BlowTorch now supports Portrait mode as well as Landscape mode!MUD/MUSH/MOO Servers are text based games that operate similar to terminal applications. A host name and port are used to connect a player to a game. Game servers can be found at http://www.topmudsites.com and http://www.mudconnect.com
Custom buttons are made through long pressing the window where you want the button to be. Buttons can be grouped onto pages by using button sets accessible through the MENU button.
Triggers can be extended by turning off "Literal" parsing. This will enable regular expression parsing for the entered pattern. Capture group text may be replaced in response actions by using $1,$2,$3, etc, where the number specified is the index of the captured group.

For the most part I would not suggest any other client than this one. The only thing that is a thumbs down is the app randomly "crashes" even though it really doesn't? After that happens if you do not completely close your connection window and open a new one the previously sent characters remain and it acts funny. Other than that it's great. Good job!
It's handy when it comes to playing MUDs. Works well for the one I play. Unfortunately, it crashes periodically and often loses my saved info (game and port, triggers, button sets, etc.) It's frustrating because of that. It's easy to use, but I have to set up buttons and triggers and the game access information several times a week.
Unstable and feature light. Barely any scripting and the features that do exist sometimes fail (e.g. timers rarely work when activated by script; triggers sometimes lose reactions, possibly not serialized/deserialized correctly and disappears after reload). Also, back up your configuration often! I lost mine twice in less than a month. That said, still super convenient way to enjoy your favorite MUD on the go.
Very good. Fluid, easy to use, highly customizable. Only problem is my world list keeps vanishing and I have to type in my worlds all over again, which is mildly annoying but isn't a big deal for me since I only play one or two MUDs frequently. Overall a very good client, better than all the others I've found on the Play Store.
App regularly forgets all mud data, this means you have to type in the site a port manually. If this could be fixed, and the cursor in the input line could be moved, it'd be a really great app. The customizable buttons are a huge plus and easy to edit.
Thank you for being user friendly. You get full stars just for that and respecting gamers who want to game not code, while still allowing for people to play around with more complex code tinkering. Something I would like to see in the near future is a UI feature where I can quickly enable or disable TTS. My prefered TTS is Vocalizer. Nothing complicated for the user, just something I click on or off. Keep up the great work!
Great client, no issues with connecting or functionality. My only gripe is that buttons on the main app screen, like creating a new connection, are not displaying right on Android 12. The app works but you get three buttons with no name and have to guess which is for opening a new connection.
I cannot use this client at all. I use a tablet device with an added braille display and keyboard, and this app does not allow me to easily read the text on my display. To me it looks like there's no text. I really would like to give this a higher rating, but it needs serious improvement for those of us who have screenreaders or braille displays.
I have the same complaint as Paul S. does. My connections just disappear for no apparent reason. I do know that adding the connection again will give access to the triggers and buttons made for it. Connection name must be same as before. Small consolation but it is a workaround. Please fix!!!
Dropping this to three stars because while this is my GO TO app on my phone on my chromebook its a POS. It drops long strings at random (its shorter than my damn phone) and doesnt let me copy and paste ANYTHING so I can work around it. I'm literally ordering a new windows notebook because I want to mush AND write and while the chromebook works fine for writing, it just does not work for this technology
I use this to play Materia Magica, and it's surprising how well it works on my basic phone. I really like the customizable action icons on the screen, and the ability to shift them around! Good job on the whole thing!
I wish you had built in mxp and msp support, and much of the time when I close the app, the world info for every world has to be input again because it disappears seemingly at random. Other than that, I appreciate the xterm color support.
Love this app. Tried several others for MUDs. This one is the best. Only issue for me is that the content of all my timers gets wiped out anytime the app is closed completely. Tried to visit the forums to see if they were of any help but the forums don't seem to exist anymore.
Easy to use, learn, let's you play MUD's easily on mobile, which I always thought was a terrible, terrible, idea. Often times I prefer mobile over playing on Mudlet on my laptop due to the ease of the button system.
The scripting function seems non-functional, or at least not documented enough to make it usable. If there is documentation someplace I would be happy to reassess my review but without that functionality this client is seriously lacking in functionality.
Incredibly simple client, and hasn't seen much love. Buttons on the front page are even missing text until clicked on.
Just perfect for text RPG games. Tried others but this one is perfect for mobile phones anf very friendly yo user.

Pretty good mud client. Comfortable idea with buttons 5*. Alias dont work with russian language in KIO8-R(send only ???), work well with numbers and english.
Why does this app have 3.8 stars? You low raters are ignorant. This is the best of all mud clients available on phone. Iphone options are even worse!! Be thankful this app exists!
It is working great for me. Very useable triggers for basic stuff for me so far. I'm sure it can do more.
at first it worked nicely, but after an hour it just broke down and crashed every second.
Needs an update for the newest version of android. Connect keeps crashing after 5 mins of connecting.
Every time I start it up, my saved connections are gone, along with all the programs (triggers, aliases, etc)
Cannot create buttons, help files don't show how because the app behavior doesn't match what is happening.
Knowing that a port number includes non-numeric input, (".", ":") why is there no way to input these for a new connection?
Good mid client for all your mudding needs. Has customized button overlay to just press to send you're created macros.
Amazing app for mudding on the go. Easily customizable and fun to use. Love it.
The best MUD client on mobile. It allows you to save multiple worlds, use on screen buttons and even the keyboard is not completely obscuring the screen like some other ones. It's main issue is it is not quite perfect and updates have stopped. Some times the game worlds will disappear. But a quick work around is simply using Notepad to store the worlds info there and then just put them back in. I never use the more technical stuff, but the basics at least work well. I'd give it 5* w/ updates.
