The new, improved Bluefang dog training app makes training your dog quick and easy. It turns your phone into a hand-held training device and may be used with our Bluefang Bluetooth dog training collar.
DOG BMI CALCULATOR: Enter your dog’s breed, gender, height and weight. The app instantly calculates your dog’s BMI showing its current fitness level verses ideal.
COLLAR FEATURES: The app remotely operates the Bluefang dog training collar, via Bluetooth, with a range of up to 400 feet, to provide REMOTE TRAINING, BARK CONTROL and ACTIVITY TRACKING. Some Bluefang collar models work with High Tech Pet’s electronic fence systems, electronic dog doors and other dog controlled accessories. Linking is wireless and quick. Just scan for collars and tap the one you want to link to. Switch collars in just seconds.
REMOTE TRAINING: The app remotely activates any of 6 audible training tones generated by the collar, each associated with a specific, user defined, command. It also activates a clicker device in the collar used to positively enforce desired dog behavior. You may also activate the collar’s vibration generator and static stimulus generator used to deter unwanted or dangerous behavior. The intensity and duration of the static stimulus may be individually controlled and adjusted to your dog’s unique temperament. The app controls an unlimited number of collars. Each collar may be given a unique stimulus profile specific to the individual dog wearing the collar.
BARK CONTROL: The Bluefang Collar has built in bark control that may be activated and tailored to your dog via the app. Choose from 3 training modes. Normal mode stops all barking. Anti-Intruder mode stops nuisance barking but allows the more excited type of barking your dog exhibits when barking at an intruder or emergency. Anti-Howl mode stops barking and howling.
ACTIVITY MONITOR: Track your dog’s motion throughout the day and view the minutes spent and calories burned at each of 5 activity levels. Data may be displayed by day, week, month or year and is stored for view when not linked to the collar.
ELECTRONIC FENCE: Some Bluefang collar models have a built-in electronic fence receiver to work with any High Tech Pet electronic fence transmitter. The transmitter sends a radio signal through a boundary wire you bury around your yard to administer static stimulus if your dog attempts to cross the boundary. This feature also works with High Tech Pet’s SUPER SCRAM mat that causes the collar to emit stimulus whenever the dog steps on the mat keeping your dog off furniture, away from trash cans and other “off limits” areas. Electronic fence may be remotely toggled on and off with the app.
ELECTRONIC PET DOOR: Some Bluefang models have a built-in ultrasonic transmitter that operates High Tech Pet’s motorized Power Pet door that automatically opens on your dog’s approach. Also operates the High Tech Pet Sound Barrier and Yard Barrier portable sonic fences. The app lets you remotely toggle this feature on and off.
The app controls an unlimited number of collars and lets you create a unique profile for each, including dog name, commands, stimulus level and bark control settings. Includes in-app help screens.

-APP Review- The app is slightly incomplete and the latest update made bark control useless because the app re-defaults to "monitor only" mode 30 seconds after changing any settings. It is difficult to tell when settings have been saved as there is no save button for most settings screens. It is even more difficult to tell if the settings have been accepted by the BF30 collar (no save button means no feedback success message) -BF-30 Collar- I am on my third collar in just under a year. Dog chewed through the housing of the first collar, the second went for a swim in the lake and never functioned again. The third is failing to interact with the door after the latest app update (11/11/18). Proprietary batteries are extortion. -PowerPet 2 Door- The door functions perfectly and has a nice battery backup option. The frame is thin plastic but it is effective. For install I created an oversize plywood sandwich and tunnel through my exterior door bolted together with flush elevator bolts. I screwed the Powerpet door frame directly to the plywood on each side. Currently the door will not detect the collar. Troubleshooting between the app, collar, and door settings...TBD.
Bark control became useless after putting in a fresh battery, because the dog size and bark volume parameters are stuck at values that do nothing. Can no longer move settings sliders in the app from my Pixel XL, nor from my wife's Samsung Galaxy S8. Seems to be a pretty good piece of training equipment, but since it depends 100% on the app, and the app isn't good, well...
Could be way better. The app is slow to load. Slow to connect to collar. That is if it even does. The dog pretty much has to be in the same room. Takes forever to load data from collar and last firmware update crashes the app and will not install. The whole system has been subpar. Wish I would have saved the money and stuck with my old system. At least offer a remote for the 5 in 1 collar. Since the app never works.
Collar for the BF-30 does not fit well for small dogs. I believe there are some coding errors in some spots by seeing "dog& apos;s" in some spots. Also the bark control settings seems to not want to take charges after the initial setup settings. Also app doesn't save the birthday of the dogs not that it's important.
