Blossom - Smart Watering

Whoever programmed this app must have been a rookie. The device can not reconnect if it loses connection once. The app has trouble syncing. Once every few weeks I have to log out and log back in just to make it work (which gives you an idea of the quality of coding). When it disconnects, you never get notified. One time it disconnected and never let me know and my lawn wasn't even watered for over a month! Wifi puck is 7 ft from device, constantly loses connection. Have to unplug it weekly :(

It appears this app has been replaced by "Gro Connect" by Scotts, and the new app was not communicated to users.. Download the nee app and log in using these credentials. Then, when connecting or reconnecting your device, there is a little tiny option at the bottom of the screen that says "Connect Legacy Blossom device". Select that link and follow the instructions. I was able to get mine to work again!

Horrible app. Great device. App constantly loses connection to the base controller unit. Was stuck outside after coming home from work today and couldn't get the app to connect and turn off the sprinklers. Had the choice of standing outside in the heat waiting for 30 minutes after driving home in traffic for an hour (or sit in my car), or walk thru the sprinklers in my work clothes (I work in an office). I walked thru and got drenched. Thanks Blossom for failing on your basic job. 😖

Weather doesn't seem to matter. Emailed the developer email listed for the app requesting a feature and it was returned with a note that it was marked as spam. (It was sent from my personal domain email account, so it definitely seems intentional). I guess I will be looking at the RACHIO system in the near future.

I wonder if they have ever tried to use their app and cloud services? It waters when it rains. The scheduler would be awesome if it worked - the issue i have, there is no symmetry between individual zone time setting and schedule setting, even when their zones even have the same configuration. i have zones to go on, but it decided not to run those 2 zones, why?

the water sense feature doesn't work at all, and they don't tell you how it's calculating the time. some zones are 4 mins while others are like 42... doesn't make any sense. also the history of watering is awful. is this app even being updated anymore or did they abandon this thing. thanks for wasting my money!

Your software isn't ready for prime time. First of - no reason why my 'create login' didn't work. After repeated attempts I used a longer password and it worked. No prompt or reason why it failed prior. Second, verifying email address opens app. But the app just sits there... Update -- when verifying email address use internet browser not the app. Issue#2 -- can't sync or.get blossom to connect even after switching wifi back and forth

Unbelievably bad. We had a unit donated to our Restore, so I needed to test it out before we tried to sell it. Installed the app on three different devices using two different email addresses. Couldn't even create an account. No wonder the owner dumped it. It's going in our recycle bin.

Smart watering appears to have stopped working. I also now get a warning that it was built for an older version of Android and may no longer work. Please at least recompile it so that it works with the new Android. And perhaps update your API keys for your weather sources.

This is completely defunct? Is there not another app that might be able to communicate with it or a way someone with the proper skills can create a new one? Gro connect is also discontinued. Sad the ball got dropped on so many who invested.

Worked fine on old phone, not great but at least I could water when I wanted too. Upgraded phone and now can't use the app or device I paid for. Very disappointing!

App all of a sudden stopped working. Only thing that it will do is already pre scheduled times. No way to adjust at the moment. Tried uninstalling the app and now I can't log back in. Almost like there server is down. If something changes I will update my review.

Used to be great! Now the calendar is a month off. Smart watering doesn't work any more. When I make changes to schedule they don't update. Used to be good, now it needs some help. Please fix!

They haven't updated this app in 4yrs but the app is required to use the Blossom watering panel. Makes me mad that I spent the money. Last two years I've battled to even get it to work at all. This year this far no luck and I need to water my lawn and garden. 😡

choose solid green. connect to the blossom. go back to the app. nothing happens. the light stays solid. have reset the device. have reinstalled the app multiple times. crappy app. last edites in december 17. no wonder its junk

Have to regularly delete all cache and re auth to get to work. The device is ok, if I power cycle the device I may get a warning about it being offline but the app is not able to communicate with the servers.

I thought it was an app that helps a person know how much water plants need and how often. My mistake, this apps name is the same as "blossom plant care"/ identification app. This is not a database, but a subscription service You need to log in, create an account. It does give you an option to download a guide. But! that takes you to the Scott grass seed company! Lol.

This product no longer works, waste of money. Do not buy this product. Used to work great but no longer works. Last time I invest in a company that just goes under without warning you first.

isn't very user friendly. connecting your phone can be quite difficult. frustrating as there are no manual buttons for back up

Spoke to customer support today. They walked me through how to reset the system at my new house and get the app up and running. I'll give it five stars when I see that the system starts watering and works properly.

Hello fellow cheapskate cry babies! Look for the Gro Connect App. Choose legacy blossom. It still is very buggy and water sense is broken but it will make your legacy blossom work again. You are welcome!

I can't set up a password on my Samsung. This app no longer works on my wife's IPhone at all. I am getting rid of the blossom controller today and would highly suggest nobody should ever bye it at all. It is garbage.

Cannot get past the email verification step in the app. "Support" takes you to a frequently asked questions website. Its obvious they have stopped support for this service and I now own a bricked device.

I hate this thing. It's been a year and it still is a hit and miss. I never know if all zones are going and sometimes it runs when it's not supposed to. JUNK!!!!

Scheduling no longer works and a new warning message shows when opening the app "version of app is for an older version of Android update app"
