I like the characters and the whole blood magic setup is really cool. I wish it would be explored a bit more, but the setting is very unique and fascinating. I'd like to explore the stigma behind blood magic a bit more as well. My biggest criticism is the ending, which feels very sudden. I didn't think it was properly foreshadowed, and it was over way too quickly.
So if I could give this a 4.5 star rating, that's what I would give it. Anyways, I thought this game was great. I loved the characters, setting, and plot. I liked the challenges brought up from taking out the rivals, electing someone for mayor, etc. The only problem, which I see many people didn't like either, is that the ending feels a little rushed. It's good at the end, don't get me wrong, but the 2nd to last chapter was very chaotic and came out of nowhere. Other than that, great game 8½/10.
This game was truly amazing! The choices actually affected the story and there many diverging paths that you could take! I love that your family plays such a huge role in the game and you get to decide whether or not you will support the family business or rebel against it! Very refreshing to see strong female characters throughout the game that don't feel unnatural or forced but are written in a believable way. Also this game offers tons of replay value, I've played it a dozen times and am still finding new things!
Would've been nice to have the option to confirm some choices but overall, this was a great one from Choice of Games! The writing was good and the characters were interesting enough. The premise and plot was well-done and although the ending felt a little rushed, I had a lot of fun playing!
Not a terrible game, but DEFINITELY NOT worth the money! Story is okay, was a great idea, but not well executed. Just felt like my choices were restricted and hard to understand the consequences of the choices before you make them (even in situations where you SHOULD know what would happen.). If this game were 2 dollars or less, maybe.
One of the better choice games. Endings dont have all that much diversity for the main storyline, but the B plots do change. You can play a lot of different ways as well so it has high replay value.
Didn't really care for it. Tried twice before to finish the story since it came out, finally did. Felt like choices didn't matter. Got to the point I was just flipping through skipping the narrative just so I could finish.
I would totally recomend this story, a thrilling plot that you can easily immerse yourself into, a lot of different paths to explore and perhaps most importantly, many different endings.
The Story was disjointed at points, seeming to want to hop between scenes without much happening between them to paint the character relationships in much of a way. Still, it was an enjoyable experience and we'll worth the six dollars.
Great game!! Was definitely teary eyed; sad Luis wasn't a romantic option, tho... That would've been great, also to be able to ask all questions in a scenario before making a decision, rather than asking one question and that being the outcome.
I actually purchased this book. This story struck me as a mafia type family set-up with a blood magician slant. The world building is the best part about this game. The ideas introduced, the relationships between everyone in game, so much was done right. I felt that the ending was rushed.Aside from that one minor flaw this is a decent game. I was a female that romanced Nico the doctor in game. I felt that the arguments about too much SJW were completely unfounded this time. I enjoyed this story
Awesome story that continues to drag me back for more. Well wrttien and properly fleshed out world that is a delight to inhabit for a time. I look forward to more from the author.
An Old Dog Getting New Tricks, YES PLEASE! I do hope that this becomes a trend. I do reread some games just like a good book, but nothing going to get me more interested then new content.
I really enjoyed how you could go about the situations you found yourself in this one and plan on going through it again pretty soon. Just a fun world and story that I left happy ^_^
The writing wasn't bad, it was just...a tad boring. I'm all for inclusivity but it felt like every character was some buff woman or a non gendered person, which isn't representative of real life..
The story is very well written, but after some choices there are weird cuts to text, that aren't explained.
I absolutly love the different ways that you can go through this game. I love that the achievments kind of tell you what can be possible for the game. And the fact that you added more stuff with this lattest update is just genious 😍😍😍💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 I can't tell you how much I actually enjoy this game.
Very innovative concept. The story was really wonderful, I recommend buying it it's really worth it!
I absolutely love the story, and they just released an update to the game which I can't wait to explore. Thank you Choice of Games! 💜🖤💙❤
Loved it. Choice of Games has a lot of fantastic stories, and this is one which will teach you something about yourself.
Rich setting and wonderful characters. I really enjoyed this interactive fiction.
Loved the setting of the story, interesting characters, captivating plot. 10/10
I loved it And all i can say is blood money is so underrated i enjoyed it to say the least Great writing good character introduction and development Good plot and theme
Sad waste of a good concept. It's screams, inclusive (in a rather obnoxious manner) and fails to realize that a compelling story is about character development NOT pronouns and forced fem-power. NOT worth $5.99 in my opinion.
my favourite choice of game of allll timee so many different paths you can be evil neutral or good a lot of character development
Very fun and good mafia game, just felt a tad rushed towards the end but still super enjoyable
Love it. The price should be lowered though in my opinion. Not worth that much. But still good.
the first game that got me into choice of games/hosted games, absolutely love it!
Felt very railroaded, and the few important choices I got to make were ruined by seemingly random stat barriers, failing checks that should rely on one stat but apparently tie to another. The plot seems very loosely built, and changes at the whim of the author. They seem to expect you to betray the family, if you do not the story treats it as if you should be. The premise is great and there is a lot of potential in the plot, but it feels like I only enjoyed the worldbuilding, not the game.
