BlueTask
BlueTask allows audio routing using BT headset. In addition it can intercept the pressure of headset buttons, about the setup: after the button has been pressed with the screen on of your smartphone, select "BlueTask" when the system shows the popup "Complete action with" and select "Always".It allows to force connection or disconnection to a BT device.It allows to perform BT scan to get list of near devices with RSSI value (in order to get a device, the device must be in discoverable state).

Works fine for me for the purpose of getting the connected Bluetooth device's battery level. Wish there was better documentation, but wasn't too bad getting it going with Tasker. And free?? Even better. Thanks for the plugin, Marco!!
i have a OnePlus 8 Pro and installed this thinking it would allow me to actually use Tasker to disconnect a connected Bluetooth device (normal disconnect task won't work). i still can't get it to work. no instructions on how to use the plugin in a Tasker task. can't find it when searching Tasker. Fail.
Install Tasker and this plugin. Actually to try to fix a problem with iHeartRadio which kept popping up every time I connected a Bluetooth device. After months of Investigation I found the problem was with an app I installed a year ago. Shortcutter, it's an excellent program however somehow it was causing my Bluetooth to open iHeart. After uninstalling I Heart Radio it would force Play Store to open. After figuring this out I uninstalled Tasker. Although Tasker maybe a great program.
Found this when searching for problems with slow connect/disconnect with Bluetooth Auto Connect - and it certainly resolved the problems - and even gives me battery levels! A happy used of Marco's SecureTask plugin in the past, thanks so much for this!
Finally, a simple way to intercept a bluetooth button press and make it do something else via Tasker. Better instructions would be nice. Works well.
Works a treat for forcing a connection to my Google Home via Tasker; my Nokia on Pie seems to have problems automagically reconnecting to bluetooth devices.
Unfortunately, I didn't understand what this app do and how I should interact with it. Some instructions would be really helpful.
Doesn't work with Automate. Can't fault app dev, because it doesn't mention Automate; I just wanna let folks know.
No instructions on how to use with tasker. If I figure it out, may change rating.

I cannot assign numbers to %btbuttonnum according to BT button pressed on my connected BT remote with play control buttons. This is possibly due to lacking documentation that needs to be greatly improved. It looks like only one or two buttons on the remote can be used fot automation? Many remotes have 5 buttons: (+) (-)(back)(forward)(play/pause].
