Blue Letter Bible

Impressive app. It has yet to bother me with ads or requests for five-star reviews (I'm reviewing it purely on my own volition). It doesn't require internet access, it comes with lots of translations. The navigation is simple, the search works well, the additional features (highlighting, notes, bookmarks) are intuitive and easy to use. There are few apps as well-designed as this one, and this one (as far as I can tell) is absolutely free. I really can be effusive enough: this app is off-the-hook

I love this tool as part of my regular Bible study. However, I have recently started having problems when using the Interlinear feature. I see that and update last August was supposed to fix the problem of the app crashing when using this feature. Perhaps it is time for another update? That is the feature I use the most in this app so it renders it useless for me.

A really good app. But the Bible versions are extremely hard to download - WiFi or not. The downloads run forever and rarely conclude, until one has to abort the process - or the process itself gives up! Then, kindly consider making individual words highlightable, or a note created for them, and for bookmarking. The beauty of study and revelation in these last days, is in nuances and words, not necessarily whole verses. Thanks.

AT 1st I didn't see any Strong Tools in the app, but the app also has these tool it's just that you do not see them. Once you have text opened there are no indications or menus for interlinear, but they pop up when you TOUCH THE SCREEN! The interlinear tools are laid out differently and each version, web and app, have different benefits. Be aware that if you are on the web and have the app you searches will open in the app! That's not good!

One minor change recommendation: When selecting a book and chapter, the order is currently left to right across the columns and then form to the next row. It feels awkward every time. The spacing and grouping makes it much more natural to go down a row and then right to the next column. Make that change and I'll delete the other Bible app on my phone.

It's a decent app, but it routinely skips over whole chapters in the reading plan when i haven't checked that chapter off. It has skipped over 3 chapters numerous times...basically the days reading. Very annoying. Also, there's no way to go back and see what you've read in the past. It's a good app, but missing some basic stuff

I find the darkness of the font color used for the red letter difficult to discern easily while I'm dark mode. Perhaps, the red letters color tone could be adjustable by the user. Consider there may be color blindness issues for some users. Presets for particular types of color blindness might be included in the app. Thank you for recognizing that some users might have disabilities that make the clean look and color scheme of the blb app less than ideal.

Great app and extremely helpful. Full of a ton of resources. It's like having a library in your phone. I do wish I could download other versions of Bible, commentary, and Strongs as an offline feature. Would also love to see the BLB gallery on the app as well. Again, amazing tool. It's a must have for any student.

This is my favorite Bible app. the different version are very helpful when comparing them side by side ("parallel" option). I love that I can bookmark and highlight under different categories of my choosing. I enjoy being able to search for specific words or phrases. Don't always have to have internet connection to read KJV so can read on plane or where there is no service.

I love BLB, I've been using it for about a year now but I've noticed the menu's can be buggy, and the one thing that really drives me nuts is the daily reading. It will intermittently go back to a previous day even after I've marked as read. If I mark as read again, it will complete the current day's reading and I have no way to navigate back to the missed day other than just doing a search.

Honestly, I love the simplicity of this Bible app. There are no bells and whistles to distract me but rather helpful tools. I love, love, love that I can color code my highlights and then look back at all of the verses in one group!! This is something I have been wanting for over a year! However, the android app could use an update when it comes to color options. (Personally, I find the android version of the app easier than the ios version, but I miss being able to personalize my colors more.)

I loved this app until I upgraded my phone. I had spent hours taking notes, highlighting verses, and saving in different folders. When I installed the app on my new phone, none of my backups would transfer. I sent the company an email and have received no response. The backup feature on this install does'nt work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app twice to no avail.

I've been looking for an app that gives the pronunciation (in audio) of every Strong's Hebrew & Greek entry. This app does that! The interlinear format is very easy to follow. There's an enormous amount of reference material (written & audio commentaries, dictionaries, translation comparisons, cross-references). There's a forum where you can find technical help and it's easy to get to from within the app. And no ads! If you donate in support of an app, this is a worthy recipient.

I love this app and want to add more stars. But with recent update I am no longer able to use the Interlinear. When click on the phrase after clicking on the Reverse Interliner it closes the app. Also, I don't truly like the change in the Interlinear. I liked it when English was the first option and if you where studying with the NASB it would use that in the word look up.

I love this app! The only negative issue I have is that you can't pause, rewind, forward nor see where the message (sermon) timeframe is. If the screen times out or you leave the apps window to try to follow along by looking at the scripture while the sermon is playing - then something happens where the timeframe pointer (or counter) just goes to the end but not where the message actually is. Forgive my complaint, but i do appreciate the makers of this app.

App was great and I was depending on it more and more. However, I followed the One Year Bible plan, got to the end, had one chapter to read to finish and the app froze. l it will not let me finish my plan. Tried getting out of the application, rebooting the phone and still it will not let me finish. so I went to the app on my tablet and finished it there. app says you've completed your plan feel free to start another one. however the app froze and won't let me. I've emailed twice, no response.

This app has fed me the Word of Truth for years now and i love the variety of study tools and help that it offers for spuritual growth. While i enjoy the ability to create verse notes in the mobile app and highlight whole verses, i still miss not having the ability to interact more with individual words in a given verse (i.e. underlining and highlighting). This would be the ultimate 5-star app if this feature could be integrated. Thank you for giving us a great app!

Very useful app. Powerful search options, You can download some translations to phone for offline use. There are bible reading plans to follow. I really like the option to have the screen auto scroll for me while I am reading. Convenient way to copy to clip board the selected verse or a whole range of verses. It has real audio for some bibles translations. List of cool features just keeps going. Must try this app.

I've been using this app since forever, I've tried others but always revert back to this one for the Greek and Hebrew def., ease of navigating, & the extra commentaries. My only suggestion, which I can't find on any app, is the ability to write notes under or next to each verse, instead of adding notes somewhere else, it would be so convenient in being able to see my notes right there on that page right where the verse is, this is what I'll continue to look for in a perfect bible study app.

Love the app. This app has many powerful tools for Bible study and reading. I love the cross references and audio commentary. I also love the expositions. I do have one request though. I would love the ability to control the audio player with my Bluetooth headset. I'm not able to control the play and pause features, and I wish that I could do that. Other than that, this app is perfect.

i use this more than my paper Bible for convenience sake. i like that can highlight passages, make reference notes, & that it offers a reading plan. HOWEVER, the biggest fault of this app is the inability to sync data on different mobile devices, it is ultra annoying not to be able to see where i am in my reading plan on phone or tablet, to not be able to sync notes, highlights. i have to manually recopy & rehighlight everything to have same info on both!!!!! i will find another app.

Would love to be able to give this five stars, but as of today the app no longer works, I cannot use any of it's features due to it "needing an internet connection", which I most certainly have. I've tried everything I can think of to resolve the provlem (reboot, clearing cache, reinstalling) but something must be wrong on their server end as the issue persists. 😢

My go to Bible app with multiple versions to choose from and you can switch between them. It also has multiple commentaries to choose from. You can read the chapters or have the app read them to you. It stores on your external SD card leaving space for more apps. This is the most recommended app by real Christian websites. A definitely must have app. Don't leave home w/o it. You never know who you will meet who can be helped, encouraged, and blessed by the Word of God!

This is wonderful; however, I would make this a 5 plus rating if these capabilities were possible. 1. When highlighting, it places what I highlighted in the color highlighted regardless which chapter it came from. "I think it would be better if each bible book had it's own color, which would make it easy to find highlights book specific. Also when wanting to just highlight a word or sentence, you could allow this by using a very light grey color overlay to accent the already highlighted color .
