like a boxing round bell. ;)

It's useful, but I wish it could vibrate my galaxy watch. I need the physical reminder of time passing. I've played with the settings a lot, and it looks like it might do that on certain watches, but I'd really love to see an update that will pop up on my kind of watch. I've enabled it on my watch settings and everything.

Nice it seems to have and do everything I need it to. I wanted a buzzer to keep me focused on passage of time. It wasn't obvious at first but I found out you can add a message to the notification too which is great. Can't think of anything more this app could need.

i work as a delivery driver, i set it to chime every 15mins so i can check if any new deliveries are ready to while i sit in the car and watch youtube. now i can relax and enjoy content and not worry about forgetting to check and being late. app seems well done. super simple, straight forward to setup. many options in settings to setup for your preferences.

I like how this app has no ads and is completely free. I could not give it five stars because sometimes the chime does not sound. Nonetheless, this app does have enough functionality that it has helped increase my efficiency with my time management by sounding more often than not at the top of the hour.

Love this app. It simply and unobtrusively helps me be more aware of time passing, which helps keep me on task. If I could make one request, it would be to be able to have 2 or 3 different blips. For example, I would love to have one sound on the hour and another sound on the half hour or 15 minute mark.

Simple, beeps at regular intervals. Does its job well. Hasnt crashed the phone. Remember to exclude it from 'sleeping apps' in your phone's battery or similar settings.

great app! love this, I was looking out for hourly chime in alarm clocks but hardly any has that , despite so many alarm clocks available. On this one chimes can be set to repeat every minute, 5 minutes, 10,15,20,30. awesome. very light weight non intrusive.my only complaint is battery usage is on higher side.