Gets locked up syncing data! In concept it seems like great app and objectives, however doesn't work at present for me. Kind of very spendy swing and miss on collar costs. As result the bark control (data history at least) is nothing and he has barked. Oh and my phone is not going into sleep mode. I would suggest others to wait to purchase collar until these issues improve
App and communication with collar is slow. Resets Bluetooth on my phone when trying to communicate. Dogs end up showing up multiple times under my dogs. Trying to allow access to multiple family members doesn't work. Great concept, poor execution.
I bought the door and the bluefang collars. I love the door! It's amazing! The collars, not so much. It allows my dog to bark 100 times in one day lol. The whole point of the collar is to stop the barking. I spent $135 a collar to open up the door. I did just purchase one of the $50 collars for a guest dog to use and it's made extremely cheap. The collar itself is going to last maybe 3 months. The gadget on it that opens the door is cheap plastic. The app is slow and not very thought out.
I just bought the RX-10, and it wont work. I bought the collar through the app thinking it would be fine and wanting to support the company rather then buying through a 3rd party like Chewy. I have the weather proof collar which works with showing up in the app to use with the app but the RX-10 will not show up in the app. I am a techy person so I know it is not me nor my devices. I tried on 3 different phones. It still works with the door, just not the app.
I really dislike this app. On several occasions I can enter information about my dog and on the confirmation screen it defaults to "bluefang" for my dogs name and clears the other settings. The application also has a penchant for defaulting to hi power use which kills the battery in the collar really fast. Also the bark control is a joke. No mater what I set it to, it does nothing to stop my dogs barking. I honestly miss the old 9v collars my dogs had for a cheaper system. They lasted forever and didn't have near the problems that this does.
PLEASE FIX THE BUGS. I CANT EVEN USE ANY OF THE FUNCTIONS. IT WONT LET ME SAVE ANY SETTINGS. LIKE BARK CONTROL OR TRAINING. DOESNT EVEN SYNC TO THE COLLAR TO TELL ME IF MY DOG IS BARKING I can't use half the functions because this app is awful. Keeps saying it is updating but doesn't. Keeps saying the collar is disconnected but isn't
The collar and app are a joke, it burns through batteries entirely too quickly. Not sure if this is owned by hitec pet but they do not allow honest reviews of the product. The latency of relay from phone to collar is too long to allow your dog to pick up any training. Connection and relay make this a terrible product.
system seemed great when I was just using it for bark control. I have a BF 25 collar on one dog and a BF 30 collar on the other. updated the app and finally got around to installing the fence, now the BF 30 is telling me that it is not compatible with the containment system and all of the the other tracking features on the app are telling me that they are only available with the BF 30 even when I have selected the dog who is wearing that collar.
App hardly works at all, crashes, freezes, doesn't connect to paired collar, and now it requires a login? For what? Probably just advertising.
So frustrating. It crashes regularly. I have been trying to update my dog's collar for 30 minutes and it keeps crashing
was an ok system, then it did an update now NOTHING works between the system extra collar's and installation I'm in the hole close to 1k. Customer service is phone call during the weekdays only. I will never consider any of their products again!
After several attempts to contact them after they tell me.to, I still get no response. The app is worthless, loses connection when out with dogs walking. Biggest waste of money.
Does not work on Galaxy S10+ with Android 9. Keeps shutting down when setting up. Plus it dont work with older BF-22 collars. Grrrr
Love the collar. App is somewhat user friendly. Would love to see a home screen widget added.
Keeps disconnecting....not able to use....tried uninstalling and reinstalling still with no good result.
Collar worked Good for 2 days, now nothing, call, messaged and emailed customer care with no results of helping me out. Very disappointed returning the system
Currently the editing a dog creates a new dog. The cloud sync is broken. IMO.
The high tech collars are junk and don't last / work consistently.
the barking mode won't enable once I leave the screen it shuts off

OK but replacement batteries seem to be a way of gouging customers.
I've had this app and collar for 2 months. I liked this app and collar for the first month. After I replaced the battery the collar stopped recognizing her bark so stopped correcting her when she barked. Not very good for a bark collar. I've called and emailed customer service several times without any results. No one calls or emails back. They were quick to respond when making the sale but not for service. I've been trying to contact them for a month for repair without word from them. Hoping this negative review gets their attention. Nothing else has.
Can't get the collar to connect. Have tried for the past 3 hours. Just have a message to wait for the collar to connect. I have installed and uninstalled the app, turned off the phone, removed the battery from the collar 3 or 4 times and still won't download the settings to the collar. Don't know what else to try. Left the app running all night.
The app is very slow to sync with the collar and previous updates to the app have reset my settings (causing the fence and bark correction to be turned off). Also, the new style of battery does not fit as well as the old style, so I just leave it in the on position. Good concept, but poor execution. The software has always had issues and it seems to be getting worse. One example: when you edit the settings for a dog and save them, a whole new profile shows up and leaves the old one there.
