This is a stellar application for actually reading Businessweek. I absolutely love it, and it may be the best magazine app I've used. BUT, it doesn't always work. I've run into multiple issues with actually loading new issues in and making them available in a timely manner, and get very frustrated with it.
Hasn't worked right since Maz took over. absolute garbage, never works right. Constant uninstall, reactivate, etc. then promptly crashes. They've had years to figure it out. I've lost my patience. Switched to The Economist. An app that works the first time with no worries. bye bye Bloomberg.
biggest issue is that new issues do not show up on the app . Second problem is that downloading an issue doesnt fully load all the content for offline use. I still have to load all the articles once to ensure text and other elements are visible. This makes it troublesome for use on the subway or airplane. update: i cant even download issues for offline viewing with v2.5.3
Nice app when it works. Latest annoying bug is the download for offline reading feature doesn't work. I'm a print subscriber but use the offline reading feature of app when on airplanes without needing wifi. Basically app only working with wifi and no download feature which just sits there forever downloading and never really downloading anything.
App's UI and content are top notch. I only wish the app worked. Am unable to download content for offline reading. I've re-installed the app multiple times and finally sent an email to the feedback email provided. Will update review based on service.
The app has a serious glitch where new issues and even past issues won't load. One has to uninstall the app and reinstall in order for it to work properly again.. Also, I would like to have the In Brief section as in the print version, I don't understand why it's missing in the app?
New issues do not show up automatically; pictures take time to load. I like the ability to take magazine offline and the horizontal bar that shows how much I have read.
No stars. Not able to download new issues since May. It takes 18 days for their support team to reply with an answer "Our team has looked into the downloading issue and you can soon expect a minor app update for the fix" If I understand correctly, Bloomberg have this outsourced, so the content is good, but the app stinks and I've had numerous problems using. Bloomberg should change their service provider as soon as possible.
A good app when it works but it periodically will stop downloading content and then I have to delete it and add it back in and start all over. It has been this way for months and still no fix. Really Business Week? Is this the best you can do?
I paid for subscription have android. can't cancel. app instructions are for iPhone. sometimes had to restore subscription not easy. content is ok but not great. app is poorly designed for android. already wasted too much time.
Woeful, buggy app. Maz Software are useless and cannot fix their continual bugs. New editions appear, but when you click on the cloud icon they never completely download. Pathetic!
0/10 It's a scheme. There is no regular content updates. I can reach only to 2 months old covers. Even the content doesnt look full with the printed version. No one answers my mails.. Couldnt reach anyone to request a refund. Bloomberg shouldnt outsource this type of things to unknown companies.
Getting better but still has issues where cache has to be cleared and re-login to subscription for the app to work again. This happens roughly every month.
Magazines aren't updating. I still haven't been able to download the new magazines even though it should be out. I always have to delete the app and login again for it to update.
Content is great! Super frustrating that the app frequently doesn't download new issues, and offline issues can just not load.
Crashes, can't download, keeps kicking me out though I'm subscribed. Hasn't worked properly in over a year.
Bloomberg is great but this app is not. Constantly have to reenter my subscription info to gain access. Buggy. Makes Bloomberg look like they are wasting money on this instead of more reporters.
Very buggy. I have to reinstall the app on a weekly basis, otherwise it wont download the latest issue. Please fix this app.
This app is amazingly unstable. Downloading an issue almost never works and I constantly have to reset the cache
It's always overridden by ads and upgrade prompting. I have other free apps that aren't so desperate.
Addiction to reading the news, information, is what this app is about. Something to read that's valuable and can be seen as a global force in the world economy Bloomberg Businessweek is on the cutting edge of media and information delivery. The app is a must have.
I am a digital and print subscriber. I was happy to learn that I could download a few whole issues before my flight!
App keep crashing, using the latest Android phone with 256gb of storage still doesn't work.
horrible program...no way to delete and I never asked for it on my device. Very annoying!!!
Often have to reinstall the app to receive the most recent magazine - a problem that persist for a few years now
need to uninstall and then install again to get new issues. selling the subscription but not providing the corresponding service
The "offline mode" for this app never works properly. Half the time I tell it to download an issue and I think it has, but then later when I'm offline the issue hasn't downloaded. And even after it says it's downloaded, half the articles still require an internet connection to read. Makes it impossible to rely on this app for reading on a plane or subway. I might as well just get the print version.
