Blue Connect
Blue Connect app is compatible with the Blue Connect analyser and the Blue by Riiot analyser.
Blue Connect measures the temperature, pH, the disinfectant concentration (chlorine, bromine, salt chlorinator) and the conductivity (salinity) of the water.
The device send automatically these data thanks to teh sigfox network (verify the coverage of your place on https://www.blueconnect.io/en/produits/blue-connect/), or send manually with Bluetooth on your smartphone.
It can also send the data via you Wi-Fi network thanks to the bridge Blue Extender (see below).
Blue Connect app gives access to your pool data and notifies you in case of problem.
The application is divided in four main sections:
- Dashboard: Informs you of Blue Connect’s status, the water temperature, the local weather and the quality of your pool water.
- Table of values: Informs you precisely of the values measured by Blue Connect, trends and ideal values.
- Maintenance guide: Advises you on the operations to perform to maintain the quality of the water in your pool.
- Settings: Allows you to configure the settings for your pool and Blue devices, as well as have access to help and technical support.
The app is available in the following languages : English - French - Spanish - Catalan - Dutch - German - Italian - Portuguese - Czech - Polish - Swedish.
Blue is now part of the great automation family:
• It is compatible with Amazon Alexa. Alexa is a smart personal assistant. Alexa can inform you about the parameters of the water of your pool (temperature, pH, redox, conductivity, salinity...) as well as the needed maintenance action. You only need to ask, for example, "Alexa, ask Blue Connect about the pH of the water".
• It works with IFTTT. IFTTT is a free website that helps automate daily tasks. This system connects web services and connected objects, like Blue, that do not always speak the same language. IFTTT means "IF This Then That" and allows to create very simple automatisms called "recipe", for example such as: "If Blue sends a measure, log it in an excel file ."
Blue range includes other products:
- Blue Check: connected strips thanks to the free app Blue Connect. Enter manually in the app the results of the test strips and benefit the info and the advices it provides.
- Blue Fit50: a tapping saddle allowing to fix Blue Connect on the piping of the technical room.
- Blue Extender: a casing allowing to automatically transfer the data with your Wi-Fi network. This product is particularly useful if the location of your pool is not covered by the Sigfox network.
- Blue Plus: Advanced version Blue Connect app that includes more features ( more measures, a full measures history, a multiple access to a swimming pool, …)
- Blue sensor Au: An optimal sensor for salt chlorinator swimming pools.

Exceptional app and hardware, this app is a joy to use, well designed and laid out, no crashes. Blue connect and WiFi extender work flawlessly out of the box, Alexa integration works well, and the app tells you exactly what to do to fix chemical levels in your pool or spa. Highly recommended ! P.s. would love to see a temperature widget for Android next !
Total waste of money This is advertised to work in all pools, but those with a salt chrolinator return sensor errors unless you pay more for a gold sensor. The Sigfox connection does not work, but you can pay more to get a Wi-Fi extender. I hope I can get a refund. As an update, Astral replaced my Blue Connect with a Blue Connect Plus, so the probe is working now. Unfortunately the Sigfox connection is very flakey.
I've used the app for a few days with my new Blue Connect Premium. Checking the balance of chlorine and pH has never been so easy. The app is incredibly well designed for the user, intuitive, sleek, and a pleasure to use. I enjoy the accompanying Alexa skill where my wife can also easily find out what the spa temperature is. However, I've encountered two bugs already, of which I will contact support for. So I can't say it's a perfectly polished app, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. This brings me down half a star to 4.5. But then I'm dropping my rating down to 4 because unless you use one of the two designated brands of chemicals, which are not at my local pool shop, then it won't necessarily give you the accurate amount of product to add. I was assuming that I could set the concentration of chemicals I use, and whether liquid or solid, but no. Just two brands, and a generic, none of which necessarily match. With so many other options that have suggested default values, but are manually over-writable (such as the ORP thresholds, temperature, pH, etc, and a calculator to visually help you determine your volume of water, they clearly are very capable app developers, so it's clear that it is intentional that they don't let you configure your preferred brand of chemicals. Obviously they have a deal going on with these chemical companies. But if you've paid for the app, either through Google Play or via the > $500 price of the Blue Connect, c'mon guys, don't be greedy, stop double dipping! At least let me pay a once-off $10 extra to "allow" me to enter my chemical concentrations so I can fully enjoy the app. The two issues I"m having are overnight, notification once an hour telling me the temperature is 15.2 degrees, but when I review the dashboard it was slowly cooling from 25 to 20. So that makes no sense, notifications giving different values to what's actually recorded. Also, I can't edit any details in my pool, without getting an "error loading data".
DONT BUY ONE OF THESE AS THERE IS NO AFTER MARKET SERVICE WHATSOEVER. YOU WILL BE LOSING YOUR MI EY AFTER A YEAR OR SO. This product worked really well for about 12 months. Then it simply stopped talking to the app. I think this occurred d after an app upgrade. I have had no help whatsoever from my reseller and the company has not returned any of my emails. It has now been 4 months and after paying a good amount of money for the blue connect it is completely useless.
after having a lot of issues with incorrect measures and strange errors when attempting to calibrate the device. Astral pools is now sending a new device. so hopefully I will be trouble free from now. it's a great product when it's calibrated correctly.
Bluetooth stopped working after 2 and a half weeks and Sigfox connection never worked reliably. No way to get support. Paid for the Plus subscription and received 1 measurement every 2 days at best during the time it worked, even though my area appears to have coverage on the Sigfox website. Update: Fluidra replaced the faulty unit - no issues since then.
Great if works but lots of time it comes up with an error or incomplete test data. Definitely not worth the money.
It does what I expected and that is fantastic! Bluetooth range is very short.
Love this thing. Not quite a set it and forget it thing, but it makes having a pool easier. I recommend this to everyone I know that has a pool.
Blue Connect Plus, Worked well for first nine months then stopped taking automatic measurements, permanently says "Network connectivity down" same message for 10 months, unit exchanged but same message.
Great Device. My pool has never been so blue. Never have to take a water sample to the pool store again. Support also good

The app does not connect to the device. The service department does not answer phone calls and the chat function just tells me to check the manual. Device beeps but will not connect via Bluetooth to any device. Obviously the developer doesn't read as I have tried to connect with the chat and they cant help. There is an issue with your app both on Android and apple
