I really wish they would update this app. They asked me for all my phone info when I bought it a few months ago and said they would be updating the app the end of August. Here we are in September and still only a small group of phones are supported. I bought this specifically because it was advertised as supporting a "range" of Android devices. They should drop that and only list a limited number of Android device. The list is so small they could just list each one. If I would have know this was going to happen I would have just returned it in the 90 days. I've never left a bad review on any app before.i specialize in advance diagnostics and always try to have the latest technology at my shop and I'm just disappointed in the app for this and it seems like support died a long time ago.
Installed the app turned on Bluetooth. Linked each sensor. Followed the instructions. After setting the devices the app just sits there thinking about connecting. Over an hour of trying I gave up.
I've spent a lot of my company's money on the hardware I cannot get the software to work. This app is very frustrating and needs a major overhaul. Is the hardware compatible with any other software out there?
Has Steelman ever made a product that works? To JS Products response; Your solution... to find an old phone and buy it, so your product will work. Sounds like the CrApple mentality, put a poor product out and blame the customer. How about you learn how to do your job and update the software.
Poor app. No support for newer phones. Glad I did not buy this pos product.
App opens but doesn't read the Bluetooth modules. When you connect it shows zero dB and doesn't change at all. The Auto button doesn't work.. What's more surprising is that there isn't anyone checking this companies app or responding to customer issues.. Just spent 600+ dollars on this tool and cannot even use it...
I've gone round and round with this. Using two different nexus 5, which is listed as tested. Tech support said my Android version is too new, wait until January for update. Well here it is November, a year later, with no update. The suggested alternative was use a laptop. So I bought a laptop, installed the software, on the rare occasion it connects it sounds decent, but when I change channels I'm rolling the dice. I've decided to cut my losses. Such a cool idea though.
DOES NOT WORK. WILL NOT CONNECT TO PHONE OR TABLET. NO SOFTWARE INCLUDED WITH PRODUCT; MUST DOWN LOAD FROM GOOGLE AP STORE. GREAT IDEA, BUT SAVE YOUR MONEY; THIS EQUIPMENT DOES NOT WORK.
Galaxy s5, nothing works. App opens, connects to modules. No sound. A very expensive tool that does not work. I was able to get it to work on a galaxy s6, i think trying to use this in a real world situation trying isolate components will be more of a head ache than its worth. U will be dealing with the app shutting off and other issues. Dont make a mistake and buy this product. Better off getting the old wired version that works every time, i will give this a try and update this review but 2 stars for now
Works great with my Samsung tab 4 and my Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Great app and hardware for pinpointing unwanted noise in a vehicle.
Do not buy this.
Does not work with lg g stylo...does work with win 10 but issues with connecting multiple mods for the price of the pro version I expected better support for devices...

Rolled the dice and can't get the app to work on my Motorola. It does work on my windows 10 Panasonic tough book that I have in the shop. The interface is pretty bad because of the square 13" screen (recycled machine from a police cruiser). The PC program seems to be very basic and underdeveloped with a kind of windows95 look to it. Save your money and buy the old reliable chassis ears with wires.
