FAQ:
* What information is this app collecting on me? No personal information is collected from the device at all.
* Why can't I see my station? To reduce the load on the device, stations are clustered when the map zoom is very small. By zooming the map in, more stations may be visible. To always show a certain station, hold down on the station's icon until the device vibrates. That will set it to always be visible.
* Ports The following ports are used; Radar: 4550, Lightning: 8050-8090

The app used to work really well and used to work in the UK without any issues. Other apps have shown storms and lightning strikes in the UK, however this app doesn't where as the Blitzortung website does. Not worth using this app if you live in the UK which is a shame. Hopefully this will be "fixed" by the developers in the future.....
Doesn't work at all anymore, displays nothing but a map. That's a pity because I really loved this app, by far the best in its category. The web version is kind of unusable on a phone.
It doesn't show anything any more I used to use this when I was a Wildland firefighter and we found several hot spots. But lately it just shows the screen with the mile circles.
Generally quite useful. The major issue I have is the tiny square lightning icons that are VERY difficult to see in bright light, particularly when the radar overlay is enabled. PLEASE offer an option for larger, more visible markers! Thank you.
Only got a star because you can't post without one. Was excellent in the UK now shows nothing. Even when there's a storm overhead very poor.. Shame was a really good app save your self time don't bother with this one!
At startup it shows the most recent lightning strikes in the area. However it finished updating it doesn't show any new strikes but it does remove old lightning strikes. When viewing the web site it does show new lightning strikes on the map. There is something wrong with the application where it doesn't read the arrival of new lightning strikes in the Android app. The refresh for lightning isn't working when the app is up and running but it does work well for the radar image.
Just installed, and testing, but looking good,..so I give 5 stars,..I've noticed that this app shows the weather in the USA, but not in the UK, and sometimes it takes ages for the information to load, and sometimes i just give up waiting and just close the app..jus cleared the cache, it working,is,..just had lightning 10 minutes ago, but not showing on app,..ive come to the conclusion that its to unreliable to be of any use, uninstall I now give 1 star 🌟
In the US, but the lightning strikes still work, but for a while the radar overlay hasn't worked. Ahhh, it's because the app uses Weather Underground so no more API to call for that data. Plus this app hasn't been updated in two years sooo.. abandonware??
Very well-selected principles of operation. Nothing on the screen needs interpretation, the lightning strikes are shown clearly relative to landmarks and with an intuitive intensity display. Kudos.
Must be missing something obvious, but not showing any strikes compared with Blitzortung website, even when setting all options to maximum. Pretty but non functional for me.
It quit working. First, radar quit a while back but lightning strikes still showed just fine. Now recently lightning quit working too.. app is now useless. Uninstalling.
Not bad, but isn't this app supposed to show where LIGHTNING STRIKES? Looks like a regular map to me. There's a litteral thunderstorm brewing outside. I even saw lightning for my own eyes. BUT WHERE IS IT ON THE MAP? Edit: Ok, its useless. I'm uninstalling

Australia - another app notified me of lightning, This app,.....nothing. I'll stick with the other. Only useful thing is that it shows where the lighting/weather stations are in my area.
Doesn't show UK storms It used to work but despite showing storms over continental Europe it has stopped showing storms over the UK. I know from Facebook reports and from the lightningmaps web site that there are storms but this app doesn't show them.
Nothing showed up on app and we had thunder and lightning few mins ago. Can hear rumbles again, nothing on map
Very unreliable (certainly in the UK). Doesn't load anything these days (15/05/2022).
This app used to be good but not anymore, sorry... when opening the app you will have to wait an unknown amount of time before any strike information is shown. Latency will be blank then suddenly it will start working.
Just back from Spain where I got app on phone. Worked very well & gave us good warning of approaching storms developing in Med Sea. Strikes showing within 1-2 seconds. Easy to use & accurate.
Mid storm. Watching the lightening strikes all around us hearing the thunder and nothing showing on the app at all. Used to be my go to app but not if it doesn't work
Does not work anymore in the UK, this app used to be really good, now it does not work full stop I am currently in the middle of a thunder storm and the app is not registering any lightening strikes? If I could give it zero stars I would
Used to be great but no longer effective in the UK and no longer very good in continental Europe either. Recently sat among storms around Geneva, the app registered less than 5% of strikes, the website however as effective as ever - a real shame.
Not good. Just downloaded it as we have lots lightening moving across channel this evening, watching it like fireworks on other app. Opened this app, and nothing???? Checked all settings , all OK, but this app shows zilch!! Nothing??? So what's the point of this app when it's lit up like a fireworks display in the channel but this app shows a lovely day ???? Will give it an hour or so to sort itself out, or i'll uninstall as its useless.. it's a bit like Radar24 nott showing planes !!!!
