Bloxels EDU

Great for kids. Students 3rd grade and up really get into building and polishing up their games. Younger students grab the concepts as well, but often don't create as polished of games. Recommend for ages 8 and Up to get the most use out of everything they offer. The program is easy to use and learn. Lots of video tutorials to help. I have been teaching Bloxels since their early years. Bloxels has come a long way. Many great additions and always improving to add more.

I liked the game I got it as a gift a few years back and started to play with it when I got board. I didn't like that there way a paywall but it's not that much. I liked creating characters but there's one probl you can't put keys in enemies like a key in a boss to open a chest if you guys could fix that or explain how to do it I would happily 5 star it.

Well, I see the game creation aspect skyrocket with advancements, but you have to pay to even build it? You can't even playtest an idea, yet that's one of the biggest reasons this gaming app exists in the first place, so why wreck the educational experience for a subscription-based system, yes I get it. The company needs funding, but at least put ads instead.

It's fun and easy to use, and is worth it for what you pay. I already paid for it before the subscription system, so I don't need one. However, less people are using the app because of this new system. At least you can still play others' games. If you need money, that's fine, but making a subscription system ain't the way to do it.

The Bloxels kit was given to me as a gift, so I tried using it in the app. However, this was unsuccessful, as you need the subscription for full access, a.k.a. building with the kit. So not only do we have to buy the board, we have to pay more to use it. Overall a waste of my time, and there is no way for me to fix it. I am greatly disappointed.

I love bloxels. When I was younger I thought it was the coolest thing when it came out. But now you need a subcritition??? It really rubs me the wrong way and if this was a free game it would be an easy 5 stars but I don't see me playing the often enough to pay a subscribtion. Sadly this game will have stay a part of my past for now..

PLEASE make the codes work again!I had this game several years ago because we bought the physical set and had a code, and I was so exited to play it again, only to realize that the code I have didn't work.it said"this might be a valid edu code"and told me to go to the website.I did and it didn't work there either.if you don't want to let people use the app for"free"(after BUYING a set),at least make it work and put ads in there so you get money!I don't care how many ads there are if i can play:(

The game is super good. It lets you make your own designs for the characters, the blocks, even the background! The only problem is that you need to pay $4.00 a month in order to build a game. I honestly don't care about that part, though. So... 5 star.

App won't stop crashing. Tried to sit down and make character art and I wasn't able to use the app for more than 2 minutes without it crashing.

I like the game, there is one issue, every now and then the game just crashes, but I would also really appreciate a background changer.

The game was working fine, and a lot of fun to play, but started having a lot of errors and I can't proceed. I have to close the app. Please help!

I don't actually have anything to write a review about because I can't get an account set up. And that makes me really sad because I know my parents paid money to get the kit so I could use it. Whoever decided the whole "lol you now have to pay for an account in addition to the kit" thing, please go re-evaluate your life choices. I might change the stars on the review if i can figure out the account setup.

So you pay for the physical game, just to have to pay for the app too?! Really disappointed and feel like I have no choice but to pay for the app having bought the game.

This is terrible when I try to build a games it keeps showing this thing to log off because there is a error and I don't think there is a error

It's so fun I love playing the games it gives me NES vibes it's very fun and creative and i love how you can build your own games which is amazing keep up the good work

Game is really fun and easy to use, but when I tried to upload a game and I clicked "Publish" It said "User not found." The subscription was still running and I was logged into my account, I'm uninstalling and installing it again to see if it will fix the issue. Please fix this immediately!!

Someone bought this for my 7YO, they presumably paid money for it. Turns out, to use it *at all*, it costs $4/mo. I could understand if online features were $4/mo, or if DLC was $4, but that's not what this is. This is pay once, then, oops, pay again for what you already bought. Great idea ruined by an absolutely baffling revenue model.

I only downloaded this app again in order to write this review. One word: Disappointment. I was really excited to play this, but in order to build your own games, you have to sign up for either a monthly or yearly subscription. And I don't have that kind of money. Unless there's a way for me to create an account for free, I`m not re-downloading this.

Access to free games, a bit clunky engine. Got the box of pieces as a gift, but disappointed I can't make even one level for free before subscribing. Will probably subscribe at some point to try making a game.

I paid 50$ for this about 4 years ago and recently found it again in my closet. Why in all that exists is there a subscription service locked behind a paywall in order to use the thing that I already paid for. It's like if I needed to buy the DLC in order to play the base game. In any other situation it makes no sense, so why implement it here?

WHAT ON EARTH!!! After the previous bloxels I wanted to try and build on this, and you have to pay monthly to build! I'm sorry, but you can buy like a game designer for like £30 on PC and it's better quality and not subscription. At no point it states that you have to buy an account in the images. It is only mentioned in small detail in the about info. In the reviews, I see one reply to these and all that is is 'please email us'. Complete scam of an app.

i like the game though it gets very anoyying also, forceing people to rate your game is wrong. your not in charge of our lifes.

Great... if you only want to make a single game in 1 sitting.. Had an error while developing my game it told me to close the app I did. When i came back it would not open my game for me. Re-logged multiple times. Then every tab was an exact copy of the games tab all of them had switched. Errors all around. No way to change art into characters figured that out after spending an hour making art. Just no. If we didn't have the kit I would not pay for the app. Sad just sad. Developers took about 1-2 months to get back to me on my issue. At least they did some won't ever get back to you.

The Original Bloxels Was A Blast. But In this New One, You Have To Buy The Ability To Make Levels! It locks away the best part of the game, and you can't even play the old one. However, if you do pay the ludicrous price of $30, it is amazing. The character creation, the top down, the ridiculous amount of customization, it's awesome.

Very disappointing. We bought the full Bloxels kit for our kids in 2018 and they loved it. We tried using it again recently, and the functionality of the app has changed. We would have to pay additional fees, and the original $60 kit is useless. This is a shameless money grab and a very disappointing way to treat existing users of the app.

I used to love this game. Now you have to spend 20$ just to play. It isn't even as good as it was, from the random games of on the arcade I've played. Destructible blocks don't exist, and you kill things by jumping on them, which makes this literally just a bad mario knockoff in terms of gameplay. If you made it so that I could build games without paying, I'd give it 3 stars. If you brought back the old mechanics, 5. I would not recommend this game, unless you have a lot of money. Thank you.

We paid for the set for our kids, but now have to pay again to use it? Kids are dissapointed, parents are frustrated. Bloxels, you can't have it both ways. The set is useless without the app. Why is there no free app to get started with the set?
