BlockerX is an effective internet blocker for Android phones. It can also help you keep kids away from adult content. -System alert window:
-This permission is needed to open up an alert window when a blocked website / app is opened. This app uses the system alert window permission (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) for this purpose.

Me and my partner just downloaded it right now. It works fine, was a little confusing to figure out at first. I wish the buddy system worked better, like having an alert that your buddy tried looking up blocked websites and keyboards. Another thing I hate it is that you can just uninstall it whenever without your buddy be alerted at all. Please fix those things.
Well, the app is working just fine with it's main purpose; blocking unwanted websites. I just experienced one issue when i tried one test in it. After i answered all questions and pushed submit to view results, it didn't go anywhere and no results were shown!!
It's a good an on Samsung phones predominantly. It's very glitchy and HORRIBLE on other Samsung devices other than phones. WINDOWS VERSION IS USELESS for this app. I had to reach out to customer service constantly figuring out the problem and that's the thing ITS ONLY USEFUL ON SAMSUNG PHONES PREDOMINANTLY. Good news is they are looking to fix those issues however only update the beginning and the end or the year(likely). I am mixed on this it can change eventually FOR:⚠️SAMSUNG PHONES ONLY⚠️
This ia a great blocker app or atleast better than other applications available on playstore , But it is very rigid or can be described as laggy it takes time to load the interface has somehow improved and looks good but the login and sign-up had a lot of issues but as of for a blocker it does its work precisely. It still has a lot of bugs needed to be fixed and smooth running of the app makes a lot of difference so plz look into it and improve the app and make it work smoothly
It's pretty good, but blockerx can easily be bypassed using a third party vpn. Its a really easy workaround and you need to make this harder somehow. I contacted support about this but was told that stopping people using third party software is not something they can do. But maybe you can make blockerx block third party Vpns from connecting? Or block all internet when another von is detected? Also, when I add a website to the whitelist or stop blockerx it still blocks.
I accidentally clicked on the image search blocker and I wanted to enable it for my studies but there was no way for me to do it because even if I type the red texts exactly as it says, the app still tells me that the texts are not working. This app turned from a function to a disability real quick.
I like this app you can add additional procrastination sites like reddit, 9gag or YouTube. My only pet peeve is that the app stops working periodically, which gets fixed by a restart. Unfortunately that gives a lot of time to procrastinate and it becomes much harder to cut out the dopamine association my phone has
Amazing app in this field!! It knows it's job that how to keep a person stay away from his/her addiction like if you have Po*n addiction then it provides you a po*n blocker that is very accurate that you can't search a single 18+ image, video, website etc. You can also enable it on social media apps like Facebook, Instagram etc. It also has contains leaderboard, streak, a community and many more features that will be very helpful for an addict person to beat his/her addiction. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Hard to set up. This app is really hard to work, you change a lot of settings but the sites you choose to block still works. The app BlockSite is a lot easier to use, unfortinely it is does not work in my smartphone anymore.
I installed the app and it's working good so far but I have 1 concern. You see I am a fan of the British new wave/post punk, The Cure. Unfortunately this app will not let me read the Wikipedia page of their fourth studio album (which I will not name) and its a little disappointing because I'm trying to buy the record for my vinyl collection
The app works well on my phone, but I paid a lot of money for the lifetime subscription and the Windows app does not work. When trying to install the .exe file, I get the error "This app can't run on your PC, to find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher". I am simply running windows 10, and I tried running the installation in compatibility modes for Windows 7 and 8 with no luck. This is an oversight that the developers should remedy or partially refund the subscription.
My son was able to uninstall it. When I tried reinstalling it it kept saying my email was invalid. I logged off of my phone's account and tried reinstalling it and it said the same thing. Very upset I just renewed my membership and it doesn't work now. :(
App is good, but the ads are really annoying and difficult to skip. Also the premium membership is expensive, I'd have gone for it if it was cheaper.
Blockerx functionality has improved but there are so many bugs. It keeps on crashing and hanging. I have made even videos. Premium doesn't worth it now.
Helpful, but needs work. When you add a Buddy it let's you unlock more settings but to turn any off you have to either wait 24 hours! (Too long if you make a mistake like turning notification draw off or banning the wrong browser.) Otherwise great 8/10 - only those features need work.
More than once, this app has been disabled without input from me or my partner. I paid for the 2 years premium and it's ridiculous that it can be disabled remotely through a glitch on the developer's end. Emails are supposed to be sent for blocks; they haven't for months. Yesterday out of nowhere the blocker was completely turned off. When the app actually works, it's decent, but honestly I think there's better out there.
I paid $124 for Blockerx Premium on 10/2020. It worked fine until 2.5 weeks ago. I notifed Blockerx customer support who then said that they will need to forward the case to their tech team. I then get a message from them saying "were glad to inform you that our team has fixed the issue." Over the last 2.5 weeks ive gone through this process 3 TIMES. It doesnt get fixed and its all the same. I want a FULL REFUND!!!!! ***If I don't get a refund I will have to escalate this to Google App Store***
The app is great. It's got many free features. Just one problem, it sometimes doesn't work in my phone so I have to erase the data reset it.
My phone is Huawei, I found one gap where the app is no longer blocking. I already communicated with the support team but without a solution. And I asked for a refund, but they ignored my request. If I did not get my refund, I would escalate it to Google Play. Finally, I don't recommend the app to Huawei users.
Used to be the best qpp, but now it keeps shutting off automatically. Even at the high subscription rate , the developer doesn't fix the app , even after many requests
This app is great and has a lot of good features for someone like me. I like the way the app is organized and welcoming, it makes it seem like im not alone. I do however wish the "block me" widget could be overlayed over certain screens. I would like to have it over my browser just in case it gets to that point of no return. Idk if that's a premium feature or something tho. Great app anyway!!
