I've had these since they first came out 6 or 7 years ago, and they are awesome! Occasional hiccups with the application when new versions are added, but Brad and team work diligently to correct any problems and are very responsive. The features on the new(er) Flex model are both innovative and practical.
After the last few updates on the app I'm unable to use the custom tones for my bluetipz...they just show "turned off" and there's no way to turn turn back on...I've pressed on the tone...I've long pressed and three seems to be no fix. I have the first Generation bluetipz. Hoping for an answer on how to fix the issue.
Was a great app till they came out with a new version. Basically makes my two older models worthless. One isn't read at all, and the other just crashes the app. Very disappointing. A promising product, but at $30+ per item, I wont recommend investing in something that is obsolete in less than 2 years.
Great product and the customer service is above expectations. Note you might need a pager if in a wheelhouse or shack with alum siding.
Even though I'm having issues with my prior version of mine,I messaged them on Facebook and got a message right away saying they were working on a fix.Any time I have ever had an issue it has been with an update since phones are changing so much.Deep Freeze puts out a phenomenal product.i have only had them not work on 2 occasions and this being one.my fishing partner just scans all so im covered for now.problem solved.the new ones are awesome how you can set the degrees it can be set off
Had a little trouble getting the app to work, but customer service was super quick and helpful and emailed me a link to get it working. They also said an updated version will be up today for everyone to download.
In MN it is ice fishing time I didn't get out last year. Pulled my stuff together and my Blue is probably 5 years old. Thought I better update the app oh what a mistake. Well bottom line it didn't work. Sent off an email via the app and I kid you not within 20 minutes Brad calls and this was like 6pm. We tried a few things and nothing two new app versions later nothing. Brad even sent me a special app since mine is older. Nothing. Brad always kept me in the loop. Best service ever and all workin
App not work and last Wednesday when I was using it it would only vibrate my phone and no sound and would keep vibrating my phone not only when I had a fish on. Can you fix this problem please.
Used to work great now it wont work at all, have to turn everything off and back on each time in the hopes it will notify me when it goes up, defeats the purpose when you have to keep checking it
Used to work great! Now it just vibrates my phone. No audio notification and all of my volumes are turned up. What changed!?
Was using this app for two years with no problems, now won't launch. And your link (to Chad Johnson) will not work also. Please advise. Steve Miner Update... App is working now with link update 5 stars now.
Was good when it worked. The older models of lights no longer work on the app.
Works sweet, don't have to keep looking out the windows looking for a flag or light.
Works great with my Automatic Fishermen. I love them for walleyes at night

Just bought 2 pair for my dad and I, quit working when a signal is sent to the phone, the app keeps closing down. These are junk of this app does not work. Please fix!!! We planned on fishing tonight! Update: I emailed the company at 7 pm and Brad the owner emailed me back 5 minutes later with a YouTube video to help with settings. It seems the app does not work with personalized tones so not a total loss. Definitely the ice fishing product of the year if it works well. Look forward to using it soon. Great customer service with deep freeze company!
What it needs is to remove the facebook sharing garbage. It's a fishing app and not social media. Replace the facebook garbage so a user can add a custom pic instead.
App worked for about 12 hours, but now I'm out on the lake and the app won't pick any of my devices up. They show up in my Bluetooth menu in settings but not at all in the bluetipz app. Even tried to remove device and reconnect, now I can't even connect to it. Needs to be fixed. ASAP.
Works good on the ice but the app needs work, the Facebook link does not work and the scanning notification will not clear on my droid. I have to turn the phone off just to get rid of the icon when done.
Love the idea but I was a trip 2 weeks ago and it got pretty cold over night and when I got up in the morning to check it, it was not working anymore. Had to warm it up and then worked fine.

Have 3 of the tip up sensors. Can't imagine fishing without them. Instead of checking tip ups and potentially missing a flag every few minutes, this allows you to get to your flag the minute it gets tripped. I've noticed the fish don't swallow the hook as much either, because your able to attend to your tip up much quicker. For those having notification issues, you must have your "notification" volume on as well. Not just the media volume. That was the problem i had before Brad was able to help
